D2T Lame Farming Way Guide.*still trying to add pictures and make this more Player Friendly so bare with me. You can post too! I really do hope this encourage you to start farming. Sorry for missing information in my guide, i will post those up asap.* --------------- This is my 2nd guide that i have submitted to this guild. All my guides are only met to be seen by the guild members and should stay in this guild unless i have given permission to do so. if you see this guide somewhere else please give me the link to that place and i will take care of it. Thanks. My other guide: Balloon and House Advantages Guide----------------- I have a Specific way of Farming. You don’t have to go by this way, but this guide shows you the way that I farm. I will like to start out with some reminders or stuff to already know about me and some farming tips. Enjoy. Sorry that it is long. Contents --Into/Tips (this thread) ----Requirements ------Trees --------Bushes and specials ----------Full Farms and Hops-------- TIPS with STUFF-------I do recommend that you have lots of laws and air runes… just a lot of the runes really. The elemental ones. Fire, water, earth, air. Also, I am not the best farmer. I am only lvl 70 (better than 65% of runescape)Not everything is open for me to plant. Also, I have not farm every plant out there such as such as Fruit trees, wood trees, strawberries watermelon and sweet corn. You need the basic understanding of planting. I will start this guide with an empty patch field. (meaning nothing is planted and weeds are growing out of it.)
Remember you can get your farming tools from the Tool Leprechaun. (spade, compost, water can etc) Remember to always put them back in because keeping tools on you takes up inventory space. It is also best to make Garden Pies as they boost your farming by 3To make… Pie pan, cabbage, tomato, onion, and pie dough. ^.^ and cook on range.I am not a summoner, so summoning creatures is not my thing. If it is to you 100 cherries to you. (bull ants (lvl 40) is good for this, they store 9 items for you and last 30mins)Always buy the pineapple from the Cammy Store owner, it is 2gp each and he only have 40 stocked a day. This is great to make super compost! It is best to start timing your crops on the last patch/crop when done timing. Such as for full farm when on your last patch time the herb. It grows in 1hr 20-30mins. Also, don’t make normal compost, save everything that you get because it counts as payments. Buy your compost in cammy farm store and store them in the leprechaun. smile

BUSHES/SPECIALNow it is time for Bushes and Special Patches. *note, you do not need payments for these (I found out they don’t die as often (berries))*Also, you will only miss 1 berry patch due to how far it is.*Now that you are in ardy get these following objects outs. (you are going to have all but 1 of your Items Needed on the first location)1st ardy Items Needed: 3 berry seeds, 1 catcus, 1 bell seed, 1 turnip seed, 3 laws, 4 airs, 1 earth, 2 fire runes, Ring of dueling, and glory (gloves if harvesting bell). Go to the Berry patch and plant and tele to House (which should be in rimmington)2nd Rimmington: berry patch (use glory to Draynor) 3rd Draynor: Bell and Turnip Patch (use ring of dueling to Al Kharid) 4th Al Kharid: Cactus Patch (tele to varrock) 5th Varrock: Berry patch, by Champion Guild.. tele to varrock and bank your items. Take out a Mushroom seed out for the 6th location. 6th Canfis: If you have not gotten the fairy ring then you have to walk to canfis. (plus, idk where the closes one is at.) Also. If you have the agility lvl, you can use the short cut by the bench by the church. If not, you have to go under ground) Once at the patch, plant your mushroom seed and head to canfis bank then to the Full Farm part. Remember count on last plant you have planted.Berries unusually take 3 hours. Mushrooms take 4 hours, Turnips are unknown bells take 5 hours cactus take 9 hours…. So you can either wait the next day, or plant on your 3rd time going around for mushrooms, bells and maybe turnips. When you are harvesting Bells, you need Gloves on because they do cause damage without it and you are unable to pick. Now that you are in Canfis you are going to be on your first Full Farm. (sorry for the mess)

PLANTING FULL FARMS The first part in this guide i will talk about an Empty Patch, 2nd is when you are going to harvest so bare with me.
It is also best to have a familiar that store items, Bull ant stores 9 items which is enough to help out. It last for 30mins which should be long enough to last for all 4 patches
(to all patches)You can going to put 15 pine apples into the compost bin, Rake up the weeds, add compost (to potatoes, onions, cabbages, tomatoes) allotment patches *super if higher than those.* and Super compost in herb and flower *flower patch only for limpwart root.. other than that regular compost please* Plant your seeds, water them, and pay for your allotments because the farmer doesn’t look after Herbs and Flowers.
-tele to any of these places when you are done.-
1)Canfis 2)Fally 3)ardy 4)Cammy
Start Counting by the last herb you have planted so all your plants will be done and ready to harvest. Herbs take 1hour and 20mins to 1hour and 30mins to grow. If you don’t want to waste your travels on going to Canfis (unless you take fairy rings) then you don’t have to go due to how far it is.
Harvesting Full Farms
You will tele to all the same places, any order that you chose. But now this is where it gets frustrating because you are going to be running back and forth to the patch 2 times. one for harvesting, one for planting.
*note, I have not planted any tomatoes so harvesting anything with baskets are unknown to me. So I am going to talk about like potatoes, onions and cabbages.*
Havesting: items on 1st run:3 sacks, 15 pineapples and the rest are filled with buckets.
Use buckets on Compost bin and collect the compost. It will not be empty so bank the super compost to the Leprechaun and take out more buckets as well as a SPADE. *you will get 15 compost out of the bin* Collect the remaining compost. Now add the 15 pineapples to the Compost Bin. Once done. Bank the rest of the Compost with the Leprechaun.
Now Start off with the Allotment patches. Once your inventory is fill of your veggies/fruits click on the Sack. The veggies/fruit is now in the sack. 1 sack can take up to 10 of your harvest. So fill them up for future payments! Once done with both, add compost. Go to flower, pick it, super compost it, same with Herb. And bank your stuff. Then go to the bank. Now get the follow items out and go back to patch (if in fally, carry Fally runes on you since patch is kind of far) Bring your seeds and runes to next location. Plant your seeds, water them, and pay the farmer. (simple!)
Do this to all 4 and you will be a farmer!
HOPS
I don’t do hops but I did try it once…. I did it while planting Bushes but i am going to talk to about about after planting full farms.
--
Start at Castle wars, take balloon to Enterana, tele to Watchtower, tele to cammy, then go varrock.
You can try to mix this up with your bushes/special… But banking is the problem here. *if on the last location Varrock If you have complete the one quest, you can go down the cellar to end up at the basement of Lummy castle*

Under 60
Ok, first of all. I just wanted to let you know that farming, in my point of view, is not ment for you to stand around waiting countless and wasteable time. You got to find a method that allows you to go out and do some junk and come back and your plants will be harvestable.
----Let me talk about trees.---- There are four different tree patches around runescape. Wood trees, Fruit Trees Spirit tree, and Calquat Tree.
There are 5 wood trees and 5 fruit trees in runescape. There are many spirit trees patches but can only have 1 in 1 patch at a time. And there is 1 Calquat tree patch.
Tree Seeds give out enormous amount of experience points but they grow within hours!
---Tree Seeds into saplings---
I recommend buying the pot with soil from the garden shop or from the ge just having a empty pot and filling it with soil sucks!
You need to have the same number of pots equal to the number of seeds you have. so 10 tree seeds, 10 pots.
have a garden trowel in your inventory, the seeds, 3 water cans, and the rest filled with pots. Click on the seed then on the pot, and repeat then will all seeds are used and gone water the pots. You got to wait 5mins till the seed turn into saplings!!!
Tree Locations---- Since this is for under lvl 60 this is plain and simple. Only Wood and Fruit trees are only open to you.
Fruit trees are located in: Cammy>Gnome maze>Gnome Stronghold>Brimheaven>lletya
Wood Trees are located in: Taverly>fally>lummy>varrock>gnome stronghold

I'm a level 86 farmer, and I do enjoy this guide. I want to recommend something with your compost, if you'll allow me to.
This does require a little preparation on the person's part - buying buckets, and lots of them. In summoning, you can summon a compost mound; if you use the generate compost scroll and use it on an empty compost bin, it will fill it up with 15 compost - or super compost. Considering that each scroll is 72 gold each in the general exchange, it is rather cheap. And I think that the compost mound themselves are 800-900g each. Even if you make them yourself, it costs 1 green charm and one compost.
Before you go to the compost bin, use buckets on the compost mound itself. It will deal 2 damage to your familiar, but you'll get about 50 normal compost right off without killing it. If you want, you can run it down to low health before doing the compost scroll runs. If you do vinesweeper, you can purchase the compost potion for 5k points each. In my opinion, it is worth it - it can turn an entire compost bin full of normal compost to super.
The last time I timed this, I believe that my familiar lasted 20 scrolls before it ran out of time. That's 300 compost/super compost right there for a little bit of nothing! And also - remember, that doesn't include the compost you leeched off of it before its time ended. I think the compost familiar lasts about 20-30 minutes.
I found Catherby is the best place to do this; if you end your runs there, you can wait until the next patch you go to is ready, or if you want to just kill time, it's a good way to do it. Also, it's an easy way to make money since compost in the general exchange runs 100g each. I don't sell my super compost because I use it on my crops, so it's possible that there's even more money in it.
With the quests - I believe for Ardougne it is either Mournings End 1 that enables teleport to Ardy. Watchtower is for Yanille teleport. And Tree Gnome Village -should- be the one that allows for Tree spirit teleportation, but I can't remember for certain.
Fairy Rings quest needed is Fairy Tale 2. You just have to start the quest and get to the fairy rings useage, not finish it.
Good luck on finishing this guide - it's very good so far |
