I know one of the "recommendations" of supporting lolita fashion for yourself is good hygiene, and that maybe a good portion of the Society has some experience with this. I'm not saying a don't take good care of my face, but what do you recommend I use/do for any major or the like acne problem shows up?

Skin trouble is always a hard problem to solve-- especially since everyone has different types of skin and acne can be caused by many different things (it can be caused by stress, general oily skin, allergies, hormones, etc).
I have pretty horrid luck with acne, both on my face and across my shoulders. I use Neutrogena acne daily facial scrub twice a day-- when I wake up and before I go to bed, and I use a Neutrogena acne body wash over my back/shoulders before my regular body wash. That alone helped SO much, especially for my face. In between my morning and night face washings, I'd often use the acne face pads (Oxipads, Neutrogena, any of them work, really) if my face felt like it was getting too oily. Since the my shoulders continued to be rather troublesome, I eventually went to a dermatologist. The best things that I have ever used is Differin gel every other night to nightly for my face, and Clindamycin pads daily to twice daily for face and body-- on top of washing my face twice a day with the Neutrogena face scrub. I've had almost no problems since, and unlike experimenting with regular store bought treatments, my doctor was able to find and give me something that worked without drying out my skin or irritating my allergies.
I would say that you experiment a bit. I've really been happy with Neutrogena products, especially the daily facial scrub. If you still have trouble, there's no shame in going to a doctor about it.

Acne is something you really should talk to a doctor about. It has many causes and isn't a hygiene problem most of the time, unfortunately. Zits are not caused by dirty skin so much as bacteria in the pores that create infections. Dirt and the like can contribute to this by giving them a good environment to thrive, but even a clean face can suffer from painful acne [trust me, subcutaneous break outs are a b***h].
Certain cleansers and products [Neutrogena being a good place to start] help immensely, but sometimes not even washing your face can cure those break outs. If you're having issues keeping your face clear even though you wash your face regularly and thoroughly, you really should see a dermatologist to see if there's some other underlying problem.
[edit]: Cryrin said everything I would have liked to, but much more effectively. (:

I have this obsessive compulsive thing where every time I'm alone with a mirror in the vicinity I squeeze out like each and every one of my pores. So I don't get zits almost at all. I kill them before they get big enough to notice. o3o I know I have issues, but it works. xD;

-C'est la lune qui conduit la danse...- Well, I have a perfectly clear face. But when I do happen to have that occasional pimple or breakout, I use this sulfur ointment cream that kills the pimple QUICK. I mean that motha-sucka is GONE overnight if I put it on early enough. xD This is what I use: http://pupe.jp/item/9osylsh3mt5w/I'm guessing whoever makes it is a really small brand, so they might not be near you, but you should definitely check out to see if you can get sulfur ointment cream or even sulfur face soap. I recommend putting it on at night though, because they stuff can dry your skin out (specifically the soap), and the cream is really moist so you'll feel it on your face even when it's not visible. Also, putting an excessive amount of cream on in a short period of time will kind of cause your pores to damage itself. x_x One time it did that, and one of my pores was OPEN. I mean, you can see it dead on my face. And it was like that for a while. Eventually it went back to normal though. -...quand le soleil sera couché dans ton âme froide.-

Thanks so much, everyone, I'll try to remember everything! Next time I go shopping, I will definitely keep an eye out for sulfur ointment cream, and on the Internet, too. If Amani's and Cryin's suggestions don't work, I'll consider going to a dermatologist. Time for everything to work is most important, though.

I've got horrid acne, but it's been clearing steadily over the past two months due to a combination of things, firstly, if you drink a lot of milk, I'd cut back. The hormones in milk contribute to acne. I've cut back on milk and it's helped loads! I also ordered ProActive Solution, and it's a miracle worker! My face started clearing up really quickly when I started using ProActive, so I really recommend it. 3nodding

i have horrible skin its really oily but dry.. weird but i use proactive and it really does work. my skin has cleared up so much and also if your face is really oily use oil blot sheets to soak up the oil instead of putting more powder on b/c that will just clog your pores even more. i used to use an aveeno foam in the morning with clean and clear oil free moisturizer and at night wash with the saint Ive's apricot scrub but the one for sensitive skin so not to dry out my skin to much then the moisturizer again. that started working well to. just use non oil based products and that should help a bunch. and if you cant find anything that is working for you then just go see a dermatologist they can give you medications that will work as well

My two cents, something that I have discovered works disturbingly well--
There are two main methods of cooking rice. One of them leaves slightly milky water behind when the rice is done. Do that, and put the water in a bottle or something. Wash your face in it, morning and night, then put on face lotion (of whatever sort you like). Works wonders.
I know it sounds icky, but believe me, it's really good for you. Rice is full of B vitamins, which are the main thing that helps your face clear, but they tend to get boiled out during cooking. They stick in the water, though, so you wash your face in that and you get them right there.
(It's late, and my syntax is suffering, but I hope you get my drift.)

I get breakouts on the back of my arms (and my face, of course) ;3; but I can't do much about it because I have a sort of phobia of facial scrubs--weird, I know. I know they're supposed to help, but I just can't do it. XP Any suggestions on what I could do?

You know that little brown bottle your mom keeps up in the cupboard? 2HO? Hydrogen Peroxide. I find that it works absolute WONDERS. Here's how:
Boil some water and once it's boiling, put it in a little basin on the floor. Kneel over the basin for 10 minutes with a towel over your head, catching the steam. Be close to it, but not so close that the steam hurts you. This will open up your pores, ready for some deep cleansing. Now, take your Hydrogen Peroxide and put some on a facecloth. Apply it to your face. You'll feel a stinging sensation, but sit through it, it's cleaning out any infection you may have - yes, including zits. Leave it on overnight. Then in the morning wash your face, and you'll find it signifigantly cleared up. It ALWAYS works for me. razz But just be careful that you don't do it so much that it dries up your face x.x
You can also apply some toothpaste to your problem areas and that will clear it up overnight. Just make sure you don't sleep on your face. XD
