What do you all listen to while drawing?
I listen to weird stuff, the more drama I can find in a song the better. I'm into non-lyrical stuff lately, and music with a mix of classical insturments and a hip-hop/electronica beat. So here's what I've been listening to as I draw:
> We Took Pelham by Deep Red > Plague Burial by Teargas & Plateglass > Clubbed to Death by Rob Dougan > Mona Lisa Overdrive by Juno Reactor > Navras by Juno Reactor > Wardogs by Juno Reactor > Transition by DJ Krush > Time's Scar by Yoshitaka Hirota > Book of Black Valentines by Teargas & Plateglass > Go for Mine by Rob the Viking > Let my Record Rotate by Rob the Viking > Kyur 4th Ich by Linkin Park (feat. others...) > In Search of Pimpmobile by Deep Red > Seduction of Canned Laughter by Teargas & Plateglass
By the by, Plague Burial is totally the only song that has made me want to dance, which is weird because it's really slow. But I turn it on and I'm like, dancing in my seat. It will most definitely be my wedding song >_>;

In heavy rotation:
Velocifero, Ladytron
Witching Hour, Ladytron
Citrus, Asobe Seksu
No Wow, The Kills
Crystal Castles, Crystal Castles
Hearts & Unicorns, Giant Drag
In moderate rotation:
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars
Keep on Your Mean Side, The Kills
Midnight Boom, The Kills
We Sing of Only Blood or Love, Dax Riggs
Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, Spoon
Rubber Factory, The Black Keys
Turn on the Bright Lights, Interpol
That's more or less the current batch of albums; a couple months ago it was loads of Bowie, T.Rex, The Clash, Louis XIV, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Goldfrapp, and the Velvet Goldmine soundtrack, so it can change given the mood and even the type of piece I'm doing.
And I tend to listen to Velvet Underground when I'm outside smoking, so I guess that doesn't count.
wink

omfg! I'm so happy I'm not the only one who listens to Teargas & Plateglass! <3 I listen to either ambient vocal trance, Downtempo themes, or music ranging from Vast to Chungking to Esthero to Goldfrapp.
Current favorite playlist - Thievery Corporation/Teargas & Plateglass/Amon Tobin/Apparat/Bond/Boards of Canada/Bonobo/The Cinematic Orchestra/E.S. Posthumus/Cyril Morin/Erotic Lounge/Massive Attack/Nujabes/Niyaz/Portishead/Goldfrapp
I'd put the rest of the music I love on the list but then it's be overkill. xD
