Mat was aggitated by none other than the main source of his daily anger issues. He had settled down his temper and his behavior was tamed for the most part but that all crashed down whenever Valse was around doing something. Knowing how things were in the family, Valse was the one who was stuck with Mat. After the long patrol from sun up, he was going back home to the den for a quick name before the next and then a hunt, however, he barely got much time to actually patrol than keeping his son in actual line. The little cub, who resembled one of their brothers, ran about around his father, constantly nipping at his legs as he passed.
"Valse. Stop."
He did not comply.
"Stop it before I smack you a good one."
He did not comply.
"Valse, I said enough!" Matishou jerked around with a snarl and cuffed him one that made him tumble over. Valse just rose right back up, smiled and started to run around again. "Annoying little whelp... I have no idea how Noyana puts up with you."
"That's because she doesn't have to~" Mat didn't know it, but Valse behaved quite well around his mother. It was around his father that he misbehaved for the pure purpose of pissing him off. "Hey, where are we going anyways?"
With a smirk, "Well, first I am going to drop you off with your Uncle Tahka and let him beat the s**t out of you. Maybe he'll put you into discipline since, you know, I wouldn't want to, but if it taught you a lesson, I might consider it."
Valse instantly stopped. He knew about how the pride delt with misbehaving children, his parents had always used that to get the two brothers to settle down and behave. If anything, he did not want to be separated from his parents, though they may not know how much he cared for them.
Behaving, Valse walked under his father, without noticing, that they were heading where Mat spoke of. To Tahka.

Standing proud and tall Tahka’s maw wrinkled at the ends as he gazed out at the dry lands before him, his claws softly grinding against the earth below. Beside him sat his son, Kadaj. Kadaj spoke no words to his father, not a single one. They both looked very tired, but very full of pride. Something good must have happened.
Today Tahka became a father- for the second time and Kadaj an older brother. Unlike before Tahka was ready to be a father… and he would need to be. He was now the father of seven more cubs. He hardly knew what to do with two cubs once upon a time ago, but things changes. He was ready for this; both he and Mjrn had wanted this. It was a satisfying feeling, this feeling he felt.
“Father.”
Kadaj spoke out, frowning.
“Kadaj, I know. Not now though, your mother is still very tired. Seven cubs really wore her out. We can not talk about this, not right now.”
“But father, what will become of him? Will we keep him?”
Tahka snarled at his older son and swiped at him with a claw.
“Don’t you dare, Kadaj- I said we will talk about it later.”
Kadaj simply nodded and sighed, his blue eyes narrowing from under his mask.

Mat's emerald eyes fell upon the two bodies not too far away, letting out a soft roar as a greeting to the both of them. Valse made no vocalization and remained under his father. Mat was still as strong as ever, but his brain and mental capacity grew so very little, but grew never the less. Unlike his other siblings, his mane wasn't the inky black like the rest of them, it was teh same as his fur color, a creamy sort of brown.
"Well, anything new in the life of my brother?" He asked, cocking a brow at him. He seemed very different as to what he usually was. Whatever it was, he couldn't put a finger on it.
Valse stepped out from under his father, staring directly at Kadaj, more specifically the strong skull helm he bore as a mask. He smirked and stepped closer to him. "Hey Cousin, what is with that stupid thing on your face?"
The father paid no heed to his son's conversation, he was more interested in his own with his brother.
"You seem tired."

“The stupid thing on my faces helps keep the ugly of your face from blinding my own.”
Kadaj snorted and stood up, his lean body arching beside his father’s.
Tahka didn’t move. He simply gave his brother a nod and spoke out, his tone lighter than before.
“Keep your voices down, Mjrn is resting. She just gave birth.”
The news came out easy, more-so then he thought it would be. Not many knew they were going for another litter.
“What brings you to my den, Mat?”
He questioned and stood up too, eyeing Mat’s small son.

"Mrjn had another litter? Well, I guess a congratu-... congratu-..."
"Congratulations, father, the word is congratulations...."
Mat rolled his eyes and dipped his head lightly for his brother. Though they had a very rocky history before, he was making an effort to smooth it out. They both kept their voices down for the sake of Mjrn and the cubs.
"I never thought you'd be aiming for a second litter, brother. How many of them?"
He and Noyana were aiming for a larger family, he did not care how many times she would have to get pregnant. Noyana wanted a big family and that was what he was going to do for her... it was just the wait for her heat to come back that was killing him. Though, he just hoped that they would not turn out like Valse, even Usufii was more behaved.
"Does Sarafina know?..."
Valse scoffed and whispered, "Are you sure? Or are you just keeping your handsome face from everyone in fear that they will come flockin' to ya?"

Kadaj spat at the smaller male and moved himself to stand at the entrance of the den, as if protecting his mother and new siblings.
“Seven.”
He answered Mat’s question before his father could, a smirk upon his face.
“Yes, there are seven cubs this time. It’s a very large litter.”
His red eyes narrowed as he gazed at Mat for a moment, a frown upon his face. Mat was trying hard, he could tell.
“No, she doesn’t know yet. Why ask?”
What was he getting at?

Valse laughed, "Seven? Well, that certainly is going to be a pawful of cubs to take care of don't you think? But I'm sure that you two can take care of them all, all by yourselves~" the juvenile smirked, his ear flicking.
Mat cuffed him in the head without the need to look.
"Quite the big litter," he spoke in the lowered voice. Seven cubs? That really was a lot, if he managed that, he would sooner throw them upon Usufii and Valse while he and Noyana took care of one each. The two brothers needed something better to keep them occupied.
"Just that you two were always close, I thought she might have known that our brother has had another litter. Aside from it affecting the pride itself, but to me, right now, it is my brother, not the vizard, that is important."
Valse made his way to his cousin, more tempted to peek inside, but he was far too big to look past without it seeming far too obvious.
"What, aren't you glad too?"
