A crisp morning breeze sifted carefully through the mane of a small pinto mare. Karishma stood still, taking in the wind's smell, the sweet scent of the flowers left her mind in a dreamy daze. She broke the trance to take a few bites of the newly sprouted grass before lifting her head again to take another look around. The past few days hadn't been exceptionally full of interesting new sights and thus that morning she'd decided to wander, take a gaze at just what else could be beyond the hilltops she'd been allowing herself to stay clear of for so long. Thinking about it now the mare figured it must've been months ago that she had ventured beyond the meadow and woodland she was staying in, and that had given her a new friend. What harm was there in doing it again? Taking another snip of grass Karishma finished chewing and trotted gracefully to the hill, stopping at the bottom before shaking her doubts away and going forward. There was no harm in exploration, none at all.

(yes, says female, gonna be fixed. he is male. XD)Short, dirty looking hair blew gently in the breeze. The spikey make, and long tail, both reacted to it, though in varying intensities. The little stallion smiled up at the sky, his brown eyes gazing longingly up at them. It was so peaceful. So nice in this land. So calm. He brought his gaze back to land and continued walking along, eyes looking over everything as he thought, drifting back to the past. He froze, eyes wide with fear for a moment before he shook his head and sighed softly. Leaning down he took a small bite of grass before getting back up, his mood restored. Today seemed like a good day. The kind of day one might meet someone new. Make a friend. Change a life.

Her copper-toned hooves were placed firmly in the grassy hilltop as Karishma stood in awe. It was just as before, as if these meadows and rolling hills never changed from last she saw of them. Maybe it was the real blending with the memories she had of this area, but nothing seemed to have moved a inch. The same trees with their same shapes and colors, the same lengths in grass and patches of dry dirt. Even the small pond that sat in the distance still managed to retain it's grim image. The mare's sky blue eyes shifted away from the land in order to focus on what appeared to be a Usdia stallion, one a little taller than herself, just below the twist of the hill. She was sure he hadn't noticed her presence, but perhaps today was one of those days to venture. Since after all, the possibility for fun had already presented itself, who was she to deny her mind of the pleasure of company.
Careful not to lose what balance her stubby legs could give her Karishma calmly made her way down the hill at a slant, hoping her semi-direct approach would give the male a fair warning. Startling others wasn't her intention, but as of late the mare found words less and less attractive. Perhaps he'd notice her without the use of her voice.

The little stallion's gaze started to travel back up when the light bounced off something, or rather someone. A little mare, just a touch smaller then himself, from what he gathered. Her mane and tail contrasted well with her body, the black standing out against the soft white and almost copper color. Or rather a soft brown. well a beautiful color none the less.
Mr. Wookie turned his head and smiled in greeting, not wanting to raise his voice to reach the mare. Words did not need to be shouted. A quite voice was always a better voice. He felt the farmillar tremble of a panic attack but swept it aside as he concentrated on the blending color of the mare. It was catching, unique. Simple. He liked it. He enjoyed seeing beauty in the world. it reminded him there was still good.
He waited for the mare to reach him before speaking.

A well rounded trot came in handy and did in fact make her known to the stallion. He coat was truly a mix of earthy colors, it made her content with him already...at least he seemed approachable. With a firm but delicate smile Karishma found that this company would be enjoyable, at least so it appeared. Just now reaching a close enough distance to make out a more detailed vision of the blend on him she saw this time as the best to make a kind gesture with her voice, it wasn't raspy nor ill mannered in tone, it was clear and smooth. She'd always had that type of sound, it was beautiful, a personal tune nothing else could imitate.
"Hello there. I'm Karishma."
'That was such a bland statement,'
Her own mind was kicking itself in the rump for her initial greeting style. It was generic and ordinarily boring. She sounded like her grandmother for pity's sake. Grinning shyly she stopped a comfortable distance, hoping she wasn't disturbing him any.

Mr. Wookie smiled happily as she stopped near him. Her voice matched her visual look. "Hello Karishma." He said softly. "Such a beautiful name...My name is..." He flushed. His name sounded so stupid next to hers. "I am Mr. Wookie, it is a pleasure to meet you, miss. Karishma."
He dipped his head politely before looked about. "What brings you here? Do you live here? Or are you passing by, as i am?" he asked curiously. It would be nice to have a traveling compainion, or to meet one of the locals. Either way it would improve his day.

His greeting gave her the impression he might be a little shy, which in these days might generally be a wise action. It was a odd name to have, one she certainly hadn't heard before, but that was never a negative thing. Oddities normally made the world a better place, otherwise everything would just be so similar it would drive the sanest mare or stallion nuts. She nodded at his gentlemen-like behavior, it was well respected as far as she was concerned, he seemed a well rounded male.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Wookie..."
The faded tips of her long black mane curled around her ankles as the mare continued to listen and respond to the stallion's questions,
"I've stayed in this area for some time. A few months perhaps. Normally I'm quite the traveler but this seemed a peaceful place so I've stayed here for a short while."
How strange that was to be exiting her lips, staying anywhere wasn't her style, not since her past told her it was wise to not act so grounded. Hearing that he was traveling through she wondered where he'd been, or was going, it was always fun to exchange travel stories with those you met along the journey. Wondering if it'd be too nosy of her at this point she bothered to ask anyways, her curiosity always got the best of her.
"So you're passing through? If you don't mind my asking, where are you headed?"

He relaxed a bit, not even realizing how tense he had become, when she did not laugh at his name. So she was a traveler as well, but it seemed she'd know this area well. Well enough at least. He nodded lightly. "Yes, i am just passing though." he said lightly. His eyes grew bit distant. "...Away..." he said softly. "I'm just going anywhere that is as far away from..." he turned his head away a moment so he could try and get himself to calm down before he had another panic attack.
Slowly he looked back at the mare. "My apologies." he said softly. "I have no destination in mind. Just somplace far away, somplace safe..." he said lightly. Yes, somplace safe. Somplace where he wouldn't be...somplace with friends. Anyplace that would offer that to him would be heaven in his mind. "I'm trying to get to my own heaven." he said lightly, smiling. "Just trying to be happy."

"To find peace in the world. I think I have yet to find a mare or stallion with any different over all want. Happiness can be found almost anywhere, as long as you're willing to find it."
She smiled, Mr. Wookie was a kind hearted stallion, she was now sure of that much. There was something, as his thoughts shifted, that made him deter from their generally easy-going conversation to one with a little more depth. Karishma didn't know quite was the cause, but it didn't bother her any. The wind licked the bottom tips of her two tone mane and tail before leaving. It was soothing to know nature had fun leaving it's mark on her, even if for a brief moment.
"No need for an apology, depth in ones words is nothing bad. I hope you find what you are looking for, as I hope I too find it. I find nothing in this world that deserves less than their dreams to come true."
It was hard, for her past not to make that statement untrue. But it'd been some time since that afternoon, some time since her emotions had caught her in pain and bitterness, now she was anything but foolish. To hate she found no purpose, it wasn't satisfying to either party and ultimately brought her pain. Pulling her mind from those thoughts she brought it back to focusing on Mr. Wookie, happy to have someone to share words with.

"I am afried that i must disagree with you there, Karishma." He liked the sound of her name. It was unique. "I have met many who do not deserve happiness, nor should their dreams ever be realized." he said softly. "For their dream crushes the dreams, and lives, of anyone they touch. Some do not deserve happiness." He said lightly. Those...he would not call them anything but monsters...deserved to be the pet of Kalona's, thats what they deserved. He sighed softly.
"I appologize once more my fair lady..." He said softly, dipping his head. "Life has not been kind to me...and so i am hoping it will change its mind and treat me well now. It seems it has already desided to be kind, at the vary least, allowing me to be graced by your presence." He said softly. He needed to meet kind worded usdia's like him. And running into this mare definatly made his life better already. Happier. Perhaps life would permit him some happiness now, perhaps he would reach his dream. He could only hope.
