Attentive. Inquisitive. Reizei is extremely interesting personality-wise. As emperor he is ever-responsible, refined, and attentive. Along with all of these things, he is also a very inquisitive type. This makes him rather talkative sometimes, because the emperor is utterly curious. It is perhaps the most amusing part of his personality. He is slow to anger, but will exercise a strong authority when he feels the need. History: Reizei was born to the empress and was named Heir Apparent soon after. At the age of sixteen he was inaugurated as emperor when his father mytseriously died. He has been the imperial figurehead of Japan ever since and is both admired and hated by his subjects. Likes: ● sweet foods ● discussions ● being emperor ● being in disguise Dislikes: ● the growing influence of the shogun ● political problems ● being closed off from the world Role Play Color: #660000

Sachiko-san ● I met Sachiko-san around the same time as Shizuka-san in the performance hall. She's a little maid who denies having much to say, which is tragic.

Artist ● Rob Thomas
Let it go, Let it roll right off your shoulder Don't you know The hardest part is over Let it in, Let your clarity define you In the end We will only just remember how it feels
Our lives are made In these small hours These little wonders, These twists & turns of fate Time falls away, But these small hours, These small hours still remain
Let it slide, Let your troubles fall behind you Let it shine Until you feel it all around you And i don't mind If it's me you need to turn to We'll get by, It's the heart that really matters in the end
Our lives are made In these small hours These little wonders, These twists & turns of fate Time falls away, But these small hours, These small hours still remain
All of my regret Will wash away some how But i can not forget The way i feel right now
In these small hours These little wonders These twists & turns of fate These twists & turns of fate Time falls away but these small hours These small hours, still remain, Still remain These little wonders These twists & turns of fate Time falls away But these small hours These little wonders still remain

Introduction ● Navigation ● His Majesty ● Artwork ● Acquaintances ● Personal Items ● Role Play ● Lyrics ● Credits ● Journal Dear Journal,
Lately, I have been going out. And this is not the usual 'going out' of an emperor, flanked by attendants, servants, and those who merely watch you. No, I have been taking Mikado-san's name as of late as well as wearing the normal casual clothing of a mid-ranked noble. I am aware that I distress my attendants by doing this, but it is something I have made perfectly clear to them. If I want to go out on my own I will. I am the emperor, after all.
Hopefully they don't view this as me abusing my power, but there is no helping it. I truly enjoy these small escapades, although sometimes they will grow panicked and call for me, just like when I was in the gardens today. I had just made a few pleasant acquaintances when I heard Mikado-san himself calling for me. It is such a nuisance to leave right in the middle of a conversation, too.
I understand I shouldn't be annoyed with them for practically locking me up, but I like going out like I do. As emperor, I find I am much too flattered. I can't talk to someone normally, really, other than my women. But as I have yet to name an heir apparent, even they vye for my attention. This is frustrating to say the least. I do not complain of my role, but the boredom and exhaustion it can bring are sickening.
I feel I would be utterly bitter if I could not escape it for at least a small while.

Introduction ● Navigation ● His Majesty ● Artwork ● Acquaintances ● Personal Items ● Role Play ● Lyrics ● Credits ● Journal Dear Journal,
Who knew I could have so much fun in disguise? I have just made a visit the the performance hall and there I watched the Shirabyoshi dance for quite some time. It was pleasant to do so in an atmosphere in which I wasn't being closely watched and monitered by absolutely everyone there. It was a pleasant way to spend my evening, although Mikado-san was absolutely furious when I returned.
After the performance, one of the women even chose to speak with me. A Shirabyoshi by the name of Shizuka-gozen. She seemed very skittish, really, but it was fun to have conversation with a woman who did not mind looking at me. Amusing, really, but much of the time Shizuka-san appeared to take it very badly. I think she must be a very proud woman indeed, but who am I to judge? Perhaps I wasn't being as pleasant as I could have been, but I'm not all too sure.
And yet I did enjoy her presence. Shizuka-san is an intelligent woman, I am sure. Maybe it was because of this that I found her so incomprehensible. Then again, there could be a myriad of other reasons for this confusion.
I did meet one other person before I fled, however. A certain maid by the name of Sachiko-san... Alas, we did not get much time to talk and she denied having anything of interest to speak of as well, which was indeed irking. I'm sure she could have told me quite a few interesting things if she'd really chosen to spoke. Still, I suppose just because I disguise myself as a normal noble does not mean that the respect of a maid differs too terribly much.
If they only knew.

I met the most charming little girl today and her name is Atsuko-chan! She is ever so adorable, I just love her to pieces! Then again, I do suppose I should explain how I came across the little cutie, shouldn't I? She came to me, of course, as my attendants were deeply sick and tired of tracking me around the court and I decided to give them at least a small break.
So there I was, sitting on a rather large slab of stone in the garden, sort of pondering, I suppose, when she walked in from the path that wends to the garden to connect it to the West Wing. She was afraid of course, but I made her come over to me. Certainly, it must have been just a little odd, but I took an immediate liking to Atsuko-chan. She's much too cute for her own good, really, but sometimes she does get so dirty! Mikado-san was horrified at how filthy she was, but we soon got her a nice bath.
After her bath I had her dressed in a kimono brought from the stores for her as a gift. She was lovely, and I did really want to stay with my new younger sibling, but Mikado-san soon dragged me away for an audience in court. Needless to say, I nearly fell asleep having to listen to everyone take turns speaking to me, trying to win brownie points. At that point I'm not so sure I cared; there seems to be bad, bad, and more bad occuring with the slow rise of the Shoguns and the samurai appear to be supporting them.
Besides that, I was preoccupied with my new Imouto-chan and Mikado-san has made it clear that her presence is no longer welcome in the west wing, although he is hardly in charge. I'm the emperor and I'll decide who I want to see.

I'd been trying to send Atsuko-chan many notes and small gifts, but today I found out that she only received one; the lantern I gifted to her early on. I have a feeling Mikado-san has been intercepting my contact with my Imouto-chan, but I haven't had very much time to go out and fix this problem myself as the court could be described as in a state of turmoil right this minute. The winds appear to be rapidly changing their course at this point, as they have been for a while. That was why the shirabyoshi first appeared, you know. To save themselves in this crumbling world.
In any case, I should move away from the absolutely bleak subjects and explain how I came to see Atsuko-chan yet again. Mikado-san finally brought her, although I could not name his motives. She was filthy and I have to admit I did not properly recognize her. Mikado-san was insisting there was a rat in my apartments, clearly trying to amuse or something of the sort, and I finally recognized Atsuko when she spoke.
She'd wanted to know why I hadn't kept in contact, but I didn't really have much time to actually explain. I had many more audiences in the day and I was altogether busy. In the end Atsuko-chan left without even a bath, although I commanded Mikado-san to let her go around my apartments and pick something she thought was pretty; whatever she wanted. I do hope my Imouto-chan chose something nice and I also hope I will be able to see her much more in the coming weeks.
It would soothe me, I do think, if I could see more of her.
