~This thread is for Nobles and others who live within the House Druu'giir grounds~
The fortress like house itself is a massive stalactite that hangs from the overhead cavern ceiling. It is ornately carved with balconies and walk ways that circle the main structure. Below it lies the Garden with its large magical walls and many traps. The grounds are beautifully worked with sculptures and twisting pathways. in the center of the garden sits the guest house, a small structure that houses the magical lift ring and has several barrack quarters for the numerous guards and soldiers. From without.. the whole scene looks like a massive spike hanging over a beautiful garden, a point perhaps made by design.
Those who seek entry must first advance to the massive gates at the southern end of the fortress grounds. Shadow guards stationed there will then handle each supplicant in turn.

-Val'atar stood within his house, thinking as he watched the common drow and slaves hurry about their tasks. His ruby gaze slid from each and yet he didn't really see them as his mind was occupied with planning his next move. He'd planted his spy.. and even gone so far as to speak to the enemy, but he was now thinking of what to do next. Should he provoke an engagement with the Matron or merely wait and watch her response to his actions? He turns and glances up the spiral staircase, then walks along.. heading for his library. He needed to check a few things.. search for more information about the house itself.-

Vornicka's familiar, a bat that usually lingers close to it's mistress, flutters with unsteady beat of wings towards Val'atar's path. Lince'sa's consistent chittering was certainly a give away in the hollowed halls of it's presence, but normal considering the brethren that join it's travels in the UnderGaia. No, nothing unusual save for the fact that this one had a scroll, small and compact upon Lince'sa's back as many others it has carried before.
The news was late, but only by a day, in terms of an eternally dark world. The message came from the small creature's mistress, sealed with a magical ward that was meant for Val'atar to open, though it was for those of blood to the mistress specifically. Seeking out Val'atar, depending on the drow tiefling's efforts at hiding himself, takes little effort for the most part. The small bat, instead of settling on the drow, though, moves forth, going on towards Val'atar's library and hanging over a particular section of books that the mammal was familiar with, at eye level. The scroll was visible from the doorway, if the dark books it hung before hid the creature's form. Now Lince'sa waited.

-As he strode into the library.. he cast a quick spell. Routine for him before he began any research.. the spell was just to see if anyone was watching him. His attention was drawn to the small mammal hanging from the book shelf. He arches a brow and walks over to it, taking the scroll from its leg. His gaze scans down the scroll.. digesting its contents as he begins to think-

Within the scroll it read as follows:
I have sent to you message with the interesting happenings in this house that I reside. The matron has recruited me for reasons of taking care of affairs that are, in whole, below her attention. It seems she has no malicious intent in taking from your house, but the simple fact of supplying her own crumbling one. The patron is being sacrificed to Lolth and another goddess is in play, an opposing goddess. I had not heard her name, only felt the friction of the force during commotion that took place. They have recently lost their trapper, which was apparent when I was greeted by the signs of their trigger. It seems that betrayal is common place in this house, more than likely due to the matron's hasty decisions. The matron has even suggested that I become the new weapon's mistress, though that is a place for the Patron more times than not. Needless to say, the position is open.. but I have reinforced the idea that I like to earn my place before the title.. Make it less likely for me to betray her. Needless to say.. In either case, I shall keep you updated when possible, my pet should go unnoticed, for there are others in the castle as well. I shall try to give you names to work with. Should there be any need for information returned, please send it on my pet before it returns.
~your daughter~
The bat clung to it's perch, squeeking and flapping it's wings in slight agitation, but relaxed after a moment's settling. It peered towards Valatar with lavender eyes much like it's mistress own, waiting as patient as any animal could be expected to.

-Val'atar read the scroll, then pocketed it and pulled an identical one from a small pouch on his belt. he scribbles on it with magical ink taken from a nearby table.-
~{I speak with care least eyes of those unwanted see. Stay your course till you fear the falls, then paddle for shore and safety within the harbor. Should you have the need, call and i will sweep in like the darkness following a snuffed torch. If you see the foe, scribe their name in the sand that the whispers of the winged ones might reach my ears.}~
-He rolls the tiny parchment and ties it to the leg of the small bat, then carefully caries it to the nearby window.. releasing it outside-

Again the beast takes flight, chittering and fairly unsteady at first at being released. It was little to no time before he leveled out though and sought it's mistress, carrying the message.

-Val'atar regarded the city below for a time, then after a bit, he withdrew and sat down at a large table upon which lay a large tome. He spoke a word of power and then opened the book. At first the pages seemed blank, but then tiny pin pricks of red blood began to well to the surface of the pages. A smile spread upon his lips as he spoke the name of his rival and the blots of blood began to shift, giving what information the devil whom he had bound to it could gather from its hellish home.-

-His eyes lift from the pages as the laughter is heard. Val'atar rises from the table and looks around slowly.. then makes a series of motions while speaking words softly. A burst of light flares around him as he casts a divination spell, seeking the source of the laughter-

That won't work Val'atar. The Goddesses voice echoed. She chuckled lightly.

-the sound of her voice made him pause.. thou only for a moment. He looked around once again, then shook his head and sighed. he was going to have to get used to the lack of privacy it seemed. Still, the price was worth it in favor of what he was getting in return.. Lolth had no greater enemy at the time and what better way to see that House Rhylinndar did not advance into the city of Au Shinduago. Closing his eyes for a moment, he prays silently..~Hear me Kiaransalee.. I do your work. Know that through my house.. your foe will be reduced in power. I have many plans in motion, but I need alliances with the other Qu'ellar to cement this city's forces. Apart we face the spider kissers alone.. together they stand not a chance against us.~ ..His ruby eyes opened and he stood, returning to the pages of his book as he hunted for answers to a question he'd been pondering-

The Death Goddess didn't reply immediatly. She left Val'atar to his thoughts. After awhile she replied. Derahel. Her voice came in a whisper.
