Everytime the white and black female crossed the mind of the clothed male lion he remembered that he was happy being the 'pet' of Byrony and her mate. The time they all had behind closed doors was paralyzing with all of the ecstacy, but Sashi always managed to sneak back into his mind. He had convinced himself that this was because he had promised to aid her in finding her brother which he now believed to be one in the same as the King Blake of Whispers in the Dark pride.
Today was the day, the test if this would truely get her out of his mind. His mistresses were on a journey to spend some time with their daughters for a couple of days leaving him to do whatever he pleased. He knew where to find her, as he came to the area a little smile came out from behind his lit cigarette.

Sashi was indeed where Drake knew she'd be, laying on a rock and gazing out towards the opposite horizon in thoughtful silence. She was troubled in heart and mind and it showed in her face Her ear flicked, not cause she heard him, but because of a fly landing there and bothering her unconsciously. She liked being with Drake, but partially what he'd told her before, his little secret, and also his mistress....whoever she was, bothered her. Maybe it was that she knew he wasn't hers, and chance would probably prove he never would be, but she knew that was life, and it wasn't always nice or fair. Hell, her whole life had been fraught with that fact, but she'd turned out pretty well despite it. Maybe it was best if she just split this whole thing off soon as she found her brother, after all, it was the only that kept him coming back to her. Like all the other guys she'd developed crushes on, she'd get over him as well....right?

The female was obviously obvlivious to his presence. With a sly smile on his face he snuck up on the beauty and licked the back of her ear purring deeply, "OooOoo Senorita Sashi...." Then he prepared to be mauled as the moment registered in her mind. Indeed, he had something big for her.

Drake was right to be prepared for a mauling, as Sashi turned quick as could be with her claws extended and a snarl on her face, though it was only cause he'd scared her completely out of her wits. Thankfully, though she managed to stop herself before really attacking, and a sort of sheepish smile spread across her face. "Sorry, but you scared me," she said, the expression in her eyes growing troubled, but she still was glad to see him. "What brings you here?"

Drake had jumped back and sustained a couple of hits, but nothing too major. Mistress would sew up the jacket with no problem, wasn't the first time it'd been torn in the heat of the moment. A huge smile was on his face, "well two things. One, I am going to be a grandfather. And two. I have a suprise for you." His chess puffed out with pride, his gay son was going to be a daddy finally. And the suprise would no doubt rock this goddess's world.

Sashi backed up a step or two before sitting down and looking at Drake and cokcing her head. "Congradulations on the first piece of news, I'm glad to hear that! And...what surprise? Did you....? Blake?!" She both hoped and dreaded to hear if she was right, but tried to hide any sign of it as best she could. It would be good to see him again after so long...so good...

A very disappointed expression came over the white mane'd male's face. "Now what kind of lion would I be if I gave away the suprise now. I am neither admitting nor denying that your assumption is neither correct nor incorrect." With a sage like nod as if to pur a defining period at the end of the sentence, the walked by her, rubbing his body against hers. "Come on, we've got to travel this way for quite some time I'm afraid."

Sashi couldn't help but smile as Drake refused to tell her what was the surprise, and started to get up as he walked by her, but the act of him rubbing against caused her to pause and freeze. It had sent both shivers down her spine and filled her with a sense of sadness and longing, for though he'd not told her the surprise, something in her heart told her she was right. She started to wonder, if she was wrong, how much longer she could keep this up without breaking it off, and realized that it no longer mattered...she'd have to do it after his surprise. Then, as if remembering he was leading the way, she finally unfroze and followed after.
Trotting to catch up, she slowed when her head was level with his shoulder and match her pace to his. Still, she said nothing, and simply stared out to the horizon and forced herself not to think of how this would be the last time they journeyed together anywhere. She was deteremined to enjoy the day while she could, but found she couldn't look at him full-on or talk, afraid she'd give out her true feelings. Instead, she started to make plans of where she might go, and where she'd be in the morning. Certainly out of the Pride Lands that was for sure...the less chance she had of running into Drake, the better her chances of getting over him were. After all, lions always come and go from one's life right? He would just be another one who'd played his small part and left....yeah, that's the way she'd look at it.

Was the female aware that she wore her feelings on her face? Surely not, or else she would not be thinking such intense things. What were these heartbreaking and negative thoughts she was thinking about? Hopefully she wasn't thinking that he would be leading her to her ultimate demise here. The longer the akward silence built, the higher levels of confusion Drake reached. s**t, this female was going to drive him crazy!
"I thought this walk would be a little less... Tense, Sashi." Laughing he nudged her with his shoulder.
"Whatever you're thinking about couldn't be that bad. You're with me, let go, go with the flow and just relax. You should be happy, shouldn't you? I mean isn't that the natural responce to a suprise? Excited anticipation?"
It must have been different for a male and a female. The last suprise he got was.. Wow a while ago, was when he was told that his son and daughter would be gracing the Earth. From his ex-mate, perhaps that wasn't the best thing. Not that Drake wasn't a loving father, it just wasn't great timing.

"I've decided to leave the Pride Lands, Drake." That was the first thing to come out in responce to his concern, and she almost didn't realize she'd said it till it was already out and she could no longer take it back. "Don't get me wrong, I am excited, but...I'm finding it hard to say good-bye to a place I've come to love in a short time.. " Sighing, she did relax a bit more now, having voiced her decision aloud. She had no real reason to stay here, tying her to the lands, even if Blake was alive and had a family, but perhaps she would remain with him for a time to catch up on old times before leaving once more. She had missed him terribly...

Drake laughed a little and shook his head. "No, you're not. You can't..." That was all the only responce he allowed. No desperation, he treated as if she was joking. There was no way in hell he would allow this female to leave, even if he sort of had someone else, he would not allow her to leave. It just would not happen while he was still alive. And since he would now be a grandfather, it would take a lot to knock him on his back.
However, Drake did pick up his pace hoping it would cause her to forget this retarded little plan of doing such a thing as leaving. Once she looked into those big blues, she wouldn't be able to leave, he was sure of it. Talking about it and then in the future not going through with it would make her feel obligated, and that would just be the end of them all.

Sashi's first instinct was to be mad and want to lash out at him, but she didn't and managed to keep her cool..barely. As he picked up his pace, as if ending the subject right there, she instead sat down and just took a couple of deep breaths. Once she was sure she was back in total control of herself, and still very much convinced this was the best choice for all, she ran till she was back in her spot at his shoulder and matched her pace to his. "So that's it? I'm supposed to say Oh Okay, and be done with it? You can't be serious." She actually laughed, only slightly forced-sounding. "You should know me better than that by now, at least I'd think you do. Anyways, there's no real true reason for me to stick around, even if my brother and sister ARE alive, they have their own lives, you have yours and your children and grandchildren need you....not to mention your Mistress. As for me, there are no ties to keep me here...I'll probably come back and visit, but to stay? No...I just complicate things that would be so simple if I left."
At this point, she picked up her own pace, just like he had done, and was jogging along at that pace that covers alot of ground without truly wearing one out quickly and called back, "So, how far away is this surprise you have in mind?" The exercise was doing her alot of good, she felt, and helping her work out her emotions. Perhaps she'd sleep good tonight unlike the last week.

Damned stubborn female... Jealous Much? That was it, he wsn't going to say another word about the subject because honestly he refused to validate her expressions. In any case, if her brother was truely as he was told, then he wouldn't allow her to leave anyways. Keeping up with her pace he laughed as full heartedly as he could, trying to lighten up the mood.
Without warning Drake jumped over infront of her and stopped dead with a huge grin on his face. They were clearly in a desertish setting wih odd placed rose bushes.
"We're here." Turning abou he let out a very loud roar awaiting for the king of the lands to come and greet them.

Blake lifted his head as a strange roar sounded across his desert lands, and he looked around for a moment sleepily before realizing it wasn't one of his sons, but someone different. Who could it be? Well, only one way to find out, and so he got up and began trotting towards the direction the roar had come and answered with one of his own.
Sashi skidded in her tracks as Drake jumped over her, her face a rather comical expression of shock. "Roses?" were her first reaction...he'd wanted to show her roses? Why them? Did he know her family had had an affinity with plants, and more particulary roses? Well, affinity was the wrong word as her parents had been shamans, and her siblings had a rather strong love of plants...why, she'd never quite understood, even though she too could appreciate a beautiful flower. Drake's roar, and the one that answered a moment later, told her exactly why she'd been brought here, and with a bit of hesitation and excitement she looked up towards the dune in front of them, a smile growing on her face.
Blake appeared at the top of the dune a moment later, and raised an eyebrow at the appearance of the two lions that waited below. One was clothed (he was probably dying in the heat!) and the other was a pretty lioness that looked vaguely familiar. He trotted down towards them, his eyes drawn to the female. Surely...it couldn't be....? He looked to the male with a look of comical confusion. "Um...can I help you...?"
Sashi hadn't recognized the answering roar, after all the last time she'd seen him he was only a cub, still too young to care for himself when he'd disappeared. Surely, could it only be a coincidence that this male now approaching looked like her brother? Then again, as he neared, she knew it was him. His markings were exactly as she remembered him so long ago... "Blake?" was all she could whisper, a smile on her face.

Drake bowed as the king approached, thoush his mistress would probably scold him for such a thing. "King Blake, sir. I come baring a gift that will hopefully go unforgotten in the future." Moving aside now so that the two had a very clear sight of each other.
"King Blake, please, allow me to introduce Miss Sashi. Your sister, if I'm not mistaken."
