Suikoden 2
Released: 1999
Story: The story begins 3 years after suikoden 1 with you as Riou a young boy who lives with his sister and no parents in a Monk's Temple. Jowy Atreides is his friend and they both start out as members in the youth division of the Highland Army. Luc Blight is prince of Highland and Captain Rowd is the commanding officer of the youths division. Rowd orders a slaughter for the youths and Jowy and Riou manage to survive together. After noticeing that the two had survived and are witnesses to what he did; the army blames them for the slaughter and say the two boys plotted it. The slaughter was a plot to blame it on a neighbor kingdom starting a war. The two boys then split up for a while.
They both find the True rune and both wield one side to it. Since theres a Dark and Light rune.
The later meet again after riou is fished from teh river (after they escape by jumping off a cliff into the water). Jowy is rescued by a girl names Pilika. After their hometown is burned down by the Prince they then fight against the prince.
During a spy mission, Jowy is seemingly caught by Blight’s army. Later, it is discovered that he has defected to Blight’s army. Riou, his sister Nanami, Pilika, and the mercenaries establish a base in the town of Northwindow, where they begin to build up their forces, ultimately gaining enough strength to challenge Blight’s Highland armies. Gaining the 108 stars (since now Riou wields the Runes).
GamePlay: Same as Suikoden 1 but the graphics have improved greatly. New characters are added while older characters are still around just older which was a shock. sweatdrop
(If you also have a save from the first game with all 108 characters you can also recruit Tir in this game).
Fighting is random battles and its an RPG game. You get to wonder around and recruit many charcters, create a castle, and build an army while exploring mini events as well.
Audio: Music is again wonderful for the game and battle. Plus it matches wonderfully. Here are some midi from vgmusic.com! A wonderful site for game midi!

The series is created as splendid! It's exciting have so many characters and being able to create a castle and recruit people building your power. Traveling is great and its a wide world. Plus the story is amazing and wonderful that kept you going.
