Please do not post unless asked by Mintaka, Rein_Carnation, or Caitlyn Hellstorm - thanks! ((Involved: Mintaka w/ Zikeria, Rein_Carnation w/ Cocomo, and Caitlyn Hellstorm w/ Covetina (added on page 1 2/3rds down approx.))) Zikeria glided through the sky, letting the wind play with her hair and the sun dance across her coat as she enjoyed the sensation. It was always freeing and exhilerating to soar, to get away from things and free one's self - mind and body - from one's concerns.
Of course, one had to stay at least somewhat rooted to the ground and she spiraled down lazily towards the grownd now to take a drink and think about things some more. Like her brother, who ha been touch and go since he found someone. She was, to say the least, a little jealous. Certainly she might find someone, and have some kids of her own one day, right? Right?
She sighed wistfully as she landed, almost with a thud and a slight splash as she quit flight a few inches too high and partly voer the water. "Meh, I'm getting distracted," she mumbled, shaking her head.

At first he was sure that red soquili from a distance was his father as his wings carried him freely in the ocean he swam within of cool air. He was of course looking for the large parrot stallion to sing of his recent adventures... mainly that cute little flutter he was gaga over.
Coming in closer he finally realized he was a she... for obvious reasons of course. But boy did she look like Zaribe. His eyes nearly bugged with curiosity and an air of silliness as he landed with a direct motion to the ground. What could it hurt to say hello anyways to one that carried excellent taste in her feathers and coloring.
"Heyas... Nice day huh?" he announced nearing where she stood. Raising his wings upwards in greeting like his father he was out to impress her just because he could.

Zikeria perked as she heard the approach of another, lifting her head to the sky to watch this one land aside her and speak. She blikned a few times, taking this all in. His colors were akkin to ehr brothers yet very much more colorful...
But those wings, the posture and everything. There was too much alike to her brother it was uncanny. Could this be one of his kids he was always bragging about? Oh it could be, and might explain the sudden appearance and all.
"Why yes," she said plesantly, "it is quite a nice day. A nice enough day to dwell on many things after a good flight." Her eyes glittered with a sense of mischief as she looked at him. "What brings you to these parts?"

After a bit of the airing of the wings, the young stallion neatly folded them not caring one of the feathers was broken and dangling there. Course if it was his father he would have plucked them out and looked like a bald chicken by now. But, in a sense Cocomo did carry some of his mother's traits at least.
Why does she look like dad?
He titled his head looking cross eyed at the mare that was a parrot and thought really hard. He probably looked quite odd to her really because in addition to his odd display, his tongue was sticking out. Such an interesting first impression for anyone to see, but alas this was the son of Zaribe after all.
He paused sucking back in his tongue as he moved his maw in a circular motion, " Just exploring really. Hur hur such pretty ladies out this week." He winked at this parrot with perfect feathers as he tossed his head. He literally was chucking to himself as he stuck his tongue back out.
He pulled a look of playfulness into him as he watched her intently, "Say why you colored like my dad? I thought he was the... crap what was it?" he paused shaking his head trying to remember what Zaribe always called himself.

Zikeria almost considered smacking a wing to her forehead a moment in exaggerated reaction to the sheer.... oh there wasn't a word invented for this one. It definitely ahd to be related to Zaribe, considering that last question and... well, the rather ... odd, yes... odd nature about this one. He was certainly 'special' - although Zikeria was still trying to figure out what made him so special. She didn't recall ehr brother standing there sticking his tongue out while staring though, so that definitely was unique in this case. And odd. Odd was the word of the day today.
She set a bemsued expression on her face as she watched him for a moment, flicking ehr wing. She wondered if her darling brother had forgotten to mention his dearly beloved sister to his kids, or if this one was just that unique. She'd have to talk to him later about that. And maybe pluck a few feathers or some hair maybe if he did.
"Well, as far as I know, the only other one who looks like me in these parts would be... say.... my brother?" She almost chirped the last part, fluttering into the air a moment with a grweat sweep of the wings before landing again and trotting around the other. "You see, we came from some place different, and got sperated awhile, and then we found one another again, but he's been... busy, yes... busy is a good word for this. But see, we were twins, alike in looks, but maybe not so much in mind." She made a clicking noise, finishing her circle around him and flicking her wings in the oh so familiar way Zaribe did - she only learned it to mock him on occasions, of course.
"You wouldn't happen to know him, would you?" Her tone was teasing more then anything, playful and light as she was completely amused by this situation. She wasn't trying to be mean - not to him, anyway, but might want to to Zaribe if he forgot to mention 'auntie Zikeria' to them ... but hey - it was better then rolling on the ground laughing at him without saying anything, either.

He stood there his tongue firmly sticking out as he listened to this strange mare speak. He wasn't comprehending what she was saying all together, but that was okay. She was actually quite funny and willing to talk with him, making the bright adult colt chuckle with glee.
Wait did she say her brother? His mind was wandering as he tried to remember his dad and those grand tales.
"Oh I remember now... Zaribe the great of the jungle! Ha I knew I'd remember if I thought long enough." He stood there laughing in his accomplishment as his deep eyes flicked back to the mare that looked like his dad.
Did dad ever say he had a sibling... Think Cocomo think.
As she moved around him things were looking more recognizable now. Her words were settling within him like an old illustrated picture book. Everything she spoke of his dad had sung aloud to the family on days that seemed to never end. Raising his wings upward her shook his head as the necklace charms jingled in response.
"Ya know your past sounds like dad's... but I can't for the life of me think who you are. I know he said he had a sister or something... should of paid more attention I guess." He continued to look at her his wings still extended as a few stray feathers hung listless and broken. He couldn't remember her name but he knew her. This he was sure of as his father's great stories replayed in his head like an old movie reel.

She blinked, blinked again, and held back laughter. Yeah, he was his father's son - and then some. She trooted over and plucked one errant feather free, annoyed at it just hanging there off his wing as it sat there half-dead and lifelessly pitiful.
"Yes, I would be your father's sister, Zikeria," she said, returning to a spot in front of him to look him over. "That would make me your aunt." She wondered if she wanted to continue admitting that if he got too airheaded. And... Zaribe the great of the jungle? What? She'd have to go deflate Zaribe's ego again, that was for sure.
"He'd told me he'd had kids, I just never had a chance to drop by - mostly since he forgot to tell me where to go, methinks." She was admittedly forgetful, but then, she hadn't overly pressed on a family meeting either out of respect - well, what she had for her brother, anyway.
She hoped maybe repetition would get it stuck in his brain, but she wasn't going to hold her breath. This one certainly took all of Zaribe's flightiness, that's for sure. She wondered fi the other kid was more down to earth or not - but that'd be another day.

His eyes followed the mare as she plucked a loose feather. It took him a little, well a minute or so to register just what she did. Then he remembered his father and how darn "picky" he was about his feathers. Cocomo though wasn't into the whole feather picking routine so his generally were a little unkempt compared to Zaribes's own plumage.
"Whoa! you're the auntie then! I know we joked around about dad's rival Rahu... but you're dad's sister! Oh that is so cool!" he tossed his head as the necklace jingled in quite a chipper manner. Then there was the thought of him and family, it seemed everyone was so out of touch these days lately- well it seemed that way.
"Well you're family so you can be the first to know right?" he chirped with a bob of his head, "I have a mate auntie Zikeria." It was rather sudden but seeing she was his close family she had a right to know, right? Well then this was his perfect excuse as he stood so proud that he had told her the great news. It also meant if he had kids then this would be great auntie Zikeria eventually- oh that thought was just a giggle and a half. Who he had thought growing up was his uncle, was merely just an angry stallion with a paypack from the great red parrot. But standing here was non other then true blood and feathers- he couldn't of been anymore happy as his maw expressed it with the usual poked out tongue lolling about.

Zikeria snickered to herself quietly a moment, at least until news of a 'mate' came up. Wait what? Cocomo here was in love? Ohhh, she felt so behind the times now. Here she was, crazy aunt Zikeria with no one and no kids. And her own nephew was staring at love! What, was she a spinster, an old maid? What was wrong?
She shoved these thoughts aside, looking at him looking all pround and chuckled then. He was something else, that was for sure. Maybe a bit of young Zaribe in there after all. "So you found someone, and they like you too?" she asked, beaming at him. "What's she like?"
Well, may as well get a scoop on the prospective family coming up - aside, she'd know before Zaribe and beat him to the punch on 'breaking the news' when he tried to tell her. Hee, that would be fun! Burst his bubble and all.

Cocomo sucked his tongue back in- a ritual he normally did when he was thinking.. well usually anyway. His auntie had asked of him to sing the praises of the mare that made his heart flutter with such happiness he could kick up his heels and dance.
"Really? Hmm where do I start...," he began with a chuckled as he nodded his head with a shake of his charm necklace, "Well she's Lady Coventina scuse me Coventina." he laughed to himself at the namesake he gave her so freely, for she was in deed a lady that was part of his heart. "She's soft colored like the sand and her hair is green so green like the ocean waves with tips of white. And her wings... Auntie they are so beautiful, " he held his out straight looking at them before he continued, "Nothing like mine but big and so delicate. She so beautiful and she said yes auntie... she said yes to being with me! Imagine that I never thought I'd be so happy." He chirped with a click of his tongue.
Looking over at Zikeria excuse me his aunt, he wondered to himself who her special someone was because if she was like her father she had to have someone in her life. Because Zaribe was just so fantastic and so was his sister since they were red and bright and whoa she was full of fun too. Man did Cocomo love his family.

Zikeria puffed up, rather proud of her nephew. He definitely sounded head over heels for her, and she'd accepted. She dwelled on the wings comment a moment and remembered the flutter she had encountred - ah, right. So he'd found himself a little butterfly. Well, at least she would be borne to the wind like him and able to chase him down if needed.
"Wonderful, simply wonderful," she said cheerfully, giving a toss of her head. "You definitely sound happy, I'm sure your parents will be equally thrilled to hear the news, especially your father." Well, hopefully he didn't suddenly feel old or something. Heaven forbid that birdbrain have a pang of age hit him.
She made extra certain to shove her thoguhts aside about that; she was biding her time, really, looking for the right person.

Cocomo grinned at his aunt letting his singsong personality get the best of him then he pondered his dad. Oh the great Zaribe must know of this wonderous news.... the love of his life.. the sweetness of his breath... the beating of his heart. Coventina was his Goddess, a radiant creature born near the sea and sand, the water nymph that had stolen his heart because he willed her to.
"Auntie you haven't seen dad in a while right? Why don't we go to see him. You know me, you, and my beautiful lady. You'd get to meet her of course so there's a big plus for you. Hmm that means you'd know before mom and dad would... ooh a surprise hee." He grinned wildly back at the splitting image of his proud father. If she did have a secret other that meant that he could have or would mind you nieces and nephews somewhere along the line. Would they be all colors of the rainbow or patterned like.. well he had no idea really just a thought anyway. Playfully he let those ideas dance in his head while he waited for his aunt to answer. He was sure Coventina wasn't too far from there as he left her a little ways back to stretch his wings.

"Well, I wouldn't want to impose but if you wanted me to, sure! I'm not doing anything at the moment." She shufffled her wings a bit, resttling them again. She could see the one who'd catured his heart and know her perhaps before they arrived. Boy would Zaribe be surprsed to see her AND the news. She laughed in her mind at the thought. At least then she'd have some time to relax as well and needle her brother a few times.

Coventina was indeed not too far from Cocomo and his aunt, nibbilng daintly on the sweet grass near the trees. She knew that Cocomo wanted to stretch his wings out and fly out for while but will come back to her so she is not worried about her mate at all. Her ears twitches as she hears the familiar voice along with unknown female voice and she lifts her head from the grass quizzically. "Cocomo..?" She whispers to herself as she moves toward her mate's voice, not sure what to expect.
Confirming her 'suspicions' that it is Cocomo chatting with other female, Coventina smiles gently as she stood there for while watching their interaction. She nickered softly to announce her presence then she walked toward Cocomo. "Hey love.." She murmurs as she looks up at him lovingly then she turns her head toward the female with a curious look. The female looks like she could be related to Cocomo in some way. "Hi there." She says with a smile.

Cocomo chuckled for he was never too busy for anything- unlike his father that could spend hours grooming discontented feathers. His ears perked toward the soft hoof beats and fluttering wings of the one that made his heart soar with more than feathery wings. He beamed so proudly stepping in for a moment to lip at her muzzle and curled mane then turning to his aunt.
"Well now better timing then I would of thought... hee hee." holding his head high he grinned with a bit of his exposed tongue speaking with a happy overtone, "Auntie this is my beautiful, gorgeous, absolutely take-my-breath-way mate Coventina." Grinning with much pride he willingly made a supreme fuss over his dainty perfect companion.
Turning to Coventina he raised his wings as his father always did when he was being a showoff, "Lady Coventina this is my auntie Zikeria. She's dad's sister... don't they look alike? Oh wait you haven't met dad yet.. hah ha silly me." He grinned now with his tongue fully out at the both of them waiting till they finally got acquainted.
