British comedy is the best comedy because it is actually funny.

Did you have any particular movies/comedians/routines/shows in mind, Digital?

Haven't really seen too much, other than a little bit here and there, so I can really say one way or the other.

Yeah I was thinking of the really old comedy show, Are You Being Served? and the newer movie Shawn Of The Dead.
Both have funny parts but most of it I find to be confusingly not funny.
On the other hand George Carlin was my favorite famous comedian. R.I.P.

"you've got red on you" lol i loved shawn of the dead. but yeah, george carlin totally pwns pretty much any current humor. stuff was just better in the 60s and 70s: monty python, george carlin, richard pryor. what do we have now? will ferrell doing the same tired old movies year after year. although steve carrell gives me a slight ray of hope

Comedy Central presents has some good stuff every now and then. Most of them are just average, but they're not too bad.

I disagree about there being no good modern comics, actually. Film comedy is, yes, an almost dead artform dominated by hacks like Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, and Eddie Murphy, but there are some live acts worth looking into.

The only British film I have ever seen was Shaun of the Dead. I haven't seen Monty Python or any of those so I don't even know how to describe British comedy xd

I like British humor, like the new and old. I used to watched a lot of BBC series and I'll admit sometimes I don't get it but when I do it's usually good stuff. Lately I found this show "That Mitchell and Webb Look" That is hilarious.

Monty Python > everything else
I have the movies, the giant box set with all the episodes of the show, and I've watched them all over and over again. John Cleese has got to be the funniest man ever born.
