so this is one of my favorite things i've done. i was very proud of it. not that its great, but its like trying to draw something you thought of, but you can't draw except for ONE moment you get to put down exactly what you want. i was surprised it came out as well as it did.. ENJOY!

i am a finite-sided die.
i am thrown on jagged ground.
never is just one side showing.
i am handed to luck, chance and happenstance,
from the crap dealer.
betting excessive equals shortened experience.
they said I'm a game of chance.
to any newcomers, its true.
but i have been held like this before,
In hands like these.

A keen mind can seen the factors,
and whittle down the odds.
but no throw is the same
no player like any other
and no throw is a waste.
every throw is rewarding
it just depends on your view
are you a thrower, a bettingman or excited spectator?
i am not the same die i was years ago

every throw changes me
every hit knocks something loose
everything loose comes off with good falls
everyone plays
nobody wins
nobody loses
everybody gains
everybody gets their turn
and then everyONE turns, turns, turns.

here's some class doodles that went along with it.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone compare themselves to a die before. It's very creative.

I was curious with the drawings included- are those meant to be veins or roots on the dice, or neither?

thats up to you. as much as i like doing these things, i don't presume to say what it is or isn't. it really depends on what you think it looks like to you. i'm not sure if thats me being mysterious or just creatively lazy xp ... oh well.

We'll go with mysterious- it sounds snazzier.

I guess I'd interpret it as veins then, since most people have veins inside of them and not roots. Roots-- well that's for when we're 6 feet under. And while we're kicking it above ground, most of us dislike the concept of being worm food.
