 Kiun flew after Marie, still mumbling to himself, "I can't believe I'm gonna be a father..." It was a nice thought, to know that soon there would be little foals running around everywhere. He sighed contentidly, and looked down to see Marie galloping below him. He spiraled down, and called out playfully, "Incoming! Duck and cover!"

Marie laughed loudly as her mate dived in. She quickly kneeled on her front feet and covered her face in the ground mockingly. Regardless of it all, she was glad she didn't have to suck in the horrid belly she had over the past few weeks, the worst part was, however, the fact she had criticized all those mares in the past over the same exact thing she was carrying now. how horrible.

Kiun laughed, and landed lightly on the ground next to Marie. Now his face grew serious, and he asked tentitivly, "Do you know when they will arrive?" He was nerveous, no doubt about that. And he added in a small voice, "What if they don't like me?" That thought made him incredibly nerveous.

Marie shook her head and looked to Kiun seriously. "They'll love you. Your like a big old kid yourself,hun." She felt a twinge of guil for saying it, but she knew he would understand what she ment.

Kiun grinned, he was like a big kid himself. Playfully, he nuzzled Marie's stomach, and said, surprised, "I can hear them moving around, and I can feel them!" Gently he placed his whole head, and jumped back, a look of shock on his face, and he said, "They-they kicked me" He glared at Marie's stomach, and said sternly, "Now kids, I'm going to have to give you a stern talking to! Its not polite to kick, punch, n**, or in any other way harm your father!" He snickered.

Marie laughed. "Perhaps they thought you were of there own kin, darling~" She said as she floped onto her side. "My legs ache already." She said softly as she wiped her hooves on the soft soil, trying to rid herself of some minor swelling. "I'm kinda....hungry." She said with a nervous chuckle and looked to kiun.

Kiun stopped, and thought for a moment, he asked tentitivly, "You're having...cravings?" He'd heard about cravings, he just hoped that Marie wouldn't want anything that he would have to either find, steal, or hurt himself to get. He snorted, and added, "Martin gave me some salve earlier cause of a sore I have on my wing. Its supposed to reduce swelling, do you want to try it? The crazy kid's always tryign to make things. The annoying part is, they usually work" He made a face.

"I think i'm craving agave..." She said with a wrinkled nose, her two-legger kept plenty of the cactus' milk in supply, but she had no idea how much she would crave it now. "I'll pass on the salve, a bit of warm water should work. or at least that is what i think should work.

Kiun nodded fervently, he didn't want anything to happen to Marie or their precious children that she was carrying. He looked around, and saw a stream nearby. He said, "If you can build a fire and get it started, I can go down to that stream over there and get some water." He raised his wings and began flying toward the stream.

Marie nodded and as he left, she finally let out her big surprise for him. three baskets of the most ornate kind. She neighed loudly as she began to deliver.
The shaman Ulisigi watched the mare as the stallion departed she grabbed her staff and approached, she tapped her staff a few times to calm the mare and then placed the clean baskets in her line of sight, she then dissapeared into the bushes to allow her to bond. She watched closely.

Kiun dipped a bucket into the stream, and lifted it out. "Geez its heavy" He grumbled, and raised his wings. He flew back to the clearing and was so surprised he dropped the bucket. Landing, he ran over to Marie and started sniffing and nuzzling her. His gaze flew to the baskets, and he gasped.
"They-They're beautiful!" Gently he brushed his nose against each one of them, feeling the foal respond inside. The normal "cool" hard look on his face broke away, and softened into a look of love and joy.

Marie began to breathe deep as she stood up and looked to the bushes. No one was there, the shaman had passed. But she was none the less grateful, she looked back to Kiun and nuzzled him and rested her head on his shoulder. "We did good..." She said softly and smelled each basket. "... I think it's time i met your herd, since i'm essentially part of your family now." She giggled and eyed the basket with a V on it. 'A true von helson...' she thought and eyed the other fine baskets aswell.

Kiun raised an eyebrow, and said, "You really want to meet Martin and Qin? Okay then. I know they're around here somewhere, I came this way with them before I met up with you" He flew up and hovered, looking about until he saw the famaliar flash of light blue. He swooped down and called, "Martin, Qin, follow me!"
Martin looked up to see Kiun flying above him, and nudged Qin. "Better go see what he wants." Together they followed Kiun back to the clearing.
Kiun cleared his throat nerveously, and said, "Martin, Qin, this is my mate, Marie. Marie, this is Martin and Kiun." He gestured towards the baskets with a wing tip, and added, "And these are our children"
Qin broke into a broad smile, and said slyly, "So this is who you've been seeing. I knew you were sneaking off to see a girl. " He turned to Maire and dipped his head politely, "Its a pleasure to meet you, welcome to the family."
Martin, however, was more interested in the baskets. He bent down and sniffed each one curiously, and asked, "Was I really ever small enough to fit in one of those?"

Marie bowed her head and picked some dirt out her hair. "Pleasure to meet you. Qin." She looked to Martin for a second, tempted to scold him for getting close to her baskets, but decided she wasn't going to, since he was only curious. "You have a lovely family, kiun." Marie nipped at his mane and nuzzled him again.

Kiun grinned, a little emberrased. He wouldn't describe his herd as loving...more odd than anything else. After all, Martin got high off of peanut butter, and Qin was a little eery. He cleared his throat and said, "Oh, well, yeah, I guess you could call them that." He grinned and nuzzled Marie back, and murmured, "Our children are beautiful."
Qin nudged Martin, and Martin looked up incrediously, Qin nudged him again and gestured towards Kiun and Marie. Martin's mouth formed an Oooh, shape, and together the two slipped back into the woods, Martin calling over his shoulder, "I'm gonna babysit!"
Kiun's eye started twitching at the thought of Martin babysitting his children.
