This thread is to post all the interesting, insulting, funny etc. comments you have gotten about your own art work or work you have commissioned. Share and discuss these amusing or odd comments with the rest of us here!
You can differentiate who is speaking with different symbols, indention, colors or whatever you can cook up as long as it is clear to the rest of us!
Something like this..
Person A: comment
Person B: responce
Or this..
"comment with no responses."
is more than fine!
Please follow the usual rules, tos, guild rules and common sense when posting and commenting! You can state where the comment was originally posted, link to it, or not tell us. Whatever you prefer. It is not necessary to disclose the person's name or alias when posting, please use discretion so this stays light and fun.

I'll post something to kick it off. ;3
This was a comment on a recent commission of my elven princess oc that was posted on the artist's DA.
Commenter: oh she is so beutiful heart heart i want to take her home now and put her in my garden and see what happns.......:3
Artist: in the garden?
Commenter: don't question me :3....and well she is an elf
OH! And there was a really silly, semi-insulting comment I got from a rl friend of mine when I showed her a painting I am working on. It is a painting of our family's dog when he was a little puppy. Basically, when I showed it to her all I had down so far was the basic under painting. What baffles me is I told her it was a wip and I only have the first layer down before I showed her.
Her comments were not useful, and somewhat insulting. Instead of giving me advice on how to push it further in the next steps she was critiquing it like it was all I was going to do with it. Something along the lines of, 'Well, it is a nice style if your not going for realism."
And I was like "... its just the under painting" o_O
And then she was defending it as it was, saying she liked that sort of style that I had going on.. *head desk* I think she was trying to make me feel better about her saying it wasn't realism. Point is, if its a wip, give useful, technical critique about it, don't make weird assumptions when its at a beginning point. D=

It weirds me out a little that people always comment Ilmryn pictures on dA to say "oh he's so dreamy." I mean, I get it, the whole anime artist draws-everything-sexy deal, but Ilmryn is just ... hahah. He's supposed to be a smidge repulsive, both physically and in personality.

Anetra_Pendragon It weirds me out a little that people always comment Ilmryn pictures on dA to say "oh he's so dreamy." I mean, I get it, the whole anime artist draws-everything-sexy deal, but Ilmryn is just ... hahah. He's supposed to be a smidge repulsive, both physically and in personality. That is interesting! Are the artists drawing him to look very attractive and not capturing his repulsive aspect at all? Also, maybe if its only a smidgen some people might be into that sort of thing. dramallama But that is a bit of a weird fetish. x3

Oh! Another thread idea has been tickling my mind.
I know there is the 'wanted:___' thread. But it really seems to pertain to specifics that your looking for and locating artists and shops on gaia in particular.
But, I was thinking it would be cool to have a general place, besides 'this just in' to talk about artists who are taking commissions on and off gaia that we think are worth a look or have nice deals. I mean, that is a nice way to find someone now and then, but there are so many artists I watch that are like, omg hire mee! ;c; and I just don't have the ability to do them all. xD
Maybe it could be called something like "Pimp that artist!" or something. x3
If y'all think its a good idea I can run it by Rae. dramallama
