The task was complete, she had waited for Adolfo to be with Vianna on the beach, waited for Twist and Wazaam to take a stroll together, this was her moment. She could save them, or even just one, she would save one! Twist's evil was spreading at an alarming rate, but the innocent pups might still be saved. Alas slipped into the den and grabbed the large female, she was gone and Tempeste, so small and unaware was soon within the Akiiki Chibale pack den.
Alas returned and dove into the seawater before tracking up to the cliff and back into the den. Now...now what would she do? What would she say? She looked down and guilt consumed her, but this was for the best, a pup was innocent and deserved a chance at a better life. No pack could be more tender, loving, and accepting of it's family members then Crunch's and she would raise Tempeste with adoration and calm.
A tear rolled from her eye, she knew what she would tell the parents...and someday perhaps she could tell the truth.

Somehow she should have been surprised that the mellowdramtic Alas was pooring out seawater from her eyes. Probally because some poor butterfly died someplace on her walk with unicorns. Heh. She'd have no sympathy for her; why should she? Alas was probally the biggest thorn in her side and she really couldn't care less if she rolled over and died tommorrow. But she supposed she should humor her. At least so she might move out of the way. She'd prefer to be left alone with Wazaam then get another sob story about how she was a terrible mother.
She paced up a few steps away from Wazzam and troted over to Alas. Looking her up and down she suspected 'somthing' but she couldn't put her paw on it one bit. "So I see you've been babysitting the puppies as of late Alas. You'd make a good mother if you had your own litter." But each word was wrapped in it's own amount of distain and hatred for the other. She didn't like leaving her kin with the fluffball but she seamed to be a natural the way she skipped threw the flowers.
"And why might I ask are you crying like that? Did the twins bite you again?" She laughed slightly at that knowing how volitie both of the twins were to anyone they didn't like- expecially Alas.

Alas looked at Twist sadly, how could she bring the words to her lips. She looked down and inhaled slowly her fur still wet. "Twist...they, she..." The pink female looked up at Twist before glancing to the den, there was one pup less now.
"Tempeste...she rolled...and...the den is so close to the cliff..." Alas took a ragged breath and looked down over the edge of the cliff. "She...she fell...I tried to save her, I went in the water but..." Alas shook her head and looked at Twist, she was so sorry, so very sorry.
She knew Twist was bad, but no mother deserved to have to hear such news, such terrible news, the only comfort Alas had was that it was for the best. She dreaded Wazaam turning the corner, he loved his mate, his pups, how would he react to this.

As first the wolfess just couldn't believe it. Alas the person whom she thought was the safest one here...let one of her puppies die? Her stone cold eyes glaring deep into the others soul. She couldn't really believe this story one bit. Alas had a track record. Reuniting Shelby and Rally- oh yes she knew about this one. She wasn't quite mad since they two were quite annoying. Shelby with her incoherent speach; and Rally with her nonsenical whining. Then there were her coverup when she went to both packs.
She was assuming the same thing was happening with Tempeste as well. But she would play it cool if she shot the gun before Alas announced it- she would look the fool; expecially if anyone did find her daughter's body. And if she did steal her and she was in Crunch's pack...she would be able to wadge war and look like a hero. She'd have to choose her next words carefully.
"Off a cliff?!" She turned with upmost shock and change of emotion. Then turned back to Wazaam and with a wimper turned from him to Alas. "Our daughter Tempeste fell off a cliff- all while Alas was watching them." She then paused and looked towards Alas with a mocking tone in her solom voice. "And you told us we could trust you! You told us to give you one more try...but our daughter! We should have never gone on that walk."
Bingo. Alas had to fess up sooner or later- there is no way that anything puplike would ever die under her watch. It just wasn't like her to be unintentful- sneaky on the other hand. She'd expect that.

The day had been lovely so far..The grass was growing greener than ever, and the sky was a radiant shade of blue, while the sun was the beacon.
His pelt blew with the drifting wind, and he had thought his day would be as good as it seemed to be. He'd had a stroll with Twist, and came home to find Alas waiting there.. Strike one for his day.. Then the sky had started to grow grey and cloudy, and the sun was almost gone altogether. Strike two.
The news of his daughters death came as a crushing blow to the younger father. His thoughts were unhealthy and he dreamed of nothing mroe than attacking Alas for slander. No way his child was dead..No way.. And if Tempeste had died..then Alas was at fault.
His eyes went from gentle to Twist, to cold to Alas. "You let my daughter die? Did you get any pleasure out of it?" He snapped, spittle flying from his maw.
Alas had been treading a fine line between enemy and friend lately..But she seemed to have chosen a side.. She had come hto him before, and he thought to trust her in her choices..She was the healer after all..But Alas had just violated every bit of trust that had been growing and lingering from before. 'Ill bet she killed her on purpose.Pushed the pup right off the cliff to spite us..To spite our pack. She cannot be trusted.'
His eyes were hard and cold. No compassion would be found for the death of his daughter, and he saw Twist was the onegoingthrough all the heartbreak.
"You would dare to break this pack up..To kill my little girl..You..Witch!" He yelled the last word like an accusation. But he was not making accusations..Surely the one who had killed his daughter was a witch.

Alas looked at Twist and Wazzam shocked before moving to defend herself despite the parents pain they had no right to throw such words at her. Even more disgusting was the slimy cool facade that Twist had on, as if her daughters death mattered little, only slandering her name further. Her eyes turned hard on the mother.
"I told you I couldn't come right away Twist, you and Wazzam left too early, I saw her...she went over just as I was coming up the cliff, and I tried. I tried to save her, but...she...she was so small...the waves so large." She rounded on Wazzam anger in her eyes.
"How dare you think I would kill any pup, any innocent, EVER! I have tended your wounds and given my compassion to all in the pack who needed it. Everyone knows that I am the very last of us who would EVER let a pup die if it could be stopped. What nature hath wrought I cannot undo, I have no power to stop death Wazaam do not let your grief turn your tongue to foolishness." She looked at the two her eyes a cold blue, she wanted to console the parents but they made it so very hard. Even now she could see that Twist would not feel this loss, not while she had her terror twins to train. She did feel badly for Wazaam, but his words stung. The poor brainwashed fool... She sighed deeply and looked down still ready however to defend herself.
"I am sorry...if only you had waited...just a few moments longer and I might have been there..."

Twist in reality did feel for her pup; but she was smart enough to know that Tempeste was not dead and that Alas was a very poor liar. The guilt though how much she tried to hide it shown threw like the orbs of a lighthouse threw a deep dark night. "No you won't have been there. You'd probally be sneaking back and forth to Crunch's pack during that moment. I don't have much faith in any of your words Libenalas. You've lied to me before why would this be any different?"
She raised her brow darkly and went over taking a tall stand next to her mate Wazaam. In all sarcasm she spit out her next choice words. "Hell knowing you, you probally stole our daughter and took her to YOUR pack." Again her eyes narrowed hitting Alas's intentions spot on. "Though if she did die under your watch- and you are telling the truth; there will be HELL to pay. I don't care if you did get there too late..."
Turning her head she nuzzled Wazaam out of compassion. What if her daughter really had died? Yes it was expected in a big litter- but Twist didn't know how to deal with it other then threw dark rage. Again she hid back her emotions and just growled at the fluffball infront of her. She would have to find Adolfo later and have him channel the Shadows. If her daughter really had been killed then he would probally be the first to know.

Wazaam knew his words were cruel, and in his mind even as he spoke them, he wished he hadn't had crossed that line. He wasnt merciless..He understood mistakes.
His emerald eyes gleamed, and it could almost be a tear, had he actually been able to cry..
"Twist..Thats enough.." He said, speaking to her of the accusation. He didnt believe Alas could be so cruel hearted as to fake his daughters death..Not at all..For that was worse than Tempeste actually meeting her fate..At least she had made one with the earth..instead of being raised by the pink wolf..
His eyes turned blankly to Alas, though his blank stare was almost intimidating.
"Alas..I swear to you..If I ever find out you lied to me..." He said, his voice a rough, defeated sound, though the growl behind the words was clear as day. "I will kill you..Healer or no healer..Pack or no pack..If I find you had something todo with my daughter dissappearing.. You shall meet a painful death." His words were not just words, they were a promise to her.. Alas could maintain her innocence.. But if he found her guilty, he'd have her head.
He looked at his mate, nuzzling her slightly. As he pulled away, he walked past Alas, a look in his eyes bearing deep into hers. He walked to the edge of the cliff, lying down, and staring blankly out at the ocean.
His daughter was in there.. Hisdaughter was dead..

She bit her tounge slightly agnologing her mate, but it still didn't stop her from glaring at Alas with all the hatred and disrespect in the world. She just wanted some hope that this wasn't true. That Tempeste really was alieve. So in her mind if she blamed Alas it would help her cope with the loss better then to come out and openly admit it bothered her. She wasn't really one for showing herself emotionally- nor she she want to start doing that...for she felt it just made a person weak.
-but it was her daughter.
And for a few seconds she let a few seconds of grief slip out of her eyes. Only for those few seconds would anybody think she had a heart. As quickly as she had shown the emotion was as quickly as she barred it up. She looked towards Wazaam and with a non-verbal communication she agreed with his every statement. She would rip the beast to shreads with her own body if she did find out that her worst fears would be true. Then she would rip threw Crunches pack, and any wolf that stood between her and her daughter. Oh by god if the b***h lied there would be hell to pay.
And she looked over at Alas with her cold pupiless eyes and shot her the darkest look possible. "Get off my cliff..." Then quickly went racing past her not caring if she pushed her and caused her to tumble into the abyss. Alls she wanted to do was make she her other puppies were okie and that Alas hadn't violated any of them.

Alas took a deep breath and moved passed Twist, it was done now and she could not bring the words to undo it. At least she knew in her heart that she had done the right thing. She felt terrible for Wazaam, he was a true loving father, but for Twist, she knew that the female felt something but it was so buried beneath her wickedness. Now she knew one was saved for certain, perhaps someday she would be able to tell them the truth, to show them the good she had brought to the dark pack.
She hoped that Wazaam at least could forgive her if it wasn't too late for him. He was a pawn, like so many others. She swore that Tempeste would be no one's pawn, that pup would stand for herself and know that she was loved and in a pack that was strong without having to rend family ties apart. The pups inside the cave were safe and sound, just one less in number.
"I'm so sorry for your loss Wazaam...I wish...I could have saved her..." Some other way, but you'll forgive me someday, when you open your eyes to the truth. She moved away slowly leaving the parents and their children, she already knew their fate was decided by the dark stain on the pack. They would all be torn apart, and maybe then Twist would feel the grief of a lonely mother.
