I just got a Godhead of Awe and i think it is a pretty nice card! but whenever i play it in a deck it takes to long to get out,... is it worth getting a full set or what should i do to make this card work for me? And yes i am a Magic N00B :'(
Godhead of Awe 5 W/Blue Manna to play
Creature - Spirit Avatar
Flying Other Creatures are 1/1
Also if there are two of these cards on the Feild do they cancel eachother out?
Thanks -Magic Noob~

It's a neat card, and its effect saved my a** in a draft once. However, you need more than one to really reap the benefits. Personally, I prefer the W/U Liege to the Godhead.

a 2nd one in play will not "cancel" the other ones effect, it will however make both of them 1/1's effectively ending the godheads dominance.
The problem with the godhead in this block is that there are alot of counters and enchantments, and those effects go on top of the godheads, so the godhead would for example make your opponents creature a 1/1, which would then recieve the bonus's from it's counters and enchantments.
In addition, please note that the godhead is NOT a humility effect, the creatures all retain there properties i.e. first strike, shroud, colour(s) etc etc.
On the other hand, i have a casual/block deck which uses Godhead of Awe with Nobilis of war and Springjack shepards. i make 0/1 goat tokens which then become STRONGER due to the Godhead, and proceed to get +2/+0 when attacking because of the nobilis. I am also experimenting with rise of the hobgoblins in that deck to give the goats first strike.

I think if you're going to use a spirit avatar from shadowmoor or eventide, you should use Demigod of Revenge or Nobilis of War... maybe even Dominus of Fealty, probably the Demigod out of al of them because he's the hardest one to get around because his effect kicks in even if he's countered, he'll just bring himself and his buddies back.
