will there be a sequel? I didn't hear anything about it...and i couldn't really tell if the ending hinted that...
my guess is that there won't be ...but i'm not sure

I read somewhere that Stephenie's considering making a series out of The Host, so... maybe. xP

the host is one book of out threee stephenie is making the series a trilogy so theres gonna be two more books after the host : )

Yeah..I heard it's going to be a trilogy. But I can't think of anything the next two books could possibly be about. The first book was already so long and dragged out..

well some are saying its better than twilight, and i started reading wondering " wow what could make this better!!" and i had to force myself
through the first chapter, i know, just keep reading it gets better, but i just
cant get myself into it.. wel ill try again later. the way the ratings are going
it could be better getting into the series : )

In the end of The Host, they left an cliffhanger. So she must be starting an sequel.

Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.KiraLight Yeah..I heard it's going to be a trilogy. But I can't think of anything the next two books could possibly be about. The first book was already so long and dragged out..
I kinda want it to be about the guy-soul from the fire planet! (what was his name? question ) He seemed pretty awesome. It might be the fact that his body's a tall red-head, but I have the feeling he'd be fun.
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling- my darling- my life and my bride,
In her tomb by the sounding sea.

Like the ending of so many other books and what-not, The Host has the ability to continue on for a while. The problem? I liked the ending to much. If they continue it would be all "overthrow-the-aliens-and-bring-peace-to-earth" crap. That's not good. So I think it should just end

I liked the first book and remeber at the end they found the other colonies of humans. it could be about that.
