For the morning portion of the day Malice had taken Fachtna out for a bloody stroll, only for them to return delightfully with the feeling of full stomachs. Her son had an intense fascination with hunting, and she was impressed by his eagerness to kill. What worried her was that he was too reckless, and he was constantly maneuvering himself in crazy ways! "Now remember, you have a body to take care of, and it doesn't involve just your stomach." As her son's purple eyes met hers, she grinned sheepishly before allowing him to follow her back to their territory once again. "I hope you learned some more information today, and that you realize how badly the wounded stallion deserved everything he had coming to him." Nature ran its course, and a Kalona mother and son got very lucky in their choice of dinning. "Its just another lesson for why we Kalonas keep this land pure, since that stallion had no permission to be sitting around our area like that." Pft, it was dreadful enough that he was babbling about why he was so strong and worthwhile as a wind, or something. Ironically enough, it was his wings that were initially broken! She was glad her son could help finish his pathetic life, since he was as worthless as a bird who couldn't fly. "You did good today, Fachtna." She could see the immense color of her father reflecting off of Fachtna's body, and that was another reason why she enjoyed watching his growth so much.
Fachtna usually didn't listen when others talked to him, but he knew when it was his mother or father that it was time to listen for some reason. He was thankful to his mother, since the morning had been everything he had hoped for. His mother's skill was beyond his abilities, and he watched her more then he had ever before! He was always striving to be his father, since Toku was ferocious even in a calm position. But his mother.. where had such a performance come from? Her body moved at speeds he had never imagined before, and her fangs were larger then life! She always seemed so preoccupied with him and his sisters, so he never imagined her as a crazy-fighter. Apparently he had a lot to learn, even from her. "Yes I know. And I am glad he deserved it." with a pause, he then cast his eyes on his mother's dark figure once again. He did good. His mother did let him finish the last blow, and that is probably why she was concerned with his reckless performance. But in the end, he knew he did good. He killed the sucker in one wonderful blow. "I'll keep doing better for you, and keep making you proud." And he would, with no hesitation.

Toku meanwhile lead the girls for the day, his trip was on the less eventful side, it seemed in his patrolling of the area that he would not be the one to happen on the foolish wind that Malice and their son had the joy of finding. Instead him and the girls checked the area, slaughtered a meal and continued on back to the family clearing, which had actually moved to a small cave now not far off from the original clearing.
"Now just because we didn't find any one today dosen't mean you get to take it out on each other!" he said with a snarl as the two continued on. Mace as usual was trying to scrap with everything.
The squirrel? Spine snapped, the rabbit? It was crushed in jaws of rage, the rat? Stomped to death. And she still wasn't happy, she wanted to fight, she wanted to have some challenge and fun! So where better then her sister? As they walked Mace would snap and n** at her sibling eaging her on to start a fight of some sort. "Oh come on I just wana have some FUN jeez..."

Dull. Dull, dull, dull, dull, dull! How excited she'd been at the thought of getting to finally go out with her father to hunt and make sure nobody unwanted was in their territory! She'd been expecting thrills and dangers and blood! Oh, they'd eaten and she'd enjoyed that very much, but Theia was horribly disappointed that they hadn't found a Soquili to take on like her mother and father had so often told her about. Theia trotted after her father, her spaded tail snapping to and fro at the air to better display her bad mood to the world. Of course, Mace chomping at her face hardly helped anything, but Theia was in the mood to at least be distracted.
Soft, throaty snarls of her own would answer her sibling while she bore her own sharp fangs, butting her head into the other's shoulder playfully. Yes, Mace was fun to play with even if they bickered a lot--she flapped her immature wings as though unconsciously trying to make herself bigger. "I wonder if Mom and Fachtna found anything..." She muttered with an irritable stomp of her foot, shouldering closer to her sister to try and knock her askew. Her ears flickered to catch Toku's words before she snorted and gave herself a small shake. "We're just playing! I'll stop before Mace gets too beat up..." She flashed a toothy sneer at her sister, waggling her head tauntingly.

Malice and Fachtna had arrived to their main living area first, but within seconds Malice could already tell that Toku was not far behind with the girls. "They should be here shortly." she then said, while looking silently back at her son. She and Fachtna did not exchange many words together, but it was pleasant when they did. Since the girls enjoyed her attention more, she was constantly catering to them and always answering their questions. But now, she had spent some quality time with her son, and she walked away both impressed and relieved. At least they had developed some sort of bonding or relationship together."We'll do this again soon, since I'd like that." She then shuffled a few steps in front of her son when Toku marched into their clearing. "Any luck?"
Fachtna was sad to be returning back so soon, but he perked up when his mother requested that they kill some other creatures again. He wondered what other skills she had up her sleeve, and what else they could kill together! He also perked up when he noticed his father's return, but tried to remained calm and composed next to his mother's body. He was still working on ignoring most of his emotions, since he didn't find them necessary in succession. It was obvious to see how young he still was, since he struggled to hide his eagerness or excitement.

Toku shook his head with a sigh, the girls were always 'playing' and sometimes he swore the playing would be the death of them one day. Then again, they were strong Kalona children, and while they might call it playing, it was conditioning them to do far more terrible things to the fools who would wander into their territory.
"You're mother and brother are just ahead, we'll know soon enough.
With each snarl from her sister Mace would return it with one just a margin louder, always trying to out do one another, to prove who was better to Malice and Toku. One of them would be the next Malice, at least that was Mace's thought. "We mighta found something if you wasn't so loud stompin' round in the woods..." She stumbled slightly as her sister butted her and returned the favor just as quickly. "You? Beat me? Only in your dreams!"
"Or maybe I'll beat you both if you don't stop fighting, you've been at it all day now give it a rest so we can all talk in peace with out you two starting a fight." Of course he said this all with a good chuckle, the two would probably end up fighting anyway.

Hah! For some reason, it irked her to think that Fachtna possibly did better than she had. Well, that was natural--she wanted to be the best! Mace could be the next Malice for all she cared! That wasn't to say that Theia didn't respect her mother and father more than anyone else, but she wanted to surpass them! She wanted to be the best Kalona there ever was! Her wings stretched faintly as she snapped at Mace's throat, not intending to actually bite her. This was just play, even if their father disapproved!
"I can and will, so don't get too cocky!" She grinned, growling while trying fasten her jaws around one of her sister's horns to give it a good shake. Toku's words finally convinced her to let go, but not before smirking at them both. She trotted up ahead instead to see her mother and brother--casting a pointed look back at Mace. She wasn't just gonna sit and let Fachtna go unbothered, was she?
Her teeth snapped playfully at her brother's black-tufted mane as she bumped him with her shoulder, craning her neck up to peer at Malice. "Nothing interesting." She wrinkled her nose with disgust before peering intently at Fachtna. "Did you?"

Malice only chuckled as she noticed Toku's words with the girls, and she shook her head lightly as his eyes met with hers once again. "Well well, it looks like your situation has been full of energy. Have you girls been taking care of father?" The girls were always so fiesty and lively, and it reminded her of her own memories with her two sisters. "I'm sorry if there wasn't much luck for you all. Fachtna and I had quite a morning, so we are nice and stuffed, and a bit exhausted." She didn't think about her words much, and she wondered if she was rubbing their lack of fun in or something. "But it looks like you all managed to have fun at least. What game are you girls playing?" And why was it driving Toku crazy?
Fachtna didn't move as his sister continued to touch him, and he only rolled his eyes in her direction before letting out any words. What was it with his two sisters? They were always so loud.. and strange... "We killed a lot, so it was a success."
There seemed to be a quick silence after Fachtna spoke, since everyone was just staring at him for the moment. It didn't bother him really, since his eyes were already forward and off in their own world shortly after. His attitude was his own, but he rather liked it. Everything was more simple, since he could just kill and be happy. He did glide his eyes over to his father, and he only nodded at him before lowering them once again.
"Your brother was very impressive." Malice then said, while dragging her nose on Theia's mane. "You and will sister will have the same kind of excitement sometime, it all comes with practice and skill."

Mace was of course going to be the next Malice because Malice was the best and to out do her you had to be her! Theia would never be able to do that obviously, and her brother, well, she guessed he would be SOME competition. She gave a slight whine hopping back from her sisters bite before hopping forward to head butt her fore shoulder again.
She hissed again as her sister got a hold of her horn and squirmed about till they finally broke free when Theia headed over to mother. At once she hurried over to join her mother nuzzling up at her side, "Hi mom," she said plainly but for her it was the kindest thing she could do, shooting death glares at Fachtna for getting all the fun.
"They didn't worry about me at all, too busy chasing and hunting, and bickering with each other." He glances at the two shaking his head with a smile, "I wonder if their going to hurt each other more then their first real fight." He chuckled, "A game of 'who can beat the other more' I don't know, but they won't stop trying."

Theia listened carefully to the words of both her mother and brother, resisting the urge to sulk a little while carefully fluttering her wings. So they HAD managed to get something better than a stupid old deer. Well, that was all right... She made a contented sound as her mother ruffled through her mane and eyed Fachtna carefully through one, slitted eye. He did good? Good enough for Mom to praise him, anyway. "It'll be better next time." She muttered to herself, refusing to dwell on the negative. That was no way to think if she wanted to win!
"Was it good?" She demanded to know from her brother, ignoring Mace to better extract these little details. "Did it scream lots? Was it as bloody as a deer?" Oh, she knew her brother didn't like to talk so much, but this was important. Besides! He might like talking about killing better than anything else she usually made a point of asking him.

Fachtna was quietly watching his father until Theia had addressed something to him. He slowly shifted his gaze at her, before thinking slightly at her question. "It always screams, and the blood overflowed much more then I'm used to. Because it was a stallion who was screaming it was more hilarious to watch." What a pitiful creature it was, and the lack of pride that it carried made Fachtna more glad he and his mother had killed the thing. To think a stallion would scream? He should have accepted his death happily, since his mother had cast the correct punishment on him. "The blood wouldn't stop.. I've never killed some of the bigger and better things out there, and I can't wait to see what more I can find." Animals were game for him and his siblings, and it was time they got serious in what they would dispose of for nature.
Malice wasn't sure where the competition game was coming from, and she looked at her children with a light snort before shaking her head. She then made her way over next to Toku, and decided to just watch them as he was. "Do you think its alright that they fight around like this?" she then asked, since her sibling interacting was slightly different. "I wonder if they need more discipline or something.. or if we should let them do as they wish." All three of their children had unique personalities, and Malice didn't want to change that. Besides, competition was a good thing, right? Hopefully she was doing this parenting thing correctly, and they were teaching them the essentials of being strong willed Kalonas. She just hoped the children were taking in their lessons, and wanting to be everything she and Toku would describe.

"Of course it's more blood... thats like asking if a squirrel bleeds as much as a buck. The bigger it is the more it bleeds and the louder it screams." She snorted at her sisters foolish question, she should know very well it would have been more! Finding her siblings discussion boring and infuriating since it was not her bragging she made her way to Toku and Malice taking a spot beside her mother stomping at the grass and dirt to pass the time.
"So long as they don't kill each other... and it's nothing too serious, their just kids still... but if they keep it up too long." he growled quietly, "Then we will put a stop to it and show them what will happen if they betray each other for real or any one else in the family." He stopped briefly, "You're parents still don't know yet do they?"

A stallion! The filly opened her eyes wide for a moment before they narrowed, mere gleaming slits of envy that quickly scrutinized her brother. So calm--practically lifeless, as always. He didn't make to rub the salt in metaphorical wounds as her sister would have done, but something about his acceptance made her tail lash a little harder with a slew of negative emotions. "Huh. I would have played with him, first." Came the mutter under her breath, and small hooves shifted idly. She didn't even act as though Mace had spoken to her for a moment, eventually sneering and rolling her head in her direction. "A buck and a stallion are almost the same size! And seeing as you have no experience, I thought I'd ask someone reliable."
Flexing her small wings, Theia gave her head another toss and eyed the outskirts of the forest with longing. To hunt down something so much bigger... "How hard is it to hunt down a full-grown lesser by ourselves?" She persisted, spinning to face both mother and father. Heck... []maybe she'd even work together with Mace if it meant getting their first kill!

Malice flinched slightly at Toku's question, though shrugged the thought off quickly after. "No, they don't. But one of my sister's knows. She was actually pleased, and impressed. So I'm really not worried anymore." Her sister was always very supportive and Malice truthfully felt better after speaking so comfortably to her sibling. "I like if the children could meet their family members some time." she paused then, and then looked at all three of her marvelous children. Each had something different then the other, but they still carried the gruesome colors that everyone in the family shared. "Its so hard to run into everyone, but I hope especially as the three of you grow, that you all search for your family ties."
Fachtna didn't quite understand why his sisters were so grumpy towards him, and he only stared at Theia's strange comment before pondering a response. Truthfully, he didn't want to say anything to his sisters. They exhausted him, and he felt drained every time he spoke. But it was good social practice, and his mother had explained that to him. "Everyone kills differently. That's what makes hunting a sport for all." his gaze was quickly interrupted by his mother's words, and he felt some interest in finding some of the family he carried. Especially if that included more males, since he was constantly surrounded by his sisters!
