The Eastern mountain range lies to the far east of the continent, and it is seperated by the ocean by only a thin strip of Earthen territory. This area tends to get all the rain that should be going to the fire territories, leaving it at its usual dry climate.

Emerging from a mountainous area of the fire nation, Hrothgar found himself faced with... more mountains. With a sigh and a shake of his head Hrothgar looked down. "This side of the world has way too many mountains. This is just too easy. I mean seriously? This means the only threat to us is the water nation." He let out a hearty chuckle before getting a taste of the air. It was fairly moist, almost muggy. He took a moment to sit down, crossing his legs and taking a meditative position. He listened to the earth feeling for it's senses and tuning to figure out more about the terrain.
Having sat there for a few minutes, Hrothgar stood up and looked out to the horrizon and shook his head. "Looks like there's some flat land out to the east but that's it. If I want to get back home I'll have to go back."

Without warning, Hrothgar turned and took a huge leap sailing high into the air and falling toward the base of the mountain. Obsidion followed suit, landing just a short distance behind Hrothgar. He jumped again, picking up a travel pace and heading north west toward the edge of the mountains.

Just outside a small farming village near the edge of the mountains, two cloaked men appeared. Both were riding horses, that, if anyone cared to look closely enough, would appear to be dead. This seemed to bother one of the men slightly, as he kept looking nervously about.
"Lord Emery, sir..."
"What did I tell you about saying my name? I can't let anyone know I was here."
"Y-yes, sir. But I still don't understand what exactly it is you plan to do here, sir."
Annoyed, Emery Faldain threw back his hood, revealing a disturbingly handsome face framed by orangish red hair. "What I am here to do, you idiot, is start a war, all in the name of my darling sister. I've told you this ten times already!"
"Forgive me, sir, but I don't understand. Why is it that you wish to denounce Lady Valkyrie?"
"Because, you brainless idiot, until my sister is dead, my people will never recognize me as their leader. They far prefer my virtuous sister, and would rather have her as their duchess. With her gone, I will reign supreme. Understand, numbskull?"

The other man nodded, biting his lip slightly. Personally, her was rather fond of Valkyrie, but he had been chosen to serve under Emery instead.
"Good." Emery turned, and faced the village. It was only a small village, maybe 400 people total. But completely perfect for his plans. He smiled evilly, and held out his hands. One held a single glowing red hair, plucked from his sister's head on her last visit; the other a single lit match. He dipped the hair in the flame, and said a single word. The flames flared away from him, carrying with them a trace of magic, not his own, but his older sister's. They swarmed the nearest house, overwhelming it in mere seconds, and jumped to the next one, soon catching the entire village on fire.
Emery slumped on his horse, nearly unconscious. This power that I sacrificed 100 people for, it taxes me still. If only I was able to master it more fully...
"Get us out of here, you idiot," he barked hoarsely at his servant, who obligingly grabbed the lead line on Emery's horse, and led the two of them away, back to fire country.
((Exit to fire country...somewhere))

Artemis ran out of her house. It was blazing a red and blue fire. She tried to send a blast of air to extinguish the flames, but there was something wrong with these flames. They had a magic concealing them, letting nothing interupt they're attack on the city. So instead, she sat in the streets and watched the houses burn, a hurt look plastered onto her face. There was nothing she could do. All of the years of creating an identity and all it took was one small spark from somewhere to burn it all way. She quivered in the heat. It was sinking into her, boiling her skin, making her angry. The more she sat and stared, the more she wanted revenge. She turned on her heels and began to run. She ran as far as she could, heading to the Air castle. She was going to have her revenge, even if that meant telling everyone who she really was. Realising that the trick was over, she let her wings burst from her back, pushing the wind behind her to make herself go faster. It felt good to have her wings free again, but she didn't bother to think about that. She was determined to get back at whoever did this. She may not have had much of a life there, let alone a truthful one, but it was the only one she had. And now it was falling behind her into a smoldering heap of ashes.

Mayura ascended the hills, comming to a stop on a mountain overlooking a town. She felt a chill seeing that the town was burnt to cinders. There was no smoke, or lingering flames, just the scorched, wind blasted, dry terrain on an otherwise temperate mountain area. "I had no idea that war had already begun."
With the moment passed, she started down the other side of the mountain, continuing west.

Kujaku threw himself up to the top of a ledge. The grass he could feel at first with his hand then now underfoot was of a different kind, a more temperate variety. It was clear that he had reached the tundra like slopes of the eastern mountain range. They weren't in Earth territory anymore. The cooler air was clear evidence of that. Kujaku turned to face the ledge and glanced down to see How far off Hrothgar and his golem were. They didn't seem to trail behind.

Hrothgar tossed himself up the ledge with a solid jump. Having miscalculated the landing, he took a roll forward coming to a crouch before standing. He stood up and stretched his arms out, feeling a faint breeze in the mountain air. "Well now, we're finally here." He took a moment to work some kinks out of his neck and crack his knuckles as he waited for Obsidion to catch up. "Wonder what kinda wild things live up here?"
Obsidion emerged from a bare patch of land a few yards away, facing in toward the mountain area. It tilted its head to look back and spot Hrothgar and Kujaku by the cliff edge. It marched quietly up and waited.

"Mostly winged creatures up here." Kujaku grunted in response. He'd been to the mountains before but it wasn't exactly his specialty. It was enough to give him some insight. "Some goats, yeti, and frost trolls too." After a moment to get a good look around the mountain terrain and sky, Kujaku pointed. He was rather certain of direction but since this was more of a wandering trip it didn't matter. He pointed to the west and started marching off.

Hrothgar gave a shrug and began following after Kujaku leaving Obsidion to bring up the back of the line. He could tell Kujaku was probably still pissed about the humans scrambling off without a fight to the bitter end, but the trip was just beginning. Hrothgar fixed his gaze to the skies above. There they were just as empty as down in the old fields of earth territory.

Kujaku Could grin and bear it traveling through the foothills. He wasn't a fan of the mountain air and the scenery wasn't interesting enough to get his interest. To top it off, his bare feet began to ache in revolt against the rough terrain. The quiet was unsettling. Kujaku knew this sort of impatience wasn't like him but he was out for blood. The silence was broken by a vicious howl from Kujaku's lungs as he reared back and cried to the skies above.

The shadow of a great winged beast passed over head. In response to the irate call of Kujaku below, the beast dove down swooping overhead. The monster had a long tail with a stinger, large scaly dragon wings, and long talons. Its head had a fanned projection along the back, and a hooked snout much like an eagle's. It let out a cry in response similar to the roar of a crocodile before swooping up into the air. It made no effort to hide its intent. It was going to dive down and attack the beast that called into its skies so callously.

((A Wyvern eh?))
Kujaku took a step to duck cautiously when seeing the creature first dive down. It looked rather like a drake, which wasn't a surprise in the mountains. Kujaku took his axe from his harness, gripping it in anticipation and striking the base of the haft into the rocky ground. He pulled his dragon skull mask down over his face and glared at the creature through the mask's empty eye sockets, daring the beast to dive down again. "This time! This one, mine!" He called out in warning to Hrothgar without taking his eyes off his prize.
