 Grass tickled Vulcan's cheek as he lay stretched out in the grass. The warm sun beating against his back. He inhaled the scent of the world around him and sighed in happiness. To him this could truly be Heaven, j just one thing missing. His eyes lazily traveled over the area, looking for any sign of his Dear Heart.

(putting an uncert of her image so that it won't change when she grows)
Maiya was curled up, taking her afternoon nap underneath the large oak trees. Her ear slowly flicked up as she awoke, and she blinked once or twice before giving out a long yawn. She closed her eyes as she stretched her arms, clenching her fingers together and bringing them over her head. A small annoyance played at the back of her mind, and she would have probably listened to it if not for her drowsiness.

Vulcan's ears flicked in the direction of the yawn. A lazy smile appeared on his face, he's recognize that yawn anywhere. A yawn of his own escaped as he stretched. He lazily climbed to his feet and trudged in the direction that the yawn came from.

Maiya set her arms down as she began to think more clearly. Her eyes traveled over her body, it didn't seem like it was her own. Where her paws used to be were these bony, she didn't even know what to call them. Here face grew white as she saw her legs, much like her arms, and what was covering her fur? Wait... what happened to her fur in the first place? This was skin... Skin!

"Mai-" Cuts off when he spots Maiya. He blinks in surprise, his mind trying to grasp what he was seeing. His mouth opened, but nothing came out. Maybe I'm still asleep? He reached up and pinched himself. Nope, it hurt. So not a dream.

Maiya was grabbing at the clothes when she saw Vulcan staring at her. She felt terrible about letting him see her like this, she had only just learned of it herself. "I....I...," she stuttered as she felt her cheeks grow warn and her ears dropped behind her head. Her bottom lip quivered in a way a child's would if they were being scolded, and small tears were forming at the edges of her eyes.

Guilt washed over Vulcan in waves when tears began to form in his Dear Heart's eyes. It snapped him back to reality and he rushed over to comfort her. "No no, don't cry Dear Heart. I'm sorry, I was just surprised."

She wiped the tears from her eyes in a very childish manor, and looked at him with her large blue eyes. "Are you sure Vuvu? You're not mad at me, are you?" she questioned, her voice much higher in pitch than normal, much like it had been when she was but a child.

"I could never be mad at you Dear Heart." Vulcan nuzzled Maiya's cheek and then licked it.
"I'm to lazy to get mad," he joked in an attempt to get her to smile. His eyes roamed over her now child, and human, like body, trying to grasp what might have made her change.

"Really?" Maiya asked as her face lit up, and her ears stopped drooping. She then burrowed herself into Vulcan's fur, hugging him tightly. "'Sank you very much!" she hummed into his fur.

"Think nothing of it Dear Heart." Vulcan smiled and slipped a paw into Maiya's newly grown hair. He was tempted to burrow his face into the air to see if it felt as silky as it looked. I feel like a dirty old man...

Maiya flinched as she felt Vulcan's paw in her hair. She cautiously raised her hands to it herself, rubbing against it and her scalp as if to confirm its presence. "I have hair...?" she bluntly said to herself ad she stopped moving her arms around. 'How do I walk?' she thought to herself as she looked down at her folded legs.

"Hair, and a couple other new things it seems." Vulcan lightly ran his paw over one of Maiya's hands and then pointed at her feet. "You seem to have developed human like qualities Dear Heart."

"Does that mean I have to walk on two legs?" Maiya questioned as she moved her legs out from under her, and flexed her toes. She rolled over on her belly in an attempt to try and walk on her hands and feet, but her arms quickly gave out under her and she fell to the ground.
