It's a great insult to many country's when people say this event never happened. The leader of Iran is convinced that this tragic time in our worlds history was nothing more then a fable tail made up. It was of great inspiration from the book of Ann Frank that i read, that gave me the drive to learn as much as possible about this time of events, my eyes were truly opened when after reading books on the Holocaust, i was amazed and saddened by how fierce man can truly be. Adolf Hitler was nothing more then a fool striving towards something he thought to be the will of God, even though he couldn't be further from the truth. This subject is what truly inspired me to start and learn about history, I'm no scholar, nor do i claim to be a expert in History.
Just sharing some thoughts. Care to include your own?

Gorobei-Katayama- It's a great insult to many country's when people say this event never happened. I don't really understand this either. I mean, my friend's family is from Germany and she's seen concentration camps in person. How can they be fake? Gorobei-Katayama- Adolf Hitler was nothing more then a fool striving towards something he thought to be the will of God, even though he couldn't be further from the truth. I'm not a really religious person, but I do think that everyone should be able to believe what they want. However, I don't understand why someone would want to worship a God who would want something like that or who would be pleased by those acts.

i don't know what people aim to achieve by saying the holocaust never happened. it won't make the event go away - there is far too much evidence to suggest otherwise. and i am sure it is a insult to the people who died in the gas camps to be forgotten because people don't want to admit the truth.
we can't change it, but the best we can do is remember it and thus prevent it.

Hitler was not a fool! Without Hitler, Germany would have just fallin apart. After ww1 Germany was going in to a depression, but when Hitler got in to power he gave everyone jobs and gave the people hope. Also if there was no Hitler, then alot of thing we have today wouldnt be here.

Also if there was no Hitler, then alot of thing we have today wouldnt be here. Hitler was a man driven by a empty faith, his mind and heart corrupt with hate. A man thinking himself led by the will of God! Was in fact led by that of the devil. He did nothing for anyone in any part of time, he was a man destined to stain the earth with blood of millions of INNOCENT people.

I think all that faust was saying is that Hitler did have a small amount of good that he accomplished, before the Holocaust. He did revive Germany's economy after the reparations Germany paid for being "fully to blame" for WWI. Sadly, most of the jobs involved a growing military that eventually used military precision to execute undesired elements of society. That, and the hope was for Germany to become a military might again through conquest, which he was allowed to do.
On an odd note, Hitler was said to have collaborated to create Volkswagen.

If you read about Hitler you will learn what a hard Life he lived, Hitler fought for alot of good things. Like one was to destory communist, also Hitler made Germany build technology that no other country in the world would make untill the 1950's.

Here is a breakdown of my points.
1. Hitler was a genius. A fool would not be able to have had orchestrated his rise to power. Let alone keep a country enthralled for over 5 years.
2. Hitler was more driven by the belief in the aeryan race, which ties more into mythology and dogma then current Christian faiths.
3. Like others have pointed out by doing what he did he removed Germany from a ridiculously severe depression.
4. The holocaust not only focused on creating a superior race but was also an excuse to remove undesirables from society as well as political dissidents. Jews were not the only target, homosexuals, foreigners, people from various political views, etc.
5. The denial of the holocaust probably stems from peoples unwillingness to accept such horrific tragedies and antisemitism. After the war we basically wrenched the land where Israel is now without even asking or anything. We came in, and took it. Will tend to cause a lot of anger.
6. About the point of worshipping said God that wanted such acts. In the bible the God depicted there asked for human sacrifices as tests. It is not that much of a reach.
7. The holocaust and Hitler's rise to power could have, probably, been prevented if in the after war conventions when Germany received the full blame of the events, the council had listened to Wilson who suggested a 14 point plan that was less harsh and more preventive of another war.

Hitler may have helped Germany, but at what cost. People all around the world got affected. It helped create another world war that killed thousands of people. Millons of Jews, homesexuals, black people.....all killed just because they are different.

It is true that Hitler gave Germany a Rebirth, if you will, but honestly in his mind Hitler was mad with Greed and hatred towards any on this Earth that differed from Germany's Own. Some people say that Hitler feared nothing, i don't think they could be more wrong, Hitler was afraid of everything that was not as he was.

He led the scientific teams that invented the jet engine and the V-2 rocket. Without this guy, we couldn't have gone to the moon. Not to mention the invention of the Blitzkrieg. And don't say other people made it, because other countries didn't take thousands of miles in days.

we can't change it, but the best we can do is remember it and thus prevent it. My opinion is anti Semites dont want people feeling sorry for the jews in the present day and the president of Iran has promised to wipe Israel of the map so I guess he doesnt want people feeling sorry for them historicaly. On another note I sympatize with the Palestinians as creation of Israel drove them from there lands and homes wothout any thought fr them and still goes on today
