The dark male stepped into the empty shop unaccompanied. Casting a silver glance, he padded to the counter. He hadn't seen any familiar faces in a while. Two of his companions had mated and were busy caring for their family. His other friends... well he didn't have many other friends besides that... The unethusiastic demon that used to follow him around began dissapearing more often. It seems Shade was left a loner once more. Sighing softly, he looked under the counter and chairs, searching for where he last left his writing scroll and ink.

Falan went into the shop at a slight run, more like a sprint. She stopped abrubtly when she entered to see who was there but didnt see anyone. Then she looked over in one area and saw a fow with his head under a chair. She giggled a little and aproached the fox.

"Lose something?"

Shade's head snapped up at a sudden voice. He winced slightly as the back of his head collided with the bottom of the chair. Backing up, he rubbed the sore spot of his cranium. "Yes," he murmured softly, eyes lowered at the breif pain. "I've seemed to misplaced my scrolls..." He shook his head slghtly as if ridding himself of the ache and blinked up a the dark femme who stood before him.

Falan laughed a little when the fox in front of her hit his head on the chair. She tried to to hide it a little but wasnt doing much of a job at it. She noticed that he was a demonic fox when he stood to his full height and stared at his horns for a few seconds before she realized she was staring.

"Well, I'm new here so i wouldnt really know where your scrolls are but i think i can help. I'm good at finding things." She gave him a big smile while looking at him. She seemed to be in a very good mood today.

Shade dipped his head. "Thank you kindly, mistress of vibrant green characters in the shadow's heart." He said softly, referring to her pelt as he did anyone else. He searched under one table before pulling out and looking around. "They should be here in the main room, either under a chair, table, or cushion..." He motioned toward an end of the room where the tables were left unchecked while he glanced behind the counter.

Falan blushed lightly at how the fox described her, but quickly regained her composure. She looked to where he had motioned and looked at the tables before looking back at him. "Alright, Ill check there. Oh and my name is Falan by the way." She paused for a second before bouncing off to look under the tables. She poked her head under one and didnt see anything so she went and looked under the other. There still wasn't any sign of any scrolls so she decided to look under the coushions. She lifted up one with no luck then lifted up another. She was so sure that he might have stashed them under the cushions since thats where most things end up and not too many others look, but no such luck for her.

Shade continued to search around the cabinets. "Greetings Falan," he responded after her introduction. "I am Shade." He found the capsule of ink atop the counter-top, but the scroll was not with it. Reaching his forearm under the counter, he felt around before happening upon a small, roundish item. "I think I've found it..." he murmured lightly. Pulling out the item, he discovered it was a scroll, but not the one he was looking for. His nose twitched lightly at the startled dust as he unraveled the parchment. It already had a few poems scribbled on. He recognized the writting as his own. The scroll was probably one he brought to the shop when he was a kit and had accidentally left it there. It would have to do for now. He turned momentarily to Falan. "Thank you for helping me look; I've found one for now." He thanked curtiously with a dip of his head.

Falan heard the fox say his name was Shade. She thought it fitting for his colorings. She was just about to look under the cushions from the chair when Shade had said that he had found a scroll. She stopped her search and went over to Shade. She was curious as to what he would write on the scroll. She had never tried to write herself since she did not posses the patience for it. She looked at the scroll and noticed there was already some writing on it and got very curious.

"Oh, I see somethings already on it." She peered over trying to see what it said but had no luck reading upside down.

Shade nodded lightly and read over a couple haikus that he had wrote when he was a kit. He smiled softly, remembering how some were based the influence of the first foxes he met at the time... He blinked up as Falan looked over to read what was written and turned the scroll in er direction.

Rainbows dance on clouds
Casting their light and color
To the world around.

Snow blankets the earth
Capturing living beauty
In winter solstice.

Spectrum against white
Combined, paints life with beauty
To form an artwork.

"Not the best haikus, perhaps, but I used what I knew when I was young..." he murmured thogutfully.

Falan was glad when Shade turned the scroll so that she could read it for herself. She was impressed at the peoms but didnt really understand them.

"Those are nice. So you write poems? Thats pretty interesting. I've never had the patience or skill to write anything, not even a letter to anyone." She spoke slightly fast since she had a lot of energy and was very anxious to burn some of it off.

Shade nodded and blinked at how quickly she spoke. She sure seemed like an energetic fox. He tilted his head at her remarks. "Ah, well poetry doesn't always require skill. It's just how well you can put feeling into words..." He wasn't sure about patience though. Some people tend to take more time than others. Sighing softly and closing the scroll for the time being, Shade looked up at Falan once more. "Well, switching from literature... are there any hobbies that you interest in?"

Falan thought about about what she like before answering "I like to wrestle, run around, play sports, ummm, be outside and explore. I think thats it. Is writing the only thing you like to do?"

Falan kept fidgeting and couldnt sit still. She wasnt used to being in one spot for a period of time unless she was eating or sleeping.

Shade thought for a moment. "Well, I don't do much else besides writing poetry or finding inspiration for poetry... Which would be learning new experiences, if you put it at that... But alas, I don't get out much besides coming to the shop..." He tilted his head, realizing how her likes were so opposite from his. She liked to rough-house and play outside, while he was more quiet and reserved.

Falan couldnt believe he didnt like to go outside. She wasnt used to knowing someone who didnt like to play or do other active things, well besides her sister.

"Well, you should get out more. Its fun to be outside and to just go run around out in a feild or play hide and seek in the woods. Its a good experience." She smiled at the thought of going and being outside on a warm sunny day.

He tapped his chin in thought. Shade had never really played any games before. "Well," he murmured. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to go outside now..." He blinked at her smile, knowing she wouldn't be the one to argue on such an idea. He placed his scroll next to a chair so it'd be easier to find next time he came.
