What do you think of the Flush sample?
It's awesome! I can't wait to hear more!
It's alright. Gives me something to new to listen to.
  It's so-so.
I can't tell until I hear the whole thing.
  I don't like it.
  I hate it.

It does man, it almost sounds like a new KoRn album if you know what i mean wink I really hope that things work out for Head's album, but I really wish him and JD will be in talks once again to re-unite what was once the good KoRn.

Fo sho. But KoRn's still good. ;o

Anyways, damn the Flush track, it sort of sounds like an Issues/Untouchables KoRn, doesn't it?

It sounds amazing, I wonder if hes still down tuning. I still got a lot of respect for the dude now that this whole Korn bashing mixup is over. The vid excited me cause he seems to have his life in order now. Better chance for a reunion smile

SO is Head's Album christian rock or something? His song so far sounds like it came out of the Follow the Leader Album. It is great that Head is still using his KoRn Style in his solo album. With this, there is a chance that he will rejoin Korn, but Jon would have to change his lyrics around but who knows. Im just glad that Head,Unlike David, still keeps in contact with KoRn, knowing that he may not be in the band, but they are still family.

Damn, if only JD was singing on that track... emo

Omg I just heard both samples... it bothers me that they're so good even though they're only a minute long. I can totally hear JD singing on those tracks. Gawd... never thought I'd say this but I know appreciate how integral Head was to Korn's overall 'edge'. Aye, llife sucks cry

Ooh, too cool! Thanks Irene. smile

And I know what you mean about the "edge" thing.

It's...kind of hard for me to admit that Head sounds more like KoRn than KoRn does themselves. confused

Well, maybe I should rephrase that: Head sounds more like the old school KoRn.

Actually, right now, given the state of Untitled and SYOTOS (which admittedly is not their best work) that statement is pretty true. I'm actually starting to think Head had more of an influence on (original) Korn's sound moreso than Munky did...

I guess it wasn't flattery when they said that Head was the highest talent in the band. (Excluding JD)

Damn, this really makes me want Head to come back, more than ever. I love SYOTOS and Untitled, don't get me wrong, but they sound so...processed being a good word for it? I don't know...

...I feel bad saying all this, like I'm criticizing KoRn, but I just wish they'd make a song like "Falling Away From Me" or "Thoughtless" again, something that was really really empowering; the hand picking you up off the ground feeling. A song you can always turn to, and a serious video to go along with it. As I've said before, I love the humor, they're doing what they want to do, but after I saw "Falling Away From Me" I ******** cried. I want that impact to come back, I want more people to be reached out to as I was--because the media doesn't play old songs or videos. Kids in a troubled situation like myself wouldn't get the same help I got...and not to say that KoRn should be obligated to save everyone, but the fact is they CAN.

Does this make me a bad fan now? sad

No, it absolutely does not make you a bad fan - it just means you can think critically despite the fact you're talking about something you love. Loving something or someone doesn't mean you just kiss their asses and accept everything they do as infallible and perfect - it means being honest and ready to point out what you think they may be lacking in the hopes that they'll try to make it better.

Honestly, I found it a little bit harder to connect with the material on SYOTOS and Untitled (for the most part... don't get me wrong, both albums had a few gems). Everything was a bit lax. Also, I found it slightly odd at first that JD is now singing about something completely different - it's still eloquent as ever, but he's on a different emotional plane now. You're right Dani in saying, that the exposure the media is giving them doesn't do them justice. All kids see nowadays is the more "polished", "safe" Korn - I HATE The Matrix and Atticus Ross... really, I don't like the direction they've taken Korn musically. They don't see what Korn really were about until they decide to dig a little deeper.

Fair enough, experimentation and evolution is a positive thing - but there will be times when we will just stop and think - "hey, there's something missing". I hope hooking up with Ross Robinson unleashes the energy that has been dormant since Head's departure; and I really want him and David back...

I reckon that is his sound, and he had an influence on Korn's sound. If you compare SYOTOS and Untitled to their efforts with Head, there is a clear difference in the way they've structured their music.

I Think that this could be a sign that Head has a chance of rejoining the band since they dubbed down alot of their crude acts.
