Sighing lightly, Erebos convinced the lithe muscles of his legs up from the ground, pushing him forward into a brisk walk. He wasn’t going to run, yet; there was no need. No, he was simply relocating to somewhere with water, maybe a bit of shade. Erebos nearly snorted at the concept- by the gods, SHADE! It’d been ages since he’d even considered the luxury. But now, it was available- as was water, at just about any time. (c)
Finally arriving at his planned destination, Erebos took a moment to lay himself down, staring at his own reflection in the pool. He was still so dark, and the scar hadn’t faded; now, more than anything, he was sure it looked worse. Frowning lightly, all he could do was see the memory, again and again… and still, he didn’t consider himself in the wrong.
“Who knows?” He mumbled darkly, voice gruff from lack of use. “Maybe I really did deserve it, in the end.” And looking at his reflection, he could only agree all the more.

PhiferWolf (12:30:11 AM): Hunting, that was all he could really do nowadays, it had been a while since he had left the swamp lands to find Ewan again. No leads. No information. Absolutely nothing was helping him find his path toward his current focus. After missing three kills, he had just given up. It was a lot harder to catch prey without a parter. Like everything else that many would find natural, he still struggled to do; hunting, cleaning, stalking, still needed work.
After working up a sweat, he made his way directly to a water hole nearby. A sharp pang to the head made him stop. Shaking it off, he continued on the path ahead of him. Something was ahead and it was a dark figure that seemed to be a repeating presence. If Dumu was going to see this being again, he better get to know him now.
"Did you really?" the male questioned as he stepped out from the brush, looking directly at the male with a wide smile. He couldn't help but be happy though.

Snapping out of his daze at the sudden addressing, Erebos stared quietly at the figure, then very neutrally shrugged. He’d have to stay on the low for a bit with this unknown… teen, he supposed, from just looking. His isolation had made him slightly more cautious, more eager to take in as much as possible at first before throwing himself in the fray. Surveying the younger lion once more, Erebos couldn’t help but smile; he seemed a bit unkempt, but nothing too terrible or frightening. The young male… dare he say, even seemed nice. Flicking his tail lightly, Erebos’ gaze returned to the water once more. (c)
“I’m assuming so, for the most part.” He answered cryptically, still attempting to remain as neutral as possible. He still needed time, to analyze the boy, find out a bit more, before he even thought of getting close. But then again, you learned that through talking, did you not? Raising an eyebrow, he turned back to him with a grin.
“I must admit, though, it makes me look a bit dashing, doesn’t it? Like some kind of... Gods, dashing hero, or some sort like that.” Erebos turned to the water once more, ever-so-slightly inclining his head to the right, then the left. Furrowing his brow, he went silent a moment.
“Though, I slightly wish it’d been on the right side; I think it’s my better one, after all. How about you?”

PhiferWolf (12:58:16 AM): "I guess you must have done something rather impuslive to have gotten that. Especially so close to the face too," he chuckled softly as he pushed into the water's edge. He didn't mean for it to be rude or anything, he had his own scars but they too were out of impulsive actions. He seemed rather nice, but a little distracted. What amused was that he was quite the charmer.
"I am sure the girls will swoon all over you, maybe a male or two," Dumu laughed. Quite the charmer indeed. "Well, if you are going to be a hero, you'll need someone to save, huh? Now where do you suppose you'll find someone in desperate trouble?" The adolescent asked, cocking a brow, playing along to amuse him.
"You can't really ask for where scars are placed. Unless you asked someone to give them to you. Mine are... well, from my own impuslive actions."
He shook his head with a smile, gleaming up at him from the other side of the water hole.
"Name's Yadumugandama, Dumu if you please."

Sherlock FTW (1:30:35 AM): “Impulsive, smart.. however you choose to view it, I suppose.” Erebos added lightly, not wanting to delve into much deeper detail than that. It wasn’t that the memory was painful; just a bit unpleasant, and he was far happier sticking with pleasantries. Besides, that was dwelling in the past, and he was ready to move on. Time was wonderful like that; you could up and move on, after moving from your mistakes, and you weren’t ever trapped by the past. Pawing lightly at the soft soil by the water’s edge, Erebos chuckled.
“I’m done with women, thanks.” He answered instinctively, fully knowing the other meaning of what he was saying. Closing off women left another door entirely open- one he didn’t feel entirely like closing, but one he wouldn’t shut off forever, either. Rather, it would remain an option. This certainly wasn’t the time to dwell on that, though! He had company to entertain, someone new to try out. (c)
“You never know, I quite might’ve. In my youth, been a bit of a masochist, asked a lovely lady to swipe at my face.” Raising a paw, he half-heartedly mimicked a swiping motion. “Thought I was some big, fine young thing, decided to make myself look more rugged.” He grinned once more. “And I must say, if that was the circumstance, it certainly worked out.”
Quieting himself again once more, he listened patiently as the youth- Dumu, he corrected himself, gave the introduction. Remaining stoic, he contemplated a moment, seemingly lost in the confines of his own mind.
“Dumu’s a good name. S’got a nice ring to it.” He nodded lightly, then smiled. “I suppose it’s only fair to give you my name, then. I’m Erebos. There’s not a way to shorten it, but if you come up with something, go ahead. ‘m not too fond of the name myself, so anything’s better than it.”

PhiferWolf (1:44:13 AM): "You could certainly say that. But are you sure that you want to square yourself off females? They are very nice to talk to and be with," Masochist? It a was a creepy thought that this tall dark and handsome male loved pain. It made a shiver shake down his spine, but he disguised it with a sneeze. Rubbing his nose, he pushed it aside as to say that it did not need a 'god bless you' or anything. "You certainly do look rugged, maybe a little more male than some."
Dumu chuckled softly and looked down at the water, rubbing a paw over his cheek. That was when he had angered his great niece, Jura. The one upon his shoulder from the Goddess of Rage, digging into her past was the worst idea he had, certainly learned to respect the space of others. That would explain why this one was on the other side of the water hole from this stranger.
"Thanks and I like your name too. It has a.... exotic feel to it. How can you not like it? I like it, kinda want me to switch my name now~" Dumu joked, sticking his tongue out comically.

Sherlock FTW (1:58:55 AM):
“Talk with, certainly, but no more than that. Try to go any further, and it gets you nothing but trouble.” He shrugged lightly, idly dipping his paw into the water and swirling it lightly. At the sneeze- which, when he thought about it, seemed the slightest bit odd- he murmured a quick “Bless you”, and moved on. He had a compliment to respond to, after all!
“..What?” Suddenly feigning shock, Erebos’ face grew a bit grimmer, brows knit with worry. His tail twitched in anxiety, ears slightly drooping. “..The girlish charm is gone, then! Oh, tragedy, thou dost strike me again! I can’t seem to get anything right these days.” Drooping slightly, he stared into the water a moment. “..Ah well! Suppose it’s time to accept that I’m just too handsome to be girly, and move on to that, no? Can’t dwell in the past!” (c)
Upon the mention of his name, Erebos gave a light huff in response. “It’s not great, really. Exotic as it may seem, all it means is darkness.” He smiled brightly, ears flickering upward once more. “Mum was pure white- gods know how I happened- thought I was a bit of a bad omen. Been on my own since I was a cub.” Swirling the water in habit, Erebos laughed. “So, no real attachments to the name. Take it if you like, I might just steal yours!”

PhiferWolf (2:08:42 AM): "I've been with a female, she's still my friend, but y'know, she can do better than me," Dumu chuckled, running his paws down his mini-mane. Violet eyes glanced into the water, watching the water disrupt his reflection. He let out a soft sigh and shook his head. He hasn't lost sight of himself, no, he was still him; seer, cursed, and in love.
"Oh come on, there is nothing wrong with that. I think you are quite the charmer, who knows a lucky lion may catch ya," he chuckled with a wide smile. He liked Erebos already, he could be a very fun companion to have around. Someone to talk to and someone to joke with. If he didn't know any better, he could have been flirting with him.
"But your mother gave it to you, that alone should make it special. My father gave me my name... for... certain reasons, but I'd never want to give it up," So he has been alone since he was a cub too. So he had been the same like him, sort of. Dumu sympathsized. "Nah, it's fine. You could keep it and if you try to take mine, I may have to pounce ya."
