Diego had been in a really good mood for much of today. His pack was finally offical and he and his mate were really Alphas. So much joy came to the Alpha that he was nearly bounding threw the waterfalls of his homeland as if he was a little puppy. "What a wonderful day it is." He smiled even wider padding under one of the heavier flows of water. After standing under for nearly ten minutes or so his fur began to smell and his skin became all wrinkly.
He lept out onto the shore and shook himself off then began to preen. An alpha had to look his best no? Once his ritualistic preening was over he began to scout the lands for other lost souls. Maybe he would get luckey and find someone in dire need. He hoped so, he loved helping others.

Ieshia wandered through the woods, her insides churning in anger and frustration. A red cut lay under her muzzle, making it rather uncomfortable to swallow and chew. Her side was also extremely bruised, though you couldn't really tell through her back and gold fur. White ears flickered back as she let out a breath through her mouth. Never had she been so furious.
However, she was aware that anger would get her no where. She needed to plan. She would bring down her sister if it was the last thing she did...which it very well might be. Did she fear death...or letting someone as horrible as Ieshia live? She wasn't sure...she could have kept fighting before, but she fled...so where was it that she stood?

The rainbow wolf had almost finished making his rounds when he detected the feintest smell of blood. "Thats odd..." He mused. It didn't smell like anyone from his own pack. He had to inspect this new sent. It was his duty as protecter of the pack to know everyone who came around it. He prance forward as brillantly as he could flashing about his golden green mane. If this was a wolf he sure wanted to make a good first impression. That was what an Alpha did...He chuckled inwardly- maybe he was taking his new position a bit to seriously.

Starla licked her maw absently, as though it would help with the small ache in her head. She stopped suddenly as she caught the scent of another wolf. It was neither Ieshia nor her friend...just another stranger. Her white tail flickered to the side absently. Just what she wanted to deal with...company. It'd probably be an alpha wolf trying to kick her out or something. However, she did not fear him even with this possability. She kept going as though nothing had happened.

The male strode forth proud as a peacock, his head held doubly high as his tail. He appeared to not be a fouce to be reconed with, but was really a big softie on the inside. Putting every ounce he had into looking good and being completly full of himself he spoted one of the females. From the jest of it she had been in a nasty fight. Pushing his nose up higher until it nearly touched the sky he would play ''hero'' and help save her from whatever had been bothering her.
"Ello there miss!" He spoke much like a redneck attempting to master a classical language. "I see your hurt! Mind if I be of some service to you?" His lips parted and he flashed his pearly whites- probally as some attempt to seal the deal.

Starla's ears fell back in irratation as she caught sight of the male wolf. Great, a feather head. Oh, she really didn't want to deal with this right now. Letting her white ears pull forward again she let her expression fade into a passive bank slate. What she was feeling was none of his business, as far as she was concerned. "Unless you can magically heal things, I don't think so," Her voice was frank, but not insulting. It was simply practicle. She didn't have any real grudge toward him, so she'd treat him as she treated every wolf-indifferently.

He shook his head. "No I can't heal things-but I could offer you a safe place to heal..." He lowered his head abit seamingly annoying the other more. "It's a nice place really- nobody judges you and no matter your past your always accepted." He motioned to her scars not really caring if she had been in a fight before he accepted her. "My mate would love to try and help you too." His lips grew wider into a warm smile trying to make her feel comfortable. For that was what the other looked like she needed- comfort, not an Alpha.

Starla's ear twitched to the side in puzzlement. What was this wolf doing? He was acting very strange. She didn't truly trust his offer. After all, what wolf wouldn't care about another's past? It just didn't make sense. However, it would be nice to have a place to stay...and maybe get some meals without having to hunt and reopen her wounds. She put on the act of uncertainty, "Oh...I don't know...I don't know you very well..."

"True- you don't know me...but I don't know you...So lets solve that little problem." He wagged his tail happily. "I'm Diego- Alpha of the Lost Souls; Me and my mates mission in life is to give to those in need of a helping paw." He sounded very direct and sincere as he mentioned the last part. "And so thats what I'm offering you- if you'd like to take it that is." He stoped moving his body growing ridged almost waiting with bated breath for her reply.

Starla almost completely ignored the introduction he gave, focusing on the information. She paused to mull it over a little more. Mission in life? What a load of crap...but then, it wasn't her problem...it was their choice, not hers. Her tail flickered to the side in thought and she said carefully, "You do...realize I won't be able to do anything for a while...it might be taxing to take care of someone like me."

"Course I do! Thats why I'm letting you stay with my pack...out here all alone you have less of a chance of living. At least with us you'd always have food and a fresh supply of water." His tail wagged more as his grin grew wider. "Our pack strives to help one another- so while you can't help us...we'll help you...Although-" He added. "We do expect the same back from you when your stronger...it keeps the pack together if we all pitch in..."

Starla looked at him in a calculating fashion for a moment. He made sense...not that she'd stick around to "help out". However, she'd worry about that later. Right now, the deal sounded alright. She could work out something if things got messy. She was the clever one of the family, after all. She gave a small dip of her maw in a nod and let her ears fall back slight, "Sounds fair...so you'll have me then?"

He nodded happily. "Yes- anytime you want to join the packlands are always open...when you hear the waterfall you've come to the heart of our territory." He smirked gleefully to himself being rather proud of his good deed. He had offically helped a hurt and stray wolf into his pack. The Alpha was so cought up in his little thoughts about virtue and honer that he completly missed the look on Starlas face as she seamed to completly dislike the idea of helping out in the end.

Starla made a sharp intake of breath, takinga sudden step back. Her ears flattened against her head and the fur above her eyes drew together. Her tail bristled, pulling down almost between her legs. "W-waterfall?" she tried to control her voice, but failed horribly. Her normal mask was gone. Oh, how she hated water! Why did it have to be a waterfall?!

Diego stoped suddenly and turned to Starla. "Yes a waterfall- I hope thats not a problem for you." He paused passing the senario in his own mind. "I'm sure we, as in the pack and I could work out a sutiable place for you to heal if you don't want to be near the waterfall- although it is the safest place, not to mention thats where all the food is stockpiled." He shruged not really knowing what else to say to Starla. He himself LOVED the waterfall- he had such fond memories playing in it as a pup. And now he had River and his pack growing up by the waters edge. Diego just couldn't fathom how anyone could not like waterdalls.
