Ian's History
Ian Lewis Campbell was born May 17th in the year 1985. He was a bright child and when he was old enough to read spent all his time buried in the books he so loved. As he grew older, all his spare time was spent in the woods behind his house reading. He was the middle child of three boys so he wasn't bothered much during his reading, and was able to enjoy his life.
He started kindergarten and the kids were always teasing him because he could read. He became more quiet and sullen, spending even more time reading even to the point of completely ignoring his family. A few years passed in that way until Ian read a book about the knights of old. After reading that book Ian became completely lost from his family, choosing to instead go into the forest and pretend he was a knight. That went on for a year until he was 10 years old.
His older brother Marcus had decided to follow him into the forest where he played. Ian did not know Marcus was there, and when Marcus got bored of watching his younger brother he wandered off and got lost. His body had been found later, destroyed by wild dogs. The only thing left of Marcus was a silver wristwatch, which Ian took and has worn ever since.
Shortly after Marcus' death Ian's mother couldn't stand the memories and they moved to the city. In the city, life for Ian became worse. He was now the oldest child, and he couldn't read as much as he used to. His grades in school dropped and he barely scraped through middle school. In his sophomore year in high school, Ian was invited to a party by a girl he liked. That girl had a boyfriend and Ian had respected that and had never tried anything with the girl.
At the party a game of Truth or Dare took place and Ian was dared to kiss the girl, the only problem was that her boyfriend was sitting right next to her and when Ian kissed her the boyfriend grew angry and beat Ian to near unconsciousness. When he regained his bearings, Ian had developed an unreasonable fear of women. Whenever they approached him he would back away. Soon everyone thought he was homosexual. Unable to handle the torture his classmates put him through, Ian dropped out of high school and became a grocery store clerk.
For three years Ian worked at the grocery store and hoped that one day he could quit his job to do something he really wanted to do. That opportunity came through an add he saw in the newspaper, it detailed a training camp for those who wished to work as the knights at the Ren Faires. Ian signed up right away and getting good words from his younger brother James, he got onto a helicopter to fly to the remote island the camp was on.
