On a cloudy afternoon, Princess Pocket Lint was curled up in ball in the tall, grassy flatlands. She wasn't doing much, just watching the grass sway with the cold wind. Deciding to stretch out her legs, she got up from her comfortable position and stood up on her hooves. She looked around, wondering what she could do. She seldomly saw her parents or siblings anymore, which kind of made her sad. Her face contorted to look a bit more determined. But, at least she could learn to be more brave if she was out by herself.

Asami's tan ears flicked about as she trotted along. Her parents were too busy with her brothers to notice she was missing. She wouldn't be out too long. Of course, the filly might get caught up with something and completely forget about her family being worried. Most of her family, except her brother who looked almost like her twin, would be worried. Maybe she'd run into someone to play a game with. Maybe someone to play fight with. She loved to play fight with Iyami. Her blue eyes scanned the area. Other girls were boring to Asami, maybe she'd meet a colt to jump in the mud with.

Pocket Lint didn't realize another foal had come into the area. Her ears flickered about, as she looked around at the grass. She could use a little snack. Bending down to sniff at some grass, her lips tried to grip some grass and rip it off the stem. One she got a strand, she sucked it up like spagetti. Nibbling on it, she glanced around, her pale blue eyes scanning the area. Her eyes settled on the larger foal. Ducking down a bit, she tried to stay out of view by lowering herself to the ground. Unfortunately, she made a distinct shuffing sound that would give out her place in the grass.

The tan filly's ear flicked towards the grass where the other filly was hidding. A purple muzzle was what gave the other away. The slghtest bit of a head tilt was seen from Asami as she headed towards the other foal. When she reached a few feet in front of the other, she plopped down in the grass. "What are we hiding from?" This game seemed fun, laying on the dirt, getting her pale pelt as dirty as possible. The bows in her mane were slowly becoming knots from Asami jumping around and playing with her brothers.

Pocket Lint saw a foal appear in front of her and flinched back with fear. Her eyes clenched closed as she put her front hooves over her face in hope that it would hide her more. Her body was shaking in fear of being found by a stranger, even if she was trying to be friendly.

Asami's head tilted and she turned her head around to see if something scary was behind her. Hm... no, nothing behind her. The filly watched the other for a second. "You okay?" Asami asked, lowering her head so that it hit the ground. All she wanted to do was possibly play a game... though this foal seemed too fragile.

Pocket Lint slowly peeked out from behind her hooves and saw the foal looking back at her. Her body was still shaking from her nervousness. She sat back up and tried to sit as far away from the foal as she can. Her ears were flicked back as she gulped, not trusting her just yet.

Asami found this filly really interesting. Not yet had she found another foal this small. She kept a close eye on the other's movements, curious to see how she moved around with such short legs. The markings on the other filly also were interesting to Asami. Lately, markings didn't surprise her too much anymore. Her family looked all the same, except her parents had clothes. Her other friend looked like a skeleton, most would be afraid of him, but Asami liked his markings.

Pocket Lint was wondering why the foal was staring at her so. It made her insecure. The foal got up on her hooves. Her head was lowered as she walked backwards, trying to get away from the foal. She was freaking her out! It was bad enough she couldn't talk to make it less awkward for her.

Asami's shoulders shrugged at the little one. She obviously didn't want company. The tan filly decided to stay right where she was, laying on the ground. There weren't many others out, so she might as well have this little bit of company with this greenish filly. Her blue eyes looked around at other things now.

Seeing as she wasn't drawing attention from the other filly, she tried to look as small as possible and tried her best not to draw attention from her. She glanced away from her as well, but made frequent insecure glances back to the filly. She moved to continue eatting, using her lips to tear off grass and nibble it up almost like a person would eat spagetti.

Asami decided to keep looking away from the other filly. All Asami wanted was a friend. Fillies were harder to make friends with then colts. A sigh came from Asami as she glanced at the other filly and how she ate grass. Quietly, Asami bent her head down and nibbled on some grass, slurping it up as the other had done. Not yet had Asami noticed that the other's mouth was sewn shut.

(( I have to change Pocket's personality a bit since I'm not allowed to say that her mouth has been sewn shut. @3@; So, she's going to have a condition call "selective mutism" ))
Pocket Lint blinked, seeing the other filly mimicking her eating habits. She frowned slightly, and moved to have her back to the filly. The usdia filly decided to keep on eating, her lips moving to rip the grass out before sucking it like spagetti. She didn't know why she ate it like this. It was a waste of energy to chew one blade of grass at a time, but she was fickle like that.

Asami's head tilted a little as she watched the other filly turn away. She shrugged her shoulders slightly as she finished her little bit of grass. Slowly, she stood up while watching the other. Her orange tail flicked a little as she watched the other filly for a second.

Picket Lint was trying to distract herself with eating grass, but her mind would wander off to the foal behind her. Her pale blue eyes would glance back frequently. She bent down to take another blade of grass into her mouth. She stopped mid-bite, her eyes going cross-eyed looking at the blade of grass. What she saw was a large spider on the blade of grass, spindling a web off the tip. Her face turned pale as she made a sound close to an "eek". She was scooting back away from the spider, afraid it would attack her. @3@
