As I may or may not have told you all I've been invited with my choir to go on a nine day trip of Europe which will take me through Austria, Poland, Germany, Hungary, and a few other small countries along the way. We'll be preforming numerous songs from around the year in small concerts at many churches and in Haydn Hall to celebrate his bi-centennial! We'll also be preforming many impromptu concerts whenever we feel like it, someone is always carrying a pitch pipe. :] This trip is also during my 18th birthday.

Also, a few of your schools may be doing this also, but the Marching Band at our school has also announced a large scale trip to Disney World in Florida for the New Years Day parade! We will be marching in the parade and playing songs (uh duh) and then we will have a mock recording studio where we will work with two of the top conductors that Disney can get. They will then take what we record and put it to an animation they create which will be given to us on DVD! Talk about a souvenir. Rides and shows are also a part of the deal... just not as much! Another thing we're doing on this trip is going to Medieval Times Restaurant (which I have never been to) for a dinner. It'll be awesome, I'm not gonna lie.

Are you wondering why I'm telling you all this? Well, yes. It is to brag, but, it's also to tell you that Europe is $3370 and Disney is $900, that's $4270. I'd like to have around $250 in spending money per trip. That's $4770. That's a lot of money! My parents have decided that they aren't going to pay for me to go on both trips, let alone one. So it's all up to me. I have a job that is local and makes me 7 and hour plus bonuses and I get free food and tips. I can't get another job and I'm getting no funding other than maybe a $500 scholarship and anything I raise. This is a journal to keep track of my progress.

What I have earned: $3282.03

Which is about 68% of what I need.

I have worked around 468 hours so far.

I don't expect you guys to do anything but ask for pictures if you want to. However, my school does have a Fruit Sale that I'm willing to post up details about if anyone wants to buy some citrus fruit. The money that you spend goes directly to me for Europe if you do wish to buy. heart

I'll buy fruit from you too... mostly because I'm a caring, giving person with a heart of gold. Plus the fact that I know that since I didn't go visit you, you were left heartbroken.

I don't even really like citrus fruit... but it's for a good cause... right?

All 8th graders were supposed to go to disney world, but the class before us got our school banned for a year. I don't understand how punishing the NEXT class does anything for the first rolleyes

It pissed me off because the one time I went to disney world I was too young ot remember anything.

What pissed me off worse was that the class AFTER mine got to go to disney world.
I'm still bitter about that so anyone who says their school is going to disney world and they need money I don't help.

I mean, on the exterior I'm an a*****e about this, but on the inside I'm really just a crying emo about my missed chance for cicumstances I couldn't control. crying

Ah....I've seen pictures of where my grandma was born, which is in Bydgoszcz, Poland-has two European backgrounds- ...And it looks really nice there..

Q missed going to Disney world but I never had a middle school graduation.

I didn't fail (If that's what you were thinking) ..

The place where we were holding our banquet at was like, 'o sorry no wai'.

And we were like, ':('.

And the school was like, 'ok w/e. *passes out certificates* .. you graduated .. Yay! :D'

I don't think my Middle School had a graduation. They locked us in the gym for an hour so we could get yearbooks signed and then we left. XD
