Dia was, quite frankly, lost.

Well. Turned around, she'd insist, if she'd been asked.

But she'd been startled by a rabbit breaking from the underbrush and she'd bolted through the forest and ended up in this clearing and she wasn't particularly sure which direction led home.

So when she happened across a stallion, she picked up the pace a little and hurried toward him, certain he'd be able to help. "Hello. Hello? Excuse me!"

Cualtzin found himself once again in a clearing with a ton of flowers. Lovely shades of white, yellow, and pinks. Though they weren't big. They were tiny wild flowers. He needed to pick some. His daughter was about to give birth sometime soon, and he wanted to make sure she got some pretty flowers. Though, the hard part would be carring them. He didn't want to eat them, yet didn't know if he could get his two-legger to help him. He probably could. Though there was always Haidar too. Make him pick them and carry them. He always did things gently. "Hey... Haidar?" he said looking around his feet for his friend.

Haidar popped out of some tall grass he had been laying in. It was rather boring sitting here watching his friend, Cualtzin wallow in the flowers. He did it alot. But who could blame him? he had flowers all over his hair and stuff. "What?" He answered back rather dully. Hopefully it was them about to go home.

"Would you mind grabbing some of these flowers for Autumn?" He asked kindly to his husky wolf friend. He flicked his curled black, and multicolored tail. Though, soon after he asked Haidar to do that, he heard a voice behind him. It made him and haidar turn quickly. To his surprise it was a female. "Why hello there!" he said happily. He hadn't seen other out of his family for a while. He'd been too depressed to go anywhere. Not having seen his mate in a long time.

Dia had never seen a stallion with that many flowers in his mane. She'd been about to ask for directions but the sight simply stunned her into staring. At least her mouth wasn't open. That would have been embarrassing. This was just. Silence for a moment or two.

Then she shook herself, blinked a few times and looked as cheerful as she could, for both their sakes, the stallion and his companion. "Hello," she said again, stepping closer. "You look very festive, don't you?"

Cualtzin didn't know it had been silence for them. His excitement had always covered the noticing of others being stunned, or anything really. He was just a very cheerful, happy-go lucky type of guy. For the most part. If he was alone, he wouldn't be happy, but with others, he was super happy. He looked down at Haidar who was now sort of hiding and growling a bit. He didn't like others at all. "Oh? I do?" He didn't realize that he looked anything but normal.

Haidar growled more, but almost too low for anyone to hear him. He didn't want to be mean, but he was anyways. He was scared of everyone but Caultzin and his family. In being so, he let off a growl incase they decided to get closer. Not like he'd bite them, but he could try to make them think he would.

"Well, with the flowers and all," she explained. "Either you've been--"

Haidar's growling distracted her and her attention shifted down to him. On the one hoof, he was a predator and as such, counted as a threat. On the other, he wasn't very big and friend or not, there was a stallion here as well. So she huffed a bit and stamped a forehoof. "Oh stop it," she told him. "I'm not coming near you."

That said, she tossed her mane and looked at Cualtzin again. "The flowers," she repeated. "Either you've had a good roll, or someone's been putting them in your mane."

Haidar just growled louder as the female stomped and told him to shut up. Like he was going to let her tell him want to do. His hair on his back was sticking up and ears back. Teeth bared. Of course, he was completely harmless.

Cualtzin just smacked him with his tail and smiled at her. "Oh... Don't worry about him, he's a chicken." He said with a laugh. Not really meaning to make fun of him, but it was the truth. He then gave Haidar a very nastly look, well as nasty of a look that Cualtzin could do. Which wasn't really nasty, but rather funny looking. He never did good with mean faces. "oh? no my mate liked them in my hair, so I have my two-legger put them in every week or so" he said with a smile, though it almost faded thinking about Tally, and her absence. "Oh! Silly of me. I'm Cualtzin!" He said as he almost forgot to introduce himself.

And Dia just wasn't backing down. If Haidar had been bigger, or if it'd just been the two of them, she might have let a little fear slip. As it was, Cualtzin earned points in his favor for the tail swat. Not that she'd let on to that either.

Oh, it was for his mate. Interesting. "You must take very good care of your mate if you'll stand still long enough to wait for that," she opined, and added, "They look very nice." Because they did. She just hadn't seen a stallion adorned that way before. "My two-leg calls me something long and very complicated. You can call me Dia. That will do."

He laughed. "Well, I don't hate it when flowers are put in my hair, if that's what you mean." He said not paying attention to the now silent Haidar. He'll be nicer, hopefully. "It doesn't take too long, really, but I wouldn't know I'm normally asleep when she does it." Or rather he falls asleep the moment she starts working on it. " Nice to meet you Dia." He never knew any name could be long and complicated, but he didn't ask about it.

Haidar hutched down and just glared at the female. His tail would flick here and there, but other then that, he didn't move. Just watched from here he was. He didn't know why Cualtzin was so nice. He'd get hurt one of these days from it.

Once Haidar was quiet, Dia handily forgot him. "I had a ribbon in my mane once," Dia supplied. "It was fine once it was finished, but the pulling..." She stuck her tongue out a bit. "Maybe flowers are easier." She couldn't imagine falling asleep while having it done, but she didn't suspect it would happen any time soon, either, so she wasn't worried. And then, realizing that she hadn't said so, she added, "They are pretty flowers." Oh, and: "It's nice to meet you too. It's always nice to meet someone friendly."

"Oh? I don't think I could put that in my hair. I get mistaken for a girl enough as it is!" He laughed. Of course, he didn't look like a mare even with them in, but it was still a funny concept. He flicked his curled tail again. "Sounds like a bow would hurt. And flowers don't. She just uses a type of clip I think... I mean they don't fall out. " He stood back and shook his head. Almost stepping on poor Haidar who moved just in time. He was use to being almost stepped on.

Hivar just gave a dirty look at Cualtzin and sat a bit father away. Cualtzin looked at her like she said something horrifying. "Isn't everyone nice?" He had only met nice soquilis, no one mean at all. Though he'd never run into a Kalona or skinwalker.

Dia laughed. "You don't look like a mare to me, flowers or not," she promised. She could tell the difference. It couldn't be that hard if attention was paid.

"Oh no," she answered, shaking her head. "There are some very rude Soquili. It's all right. I don't linger long, but no, not everyone is nice. If you've only met the nice ones, you're very lucky."

Well, it was a good thing she didn't think he was a female. It wasn't like he got called it by adults anyways. Mostly kids, but that was ok. He understood them more then adults anyways. Even if some of them thought he was too old to act like a kid. But he really wasn't. "oh! That's good. He nodded with a chuckle"

He was slightly taken aback about that. Why in the would would anyone want to be mean? He gave her a shocked face, but it didn't last long. "Well at least one soquili you met was nice, so that's gotta be good." Though he wished she'd met more nice ones. It was so sad thinking about mean soquili out there.

"I'm very glad to have met a nice Soquili," she agreed with a little smile. "And I'm sure I'll meet more. I'm determined to, as a matter of fact. One unhappy little mare isn't everyone."

She had called out to him for a reason, though, and it wasn't to admire his flowers. "Now then. Are you any good at directions?"

He liked how she was determined to find others such as them. Happy, and pleasant. There was so many that he knew, but he hadn't seen them in a while. For, he really hadn't gotten out much at all. He flicked his curled tail. "Yes, I'm sure there are many." He repeated again. Everyone he met was so kind to him, though he really wouldn't know if others were mean.

"Oh. I'm ok I guess." He really didn't know. He knew where west and east was cause of the sun, and that his two legger tried telling him about it. Though, he really couldn't say that he didn't know, for she couldn't understand him like he could her. "That way is east" He pointed in front of them. "That way is west." He said tilting his head back as if pointing behind him. "But I can't remember which way is south or north if I needed to know for the life of me" He said with a chuckle.

"East. And west," she echoed, tipping her ears in those directions, turning her head a bit. Right. "Eaaast and weeeest." She was thinking about these directions, trying to puzzle out which ways she'd turned as she ran. Not to the west. She thought. But wait, she must have gone west at some point. She couldn't have missed that direction entirely.

She sighed and tossed her head a little. "I mostly get around by learning which trees are the tallest and where the big rocks are, but I got ...confused." She wasn't going to admit to scared. "And all turned around. Hnf. East and west..."
