WE BE RANDOMIZING UP OUR FIELD NAO ;O
A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on a picture of a cactus...
THE DESERT FIELD
Powerful heat lamps, with the addition of the stadium air conditioners set on “hot”, create the authentic heat wave needed for this particular territory. Heated sand stretches from trainer platform to trainer platform. There is very little to no shelter areas in this field, the only things truly to hide behind is a single cacti standing tall near the eastern end of the field and the large boulder of sandstone that lays centerfield. Various chunks of rock and desert plants (far too small to hide behind) are scattered randomly in the sand. On very random occasions, if this field is selected, the scenery will change to a monsoon setting. The ceiling will be closed and the temperature will drop several degrees to a much colder level. Harsh rain-like settings will rain down on the two battling pokemon, causing the sand to turn to mud and the field will slowly start to flood. Movement is very difficult and visually is poor.

"Haha, our last match, huh?" Luna asked the other trainer. This time, she was ready to face the desert field after her last battle in the field with Piney. She had TWO bottles of water nice and packed in her bag.
"Okay then, Prince, come on out!"
Luna tossed up a pokeball into the air, enlarging it just before it left her hand. The ball opened, letting out a white ray of light that steadily formed into the shape of a soaring Pidgeot. The ball fell back down to Luna's hand from the recoil and the trainer shortly pocketed it.
Prince soared the skies, surveying everything with a calculating eye. Even small things could become very adventageous to him later.

"Yeah," Zuki replied hesitantly as he gingerly stepped onto his platform on the opposite end of the stadium. With a nervous gesture he glanced down at the scarred Umbreon at his side, however, the dark-type was gone. "We--huh?"
The impatient Ryou had already trotted out onto the desert field, and was waiting, impatient as ever, beside one of the smaller rocks on the arena floor. "Bre," he called shortly to his trainer, indicating he was ready, and had been for a while now.
With a small sigh the trainer set his bag on the ground near his feet, surveying the sandy terrain. He was hoping the heat mixed with the blinding lights wouldn't be too much for the small dark-type with his black coat. Prince wouldn't have as much of a problem with his light feathers, not to mention how much stronger he'd grown.
"Ready when you are..."

"Okay Prince! Let's start this off with a U-turn!" Luna ordered, taking full advantage of the bug type move in Prince's moveset. She had to use type advantages to their fullest.
"Geooooo!"
Prince swooped down at the smaller pokemon and quickly sliced past him to return to the air. Prince liked to maintain a high altitude. The attack was too fast to see if any damage was done immediately, but Luna figured that in a few moments, the damage would show.
((It's bug which is 2x effective towards dark types, so the attack gets an extra 50 HP of damage if it hits. 100 if crit.))

Ryou jumped to the side as he sensed Prince grow closer, but he underestimated the bird's speed. He hissed as he felt the attack slice across his side, and he stumbled backwards a bit when he landed. His rings began to glow blue a bit before he heard his trainer's voice.
"That did a bit too much, didn't it? Try and lower his attack!"
"Breon!" The dark-type snorted as he shot towards the giant chunk of sandstone he knew was in the middle. Upon reaching it he ran around it a bit, not wanting to run straight into it and make his situation worse, before he leapt on top of it. His rings glowed a bit again as he detected Prince's position. He lowered his head and growled deeply as his tail flicked back and forth, figuring a growl attack would do the trick.
Growl: Should lower Prince's attack damage by 50hp
HP: 850/1000

"Mirror move Prince!" Luna ordered. If her opponent was going to cause any stat changes, she would too! She smiled. Zatao's battle was definately changing to be quite exciting.
Prince was a bit intimidated by the growl attack, but he still held firm to his battle confidence. Prince's eyes glowed as he recalled the move. While hovering in midair, he immediately spotted the umbreon's location, the previous growl attack was a pretty good hint. Opening his beak, Prince let out his own loud soundwaves at the Umbreon.

"If that's how she wants to do it," Kazuki called to Ryou as he pulled out a water bottle in response to the stadium's annoying heat, "then show Prince how it's done!"
Well, that certainly hadn't done much, but perhaps it was time to lower the bird-brained pokemon's defense. With a devious little grin, Ryou took a deep breath, steadied himself, and...
Whirled around, and waved his tail at Prince in a highly mocking manner.
Kazuki nearly fell over. Well, he certainly hadn't been expecting a tail whip, but, whatever...
Attack at 50hp regular, 100hp for crit. hit.

Prince stared at Ryou, hovering in the hair and just...staring. "Why, that's a nice butt you have there." Prince teased and let out a small snort.
Luna burst out into giggles. She NEVER expected Ryou to do a tail whip attack. Never. "Mirror..." Luna giggled, "move!"
Prince looked at her trainer for a moment. While tail whip was quite embaressing, he had no choice. "I'll repay you the favor and let you look at mine." Prince continued with his taunting, turning around and shaking some of his tail feathers at Ryou.

Well, that had done absolutely nothing, but it was funny to watch Prince attempt an awkward tail whip in the air. "Alright Ryou, let's try something else then! Try to confuse him!"
The dark-type snorted, glad he didn't have to witness the bird wiggling his tail feathers at him. He couldn't help but shudder; what he had to put himself through for this...
Oh, but, confusion? That could work. The blind pokemon turned towards Prince once more and his rings glowed blue as he shot a confuse ray towards the flying-type. Hopefully that would do something.

"Prince! Ignore it and use another U-turn!" Luna commanded, hoping that Prince would be smart enough to avoid the confuse ray.
With his battle experience, Prince managed to pull it off. He dove straight down towards Ryou again, closing his eyes to pass the confuse ray. He snapped them open again when he neared the ground, his pupils set on the black and white pokemon.
He passed Ryou again quickly before veering up into the sky once more.

(Let's just dump the stat marking conditions and memorize that we already are in a stalemate on that xD )

Ryou snarled as he felt the attack slice past his other side, ears pinned back in irritation. He was going down fairly quickly, and he had yet to actually do any damage to Prince. Wonderful.
"Okay, hang in there..." Well, another dud. One last chance... Here's hoping that the micle berry he'd given Ryou earlier would work. "Natural gift!"
Finally, something that could do something. "Breeee..." He began, his rings and eyes glowing blue as many of the small rocks scattered throughout the field began floating. In an instant, they all began flying through the air, but whether they were aimed at Prince or not, Ryou couldn't tell. "Eon!"

Luna smiled. "We have a berry of our own~" Luna said cheerfully. "Mirror move Prince!"
The salac berry on Prince's leg glowed as Prince swooped down to attack Ryou again. A small rock nicked Prince's wing on his decent, but the bird pokemon bore with it. He wanted his attack to succeed. Prince's right talon began to glow.
"Go gett'em!"
Prince was right infront of Ryou's face with an outstretched claw, ready to kick Ryou in the face.

"Look out!" Kazuki called before covering his face with his hands, temporarily forgetting the fact that Ryou was blind.
The warning was enough to go by, and the dark-type swiftly launched himself from the rock just in time to avoid anything catastrophic. The kick, however, landed squarely in his side, sending him rolling over and over across the field. Half-way through one roll he shot to his feet, skidding to a stop as his rings and eyes glowed blue again. Many more rocks shot up from the ground towards Prince as Ryou once again used natural gift.
Super-effective, +50hp if it hits

"U-turn!"
Prince managed to weave through the flying rocks while diving down, this time using his amazing agility and battle instincts to avoid any hits.
"Yeah!" Luna cheered, relieved that Prince had managed to dodge all those rocks. Prince had improved so much since he was a little pidgey. "Go kick some butt Prince!"
"Pidgeooooooooooooo!"
Prince swooped in towards Ryou.
