The wind blew in a gentle, carassing, manner against the mare's sides playing with her hair the tips of which were curling this way and that and twining together in a sort of elegant knotted fashion only to work themselves out moments later. Beads jingled and jangled in the breeze a top her head while she walked under the light of the moon, which was no longer quite full but rather a bit like a half a moon.

A soft breathy sigh escaped her but it wasn't an upset or tired sigh rather a content and peaceful one. The coolness of the night, as opposed to the heat of the day, made her feel quite comfortable and the fabric about her lower half didn't stick to her with the heat. So she was quite comfortable right now and wanting to enjoy the evening while it lasted.

With that firmly in mind she did make her way through a clear are, woods on one side of her and open grounds on the other three, at least for some distance.

Spearmint danced along through the gras, cheerful and content with things as they were. He couldn't help remembering the lady he'd spent time with again, and this only made further his joy with things. Spring into summer, he loved it immensely as the world bloomed with life and beauty - it suited him much better since the world looked more like him!

Well, truly, the world had always been that way, long before he was born, but truly, the beauty of the lively seasons really suited him better. He liked to revel in the colors and vibrance of things, much like his own colors. The heat could get bad, so he prefered evening strolls or even morning. He gave a casual glance to the ngiht sky before looked back to earth and noticing he was not alone in the field. He drew up, slowing his pace as he took in the sight of the fair wings and soft colors. It was smaller, not quite the size of a foal - ah, right, a 'flutter' - no, wait, she had something on her head. Whatw as it he'd been told... oh... right, it was possible. They were not too common, and pretty special.

"Greetings, there," he called out with a helping of cheerfulness. "How are you?" He'd find out soon enough if this 'fluttercorn' would be friendly, or less then plesant, but he was prepared for either inevitability. He was in a good mood though and hoped for something more friendly then not.

While he was colored brightly like the spring and summer and enjoyed those seasons Lady Requiem was the opposite. She was colored like the winter and the stars and adored both basking in them and just looking upon the pureness of freshly fallen snow especially when basthed by the light of the moon and the stars.

Then again she had never seen a spring or summer so perhaps this was part f it and she would grow fond of both, provided it wasn't during the daytime, she had already decided she didn't like the heat.

He was right, she wasn't small like a foal but not as big as a regular she was somewhere between the size of a flutter and the size of a unicorn, she was delicate looking, her wings almost frail as she knew her mate to think them such.

Turning to the voice pale lavender eyes catching the stallion not far off and she smiled a soft gentle smile. "Good evening." A nod of her head, horn shimmering under the pale rays of the moon. "I'm well, and yourself?" Her voice was gentle, soft and wispy, she was not by any stretch of the imagination unfriendly.

He was not hallucinating then about that unicorn horn as he caught better sight of it. His dad had been a unicorn, although he was not so blessed to inherit it. He was fine with that though, and it was one less thing to worry about getting caught in trees.

"Quite well," he said, bowing his head, and then giving a toss to 'adjust' his curly mane. "My name's Spearmint. I don't beleive I've ever seen you around, but then there's plenty of people I've never met." He turned his gaze to the moon, and the stars trying to stay so bright around it. "Lovely evening isn't it?"

While some might take that as some kind of attempt to hit on, it was an honest question. Aside, his heart was still aflutter for someone else, and he hoped she didn't mistake his attempts at conversation. He wasn't exactly the best at such things, but he did like talking to people, particularly those who might enjoy something he did, however temporary those times may be - be it a sunset, the twilight, a passing rain, or whatever.

"A lovely name, and I'm glad to hear you are well." She spoke softly while she watched him toss his head and smiled a bit. His hair was very curly, unlike her straight hair. That was one thing she'd never had happen...her horn being caught in something, though her wings were another story.

"Yes, it is a lovely evening, breath taking though the last full moon was even more stunning." She spoke in a soft voice nodding her head a few times. "Oh...and I'm well new, well sort of." She said stumbling a bit over her words and flushing as she did so. "I also don't go out a lot." She was too shy really, though she was working on that.

She didn't mix up his conversation, she figured he was simply being polite and nice and honestly curious about her and why they had not seen her around. She was just bad at talking, at least to some, and she knew that was obvious. "Umm...I forgot to give my name." Another sign she was bad at talking. "I'm Lady Requiem."

"Ah, Lady Requiem, a lovely name indeed." He nodded his head to her politely. She seemed a bit awkward with the social conversation, but being new to the area, perhaps that was why. Well, it could just be a natual tendency, too. Perhaps he could at least make her more at ease with things.

"I did appreciate the last full moon somewhat, before I feel asleep anyway," he said with a laugh. "I love the stars, but sometimes I get tired from my wanderings a bit too much to appreciate them." He gave a gesture towards his flank to the star markings there in green. "And not just because of those."

He tilted his head slightly, curious. "Sort of new? How so on that? I mean, there's not too many key plays to really know about much, aside where you want to call home, water, and finding food much."

Flushing she ducked her head for a moment wings giving a gentle flutter. It was really a combination of being new and not very social and she was shy naturally, but she normally wasn't this bad, though she had talked to so few.

Laughing softly she nodded. "I stayed awake most of that night just watching it and the stars, it was lovely, and peaceful as could be." She spoke softly. The full moon had been lovely and she had spent a good part of the day asleep so she could be up that night just to bask in it's soft glow.

Giggling softly she smiled. "I see, there lovely markings though, and I'm marked by the stars as well." She said indicating the constellation marks she bore upon her body.

"I've only seen this winter so I've been her a few months but I have not seen very much. I have not seen the spring or summer or the fall. I do not know my way around the woods well or the air at all. I do not know many other Soquili...so in that way I am new..." She replied gently. She was as new to many things as a young foal perhaps?

He chuckled a bit, and nodded. "They are gorgeous, the markings," he said. "Your colors remind me very much fo the wintertime, and the nights after the snow passes."

"The air is fairly safe, aside a few things, but there is no truly safe place in the entire world likely. Every light has it's shadows and such." He gave a bit of a shrug. "The world is as it is - but it is better to enjoy it to it's fullest."

He looked to the sky, watching a star twinkle itself contently a bit. "One could go through life if they wanted and not meet anyone in this world... but I like to meet others. I like to get other views and see how things are. It's no fun always be alone - but all the same, sometimes being alone is good. I now I have to get away from my mom and friends sometimes!"

Flushing she nodded her head. "I do, I love the winter so I'm happy to remind people of it." More then happy, and her mates opinion was quite flattering infact.

"Yes, you are right. I do plan to start enjoying it as much as I can and I do not know the airs well at all, I know them less then I do these woods." She spoke motioning to the woods not far off.

"Mmm...a life alone would be dreadful...to be truly alone would be sad. I don't think I could live my life alone without ever meeting another or speaking a word to another being." She had to admit she may not know many people but she was happy to meet them, it was very nice, and her teepee mate was very nice, both of them, and her little ferret who was likely off ferreting berries or something off the ground.

"So what do you like to do during the day?" As opposed to what he was doing now at night.

He nodded, listening, and then gave thought to the question presented. "Well, I tend to roam a lot, and explore things to see if I can find anything interesting - and perhaps meet people." He flicked his tail a bit, thinking more. "I suppose ina way it's a quest to meet others, as I'm always interested in how others behave and percieve things and such. Plus, you never know when you could make a friend."

He looked towards the sky, watching a shooting star suddenly streak across the sky. "And I suppose, I do want to find someone I can share my life with - which I may have. We're... still searching oueselves I suppose. But she was really nice, and sweet. But I'm... not sure what to do or say just yet to express how I feel."

Nodding at his answer she smiled, he was nice and kind, maybe she had a friend here. She wasn't sure if she had any friends yet, maybe just people she knew, but this one maybe would be a friend, maybe she'd ask him?

"Meeting others is nice, I've met a few others but I can't say I can call them friends. A quest...it sounds nice and it's nice quest also, meeting others and finding out about them. I guess I'm one more added to your large quest. Mmm...a friend, I'd like to make friends with others."

Nodding her head she smiled. "You could just tell her...be honest and tell her your feelings...you can express it anyway, so long as the feelings are there that's what I think matters most."

He turned his eyes away from the sky, and back to her. "Well, everyone in the quest is special in some way - for the memories and all. If not more." He ducked his head a moment, chuckling quietly. "I wouldn't mind calling you a friend, after all. You're a nice person, and you like to look at the stars and moon too."

He then turne dhis thoughts to her advice, and he exhaled slowly. "Well, I could try that.... just not easy to tell someone such things. I get all nervous just thinking about it, because I don't want to .... y'know, find out that it's only one way or something. So I might wait and see if I can tell more. I also don't want to make her uncomfortable."

Laughing she smiled and nodded. "I would like to call you a friend as well and make more memories with you, we can..spend time talking and doing other things." Other things like what she didn't know...star gazing or something.

"That would be good. You can even talk to her about it in a round about way, ask if theres any soquili she likes in the way you like her, and other such questions." The mare suggested wit ha light smile. "And when you feel it's safe to tell her how you feel, just think of what will happen once you tell her, knowing it will be good."
PostPosted: Thu Jun 26, 2008 11:40 pm

He gave it much thought, it seemed, as he watched the stars twinkling. "I shall keep it in mind, or perhaps she shall ask me things. One can never know what the other things sometimes," he said, laughing a moment.

"Perhaps some day we can meet again and go explore somewhere; there's the shoreline, and a lake as well. Quite a few intresting places around to say the least, and it'd be good to know what is going on in each other's lives perhaps." He shook his head a moment, the cirls bouncing a bit. "Hah, that is if you'd be up for that sort of thing. I live along one of the streams off the main river."

Nodding she smiled softly. She did wish him much luck with this mare he so obviously liked. "Hopefully the next time we see each other you will be able to tell me that she is at your side as more then a friend." She spoke lightly.

"Ahhh, that would be very lovely, I haven't seen the lake or shoreline just yet. I've done little exploring infact. I would very much like to see both and if I had someone with me, for safety reasons and so I don't become lost trying to find such places, I would love it even more." She spoke nodding her head her long hair moving up and down while she nodded the beads giving soft little sounds as they moved with her head and hair.

"I live deep in the woods myself." What would it be like living near water, to hear the water moving from ones home and to go to sleep to the gentle sounds of a stream. She imagined it would be very lovely.
