Treasure's leafy wings flopped sturdily at her sides, her leaping strides sending her dancing out into the open world beyond the forest. They were on their way to Neverland, that wonderful world where spirited Namrah could never grow old. "Neverland!" she shouted, laughing and twirling in place with her arms outspread to catch her wings. Coming out of her twirl, she looked about for Romsca, knowing that they had a grand advenure before the both of them.

Romsca bounded out of the bushes, leaf wings flapping, moving with all the stealth of a tornado. "I'm here! Don't fly off without me!" He slipped and fell on his front, legs splayed everywhere and one wing slightly bent. "Heh......guess I'm a little clumsy for a Namir-faerie, huh?" He picked himself up and shook himself off, sending dust all around him in a puff. "But I've got the dust! Now let's go find us some faeries!" He beamed at Treasure and leaped into the bushes.

"Yes! Let's!" she shouted gleefully, jumping into the bushes after him. She was about to spring into the next bush when a thought occurred to her, "Where will we find the fairies?" It hopped into her mind that fairies glowed in the dark, so maybe they should wait for dark to look for one. But nighttime was really far away... She leapt into the next bush anyways, waiting for Romsca's reply.

Romsca barely heard Treasure behind him and shouted back to her. "I think they'll come to us, especially with these wings! They'll probably just come out to see the big ol' faeries!" He turned to look in the direction he was romping in when a sudden flash of light blinded him in one eye, sending him crashing into a thick berry bush. Hoping that the stuff running down his face was berry juice and not something more sinister, he moved his body slightly, feeling like a pretzel. Suddenly, he saw a flash of rainbowy light, and he felt tiny little feet landing on his nose. He heard a tiny voice say "You're a mess." He looked down at what seemed to be a tiny glowing namir with wings not unlike a dragonfly. He crossed his eyes looking at it and kept very still, hoping that Treasure would find him and see what in the world had landed on his nose.

Treasure had laughed at his comment, bouncing after him without worry. When he crashed to a stop she skidded to a halt and ran after him. "Are you alri-" she began to ask, spying the tiny Namir-Fairy and pausing to look closely at it midsentence. With a whoop she jumped up, "It's a fairy! A real fairy! This is awesome luck, meeting one so early in our search!" Quieting down after realizing she might frighten it away, she knelt and peered at it not unlike Romsca, trying to keep her eyes from crossing as his were.

Romsca felt his nose tickle and it took all he had not to sneeze as the tiny faerie jumped and twirled around in midair to look at Treasure. "My, you're a noisy one." It sat down on Romsca's nose in a position of haughtiness. "And just why were you looking for me? If you want wishes, then forget it."
Romsca still sat there, cross-eyed, trying not to move, but finally the prickly branches digging into his hide proved too much. With a yelp, he struggled free and ended up in a heap on the ground, berry juice dripping down from his head and his tail full of branches. The faerie, who had flown off of his nose with a 'yeep!' when he had struggled, now alighted on Treasure's head and stared down at the pair of them. "Tsk tsk. So clumsy."

Treasure blinked at the fairy, opening her mouth to reply when Romsca jumped and fell over. "Are you al right?!" she asked instead, kneeling to untangle his tail. She dug in her tattered pockets for a peice of cloth to wipe off the berry juice, speaking to the fairy as she did, "No, we don't want any wishes, we only want to get to Never Never Land." Trying to find where the fairy had gone to, and not realizing the light-weight being had landed in her hair, Treasure tilted her head back in the thought that she could hear the tiny voice coming from somewhere above her.

The faerie giggled as it realized that Treasure didn't know where it was, and it flew down until its wee little nose was almost touching Treasure's. "Heehee; silly thing! Didn't see me! That's how EVERYONE misses us!" It did a little cartwheel and landed io Romsca's freshly cleaned head. "So! You want to get to Neverland, do you? What makes you think you can keep up with me?"
Romsca had been grateful for Treasure's assistance, even nearly purring when she had wiped the juice off of his head. But now his fur bristled with indignation. "We could keep up! Just show us the way!"
The faerie shrugged. "If you insist. But if you get lost, you're on your own." With that, it turned around and zipped into the bushes.
"Whoa! That's one fast faerie." Romsca looked at Treasure anxiously. "Would you......erm......can you keep up okay? 'Cause if not...you know......you could always.....ride on me. If you want."

"Yes, it is," Treasure said, rubbing at her hair. Her ears warmed a little at his offer of riding on him, replying quietly, "I can try to keep up, first." Turning to dash after the fairy she giggled, "We'd better get going or we'll be left behind without even getting a chance to chase after!" She pushed her way through the brush, following the small glowing trail of dust that slowly hovered down from the air in front of her.

Romsca's eyes widened as he saw Treasure dash off after the faerie. "Hey! Wait up!" Laughing, he jumped into the bushes and was soon running side by side with Treasure, following the sparkling trail that was already fast dissipating into the air. He inhaled a bit of it and sneezed, then chuckled as the image of flying boogers flashed in his head.
Suddenly, the brush cleared, and Romsca screeched to a halt, amazed. They had just entered a large clearing, and it was crawling with little namrah-faeries of every color of the rainbow, and even a few others he wasn't sure about. They floated about happily, playing tag and chatting in their tiny, high-pitched voices.
At the end of the clearing was what looked like an arch, with dozens of faeries perched on top, chatting like birds on a wire and shaking themselves ever so slightly so that faerie dust fell from them and floated down the arch like a nearly invisible curtain.
Before Romsca could look at Treasure to see her reaction to all this, the faerie they had been chasing hovered before them. "Oh. You made it after all."

Treasure's mouth had dropped open to leave her speechless at her first glimpse of the faeries. When the fairy they had been following spoke she automatically replied, "Of course we did!" Turning her head to take in the sight before slowly she couldn't help asking another question. "Ummm, just where have we made it to?" she inquired with awe.

The faerie looked about her and suddenly did a backward somersault toward the arch. "This is the gate to Neverland, of course." She gestured to the arch and its shimmery curtain of dust. "If you want to get there, you have to go through the gate."
Romsca crinkled his nose. "I dunno......I've never heard of a gate to Neverland. Narnia maybe, but never Neverland-" He caught himself and chuckled. The faerie humphed and turned up her tiny nose. "If you don't believe, then that's your problem, but you won't get very far without believing."
Romsca stopped chuckling. "You're serious, aren't you?" He looked at the arch, then over to Treasure. "What do you think? Should we try it?"

"Yes," Treasure said with absolute certainty, "How will we know unless we try? And if it turns out we don't beleive enough, then that's these little pixies' problem!" She giggled, "Though, I'd think the sight of them would be enough to make anyone beleive, huh?" Still laughing with glee, she skipped through the fairies, disturbing plenty of them on her way to the gate, and then jumping into a twirl to wave to Romcsa as she went through the glittering dust backwards.

"Hey! Wait up!" Romsca began to run toward the gate, scattering faeries left and right in his haste to not be left behind. He squeezed his eyes shut as he bounded through the gate, feeling the tingle as he passed through the curtain of dust. He even seemed to feel it as it settled into his fur, then he was off the ground, floating along. He mechanically moved his legs as though he was walking, and suddenly he landed with a bump onto something springy. He felt a few stray grains of dust enter his nose, and he sneezed violently, blinking in the sun. "Treasure? Where are you?"

"Over here!" she giggled, untangling herself from a patch of wild grass that was growing in the sand. With wide and excited eyes she gazed around, bouncing to her feet and ignoring the grass that still held her tail. "Hey! Is that a-? Watch out!" she cried, diving back into the sand and uprooting the grass entangled with her tail as a canon ball whizzzed through the air where she had just been standing.
