Y'know, from the very beginning of this day it felt strange. I knew that it was different... What I didn't realize is that it would change my life forever; It was a beautiful day and that was only the start, the sun high in the sky, looking down over everything, making even the smallest things glow; Over the last couple of weeks it had rained endlessly. I saw the faces of my neighbors, it seemed to bring misery over everyone... Like it was troubling somehow, and for the first time in weeks everyones chirpy again.People, everyone... Friends, family what do they really mean? We are just all building blocks after all right? If it wasn't for us then life on this planet wouldn't really even exist, it would have no meaning and no one to acknowledge it. Just like us. If it wasn't for others we'd be nothing.
Maybe... thats what brings me here today. The past and the acknowledgment I threw away; Am I really that selfish? To throw away something that many wish to have. Foolish..? or ideal. I experienced it and chose the path of a lone wolf on my own... In hope, that one day, I could find the acknowledgment from them or that one person who can truly find my existece.

The clock ticks by slowly, ringing through my ears as it torments the endless trailing thoughts. Here i am just sat, watching time purely. I held two buckled Rollerblades within my grasp, a sigh escaping through loose fangs. Behind these bangs my blue eyes hawk the ramps before me. I was only meant to be a mere shadow but a shadow can be something much more in the right places. I don't know why, but I do. I take my skates and slide my feet within their sturdy frames, shutting tight buckles hearing them clink against the shiny metal;they looked so untouched, preserved... That was a lie.
I stand, holding my balance on the edge between the sharp two wheels, shadow overwhelming tan skin, eyes and any facial expression was now nothing to be seen. I hold one arm back and my right holstered by my side, Ready...Set. Go.

And the funny thing is, this was just the beginning... So listen to our Story. i promise its one you'll never forget.

Where I found myself after the day of the big storm, wasn't a place I would have imagined ever going before. I'm sensitive to sunlight, though I can handle it rather well compared to others of my kind, so being in the open is usually something I avoid during those kinds of days. Yet, there I was, standing outside the granite, wood, and metal play area frequented by those who rode with wheels on their feet. Yes I am talking about rollerblades, skateboards, and even just skates. The only clue as to a reason for my being there is a feeling I had, it was kind of like hope but... Not at the same time. Maybe the possibility of hope? It's hard to explain, but whatever it had been it had erased any doubts that I had about going inside the skate park. It erased my fears of accidentally hurting someone, or accidentally hurting myself and being able to walk away in front of so many people when I shouldn't have.

I felt that my existance was safe within these chain links no matter what I did or what happened after I had strapped on the sturdy wheeled boots that currently hung over my shoulder. That Amber eyes and white hair wouldn't be the object of everyone's conversation. It felt as if they wouldn't care, that no one would care, that I could do what I wanted and not be some kind of freak show for all of them. I entered, I strapped on my skates, I put the headphones in my ears. I tucked away my ipod, pulled back my hair, and took off across the asphault music blaring and blending with my thoughts.

Something was going to happen that day, all because of some loud music and a little bit of clumsiness on my part. Won't you listen as I share something almost... Magical? I thought you would. Hunker down and prepare for a long and interesting ride because this introduction is just the beginning and has ended making way for the real story to begin.

Steel skimmed the concrete, a noise as piercing like chalk on a black board wailed through the parks area. yoshima's wheels were the wheels his father had passed down to him, that of the fang road they were no less than sadistic, if he really wanted clawing up another living being would be easy. Scars in bedded in both the ramps wood and the concrete flooring were marked, scruffy and tatty; he clipped off of the ramp as he flew up high above and landed one hand balancing on the edge, then using his body weight let himself drop down, pulling forth his body to balance it out, enjoying all his lost freedom, the wind rushing by with full intention of making his clothes and hair shake rapidly seemed to be the highlight of the last few years he had spent dormant. 'I remember this feeling... How I miss it so much, but for something o be gained a sacrifice has to be made..' at the trailing thoughts, only briefly did he close his eyes but that brief moment was all it took.

Despite seeing where he was going at first, wheels rolling over concrete caused Yo's ears to twitch and perk. 'was that...?' his two bright blue pools stared forward as he caught sight of a blurred white figure before him, at a glance eyes of amber taunted his foolishness and he couldn't help but bare his teeth, he knew what was coming he just didn't want to accept the fact after all this time, he'd finally messed up. colliding, he felt a tough bone sink into his stomach, in reflex he wrapped his arms around the victim of the accident and sent himself flying towards the ground keeping her tucked securely into his body; tearing soared through his ears as the skidded far across the ground a ringing of metal following a short while after as the two came to a strict halt. "Ugh... He groaned, his head pounding. With one eye his vision narrowed to who was held within his arms, a slender felt frame and the curvy figure completed his decipher. It was obviously a female not much older than himself by the looks of it. "A-are you okay..?" His soft tone came, one eye open looking down over her.

As her wheels rolled over asphault, concrete, and then wood she couldn't help but feel a thrill at finally having a chance to do something just for fun. It had been ages since she'd strapped on her skates just to go and practice a few tricks or to test just how quickly she could force herself to go. Her nights had been filled with hunting, with training, and with a part-time job that she didn't really like. Her skates slid across the ground with ease as she spun, folding her hands behind her back and just letting herself coast at the speed she'd managed to aquire. Her white and amber tail swished back and forth to the beat of her music, keeping time to something that no one else could hear.

Because of this she didn't hear the approach of wheels skimming across concrete, or the sound of the wind shift slightly to accomodate two rather than one. She only had time to spare a single glance of her amber eyes to her right before she was slammed into and suddenly skidding across the ground, someone's arms locked firmly around her. One elbow jammed into her protectors body, the other slid across the concrete despite the effort they put forth. Once they finally came to a stop, she had time to asses what she had seen in that sparse moment before the collision. A glimmer of blue and masculine features belonging to someone possibly her age.

Her headphones had fallen out somewhere along the way so his words were heard easily with her oversensitive ears. She glanced up, eyes a little wide before an apologetic smile found its way across her face.
"Thanks to your quick thinking, yes. What about you? You took the fall and I'm pretty sure an elbow somewhere..." she spoke a little worried. How could she have let something like that happen? She was SUPPOSED to have kick a** senses, yet she hadn't even felt him approaching.

Yo's head continued to pound as his eye twitched in the pain that throbbed harshly. He held tight onto where it hurt the most, forcing himself to cast her an equally apologetic smile, kindly shifting so it was a better position to be in.
"Me? hahaha.... I'm good, don't worry about it. Just glad your ok, it was stupid of me, should of been keeping a better eye on where I was heading." He stated gently raising her arm as dark red liquid dripped onto his leg, for a moment his eyes widened, even at their efforts she managed to be hurt, thankfully it wasn't as bad as it could of been, she got off with a scrape. "I'm sorry again..." He spoke more sincerely, the pole they had crashed into helped him edge his way to his feet and pull the girl to her own, taking a hold of her wrist and giving her a tug up-right; dusting himself off, the throbbing wasn't so bad, it was stand able but as his jacket flailed within the air at one glance, he could see behind himself two flapping access lines of material. 'darn... i liked this hoody too' he thought the tear ragged.

He looked back at her and behind her scattered across the skate park concrete was shards of something mechanical looking, a sweat bead slipped by his face, the bangs finally slipping back into place as he gently curled his palm behind his head rubbing it with the feeling of stupidity. Giving her his full attention a sigh rolled off his lips. " I'ma have to make this up to you in some way, this ain't good and well eugh..." he gulped pointing behind her as he simply lent back against the pole, folding his arms across his chest. The girl was really pretty in appearance and had an unusual aura to her, he amber eyes glimmering in the sun, more on her tail to match. Something about it seemed odd.. Like at the beginning of this morning, that feeling..

He wasn't telling the truth, she could see his eye twitching every now and then and he was shielding something. She wasn't going to call him on it though, it was honestly none of her business; she didn't know him so he had no obligation to tell her any different. When he held up her arm she gave a slight smile,
"Nothing serious, I've had far worse in all the years that I've been skating. This whole collision is just as much my fault, listening to music while skating probably wasn't a good idea in the first place so no need to call yourself names." She rose to her feet with his aide and managed to not slip and slide all over the place despite the odd angle for her skates. "How's your back?" she asked with a wince, watching him look over his shoulder.

When he glanced behind her she did as well, her ears twitching as she did so. The remains of her ipod were spread across the skate park glistening in the sun as if little gems. "Well... It isn't the first time I've lost an ipod, though this is the first time I've lost one in this specific manner," she spoke, giving a gentle laugh. It didn't bother her that it was broken, shattered, and beyond repair. Another one could be purchased after her next hunt. The boy however didn't seem likely to take such a brushing off of the matter. She glanced back at him and arched an eyebrow, no longer could she see the blue of his eyes as his bangs had fallen into them, hiding them from her sight. "I don't understand how you haven't had more accidents with your bangs in your face like that," she stated a slight teasingly.

Well, something had happened today, the feeling in the pit of her stomach had been correct. But it wasn't exactly what she had expected when she had woken up. Placing a hand over the bleeding scrape on her arm she gave a gentle sigh, it was the start of something though, that was for sure.

Yoshima laughed lightly at her admittance. It was true you could gain much more worser injuries through skating, at the speed they were going at, it was a wonder they had gotten off with little as they had done. "Yeah music and skating isn't the best call definitely out here. Ya never know who's blading" he sighed looking to the side at the ramps, rolling his eyes, even if it was partially both their owns faults, he still felt like an idiot, especially with being Shadow. To be honest he was pretty amazed how she could balance that well whilst climbing to her feet, she must of been skating a few years at least even if not constant. "hmm..?" He blinked a couple of times at her seeing her wince as he glanced back slightly. "-Oh... that, eh its fine, no problem." He let out a small chuckle wafting his hand. "Seriously all it did was tear my hoody. Shame but at least it wasn't skin, now that wouldn't be a pretty sight..." he cringed placing a hand upon her shoulder.

"In any case, I guess I owe you an ipod?"
he shrugged lightly smiling kindly at her. It was strange, after all the girls he'd met, this had of been the most strange encounter, and that was exactly what they were portrayed as all together 'strange.' His eyebrow raised hearing her comment, okay so he came across a little blind, but it wasn't really that bad, he'd never really come across a problem with it before, he lightly blew upwards the bangs shifting then falling back into his eyes naturally; smirking momentarily he nodded. " ha. sup'ose your right.. Unless its a natural talent I just posses." He winked from underneath his shadow sticking a small pink tongue out at her, giving her the thumbs up, slowly making his way by her. "Well come on then. Seems I got some making up to ya to do" he let a small smile elude his lips, casting towards her as he glided over the concrete flooring, buckles clipping together as he spun in a circle, his hoody loosely flowing in the force. "unless you wanna hang out here and have some fun first? Its the least we could do."

At that moment he held out his hand to her offering to join him, clasping the sharp heels of his blades together to halt his tracks. "One last thing...You sure your okay..?" Yo asked softly, just to make sure. It was a small gut feeling, but she had already made the day brighter, somehow... It was just all so confusing. Unless it was just the heat, but he doubted that.

"Hey, give me a bit of a break on that. I'm not used to skating in public places, it has always been alright when I've been on my own," she exclaimed, folding her arms under her chest. She gave a slight grin after a bit however and shook her head, "It was pretty stupid..." At his revelation that his back hadn't gotten as torn as his hoodie she let a little sigh of relief go, ears relazing. If he had gotten hurt badly because of her, she would have tossed this day into the 's**t' pile that was slowly beginning to build. Glancing at his hand on her shoulder she let a smile smile slide across her face before she looked back up at him, "It wouldn't have been, thusly why I am thankful it didn't happen, and because I would have felt like even more of a dummy than I already do."

Her eyebrows rose as the subject changed to her ipod once more and she shook her head, "It was more my fault than yours, so you don't technically owe me anything. I have a pretty decent night job too so it won't take me too long to pay for another anyway." It interested her, that he wasn't staring, or making cracks at her paleness and weird eyes. That he was so interested in paying her back when he shouldn't need too, that he said he owed her. Accidents like that happened a lot in places like these didn't they? Her thoughts flitted away as he spoke once more and she found herself trying to hold in a laugh as he commented about his bangs. "And I typically have a natural talent at knowing how to stay out of the way. Guess both of our so called 'talent's' need a little honing," she stated, eyes on him as he stuck out his tongue. The urge to hide her laughter behind her hand came on strong, and she almost did but the bit of blood on her hand from her arm stopped her from doing as much. Letting it fall to her side once more. "Hmm... Hanging out here for a bit wouldn't be so bad I guess but don't you want to change your hoodie first? Well, I guess if we have another collision it's better to not ruin another piece of clothing so maybe not..." As she finished speaking, she skated a little closer and took his hand, gently waving off his question with her other. "I'm made of tougher stuff than I appear. Plus you took the brundt of the fall remember?"

It was odd, speaking with someone other than her brother so comfortably, so easily when she typically liked to avoid others. Grinning she glanced over at him, trying to spy some blue under those bangs, "By the way I'm Amaya."

"really?" Yo asked, casting a few blank blinks. He would of thought she would have been used to it with how freely she was skating and how good her balance is. Before he bumped into her, she seemed pretty confident with what she was doing. "Well I'll give you that then." He chuckled. "Don't worry about it seriously, its not your fault at all, were all a little clumsy... Some just more than most" he rubbed the back of his head, shifting the blue beanie a little, his hair flying freely into his face as it always did so when he moved. Y'know it was nice that she was trying to make everything right and how nice she was, sharing the blame. He was thankful for bumping someone like her.

"Hmm fine, if your sure. I still think I gotta keep my end of the bargain though. Like you said, joint blame right?... I know" He started as he smiled looking down at her through onyx bangs. "I'll take you out to dinner sometime." A small laugh eluded himself as she went on about talking about their so called 'natural talents'. "true, true." He added as she gently took a hold of his hand. A small kind smile painted his lips as she did so, pulling her along just gliding over the concrete. "Well, I'd never doubt that, I mean that elbow was mean" he teased. "I'll show you something to make you smile, have to make it a fun hangout to make up for today." At that moment, he slipped his buckled heels together and spun her close so she was facing him, skating backwards, the air motioning against the torn hoody showed they were exceeding upwards on a wooden ramp. A smirk proceeded, before he lifted her up letting go; Turning, he lunged off of the wood and onto the ramps railings, grabbing her hand again and spinning them both around a lamppost, stopping them quickly as they both reached the top. He laughed lightly, having to throw her around a little but he was sure she wouldn't mind being made of tougher stuff.

"Amaya is a pretty name." Yo finally answered smiling as his gaze brushed hers. "Its nice to meet you, I'm Yoshima but Yo's just fine... I kind of noticed before but you have really really unusual eyes. They're very nice."He chuckled, keeping the balance atop the lamppost.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 08, 2008 12:57 pm

Any responses that she had been about to give to what he was saying were lost momentarily when he spun her around so she was facing him and a bit closer than before. Her eyes widened a little but she didn't move, instead allowing him to lead her up an incline. When he lifted her, she resisted the urge to squeak, then again as he let her go. Before she could quite comprehend what he was doing, he had a hold of her again and she was spinning around a lamp post before reaching the top and coming to an abrupt stop. Amaya had to remember to start breathing again as she balanced atop the post with him, listening to him answer the only comment he hadn't before. She gave a gentle smile,
"Thank you... So Yoshima is yours? I'll try to remember to just call you Yo, but no promises." Silence fell as he mentioned her eyes, he had said they were unusual, but he had also said they were nice.

She let a faint smile flit across her face, "Your the first person who has called them nice after they had called them unusual. I guess I should say thanks? I think yours are far nicer however, well, from the few glimpses of blue that I've seen," she stated, glancing back up at him. The rest of the questions and statements he had made before the trip up the lamp post flooded back to her. A change of subject, good! "Yes I really have never been to a public skate-park. I've always practiced on random objects in not so populated places. Makes it a little easier to do what I want and not get yelled at or called crazy. And dinner? Are you sure you want to take an oddball like me to dinner? You might get called insane by random passerbys."

A stronger smile found its way across her face as she folded her arms behind her back, "It was quite fun coming up here, if a bit bumpy of a ride. Thanks. You're quite good to be able to pull someone like me along with you for the ride," she stated before leaping off the lamp post and grinding back down to the ground. She landed easily on her feet and slid down the rail that Yoshima had used earlier to get to the lamp post. After a moment she hopped off of that and back onto the wooden ramp moving quickly down the slope and skidding to a stop in the center of the ramp. "So what now huh?" she called.

Yo still held the balance between two pressured wheels, keeping a hold of her as he listened to what she had to say. A chuckle escaped him as she joked around with his name, he remembered something, very vaguely but it was from school sometime last year before leaving. Learning about Japanese culture as he ticked. "Night rain." he simply muttered blankly speaking a loud within thoughts; Shaking his head lightly he smiled as she went on about her eyes, he could see how she might of been picked on because it was strange to normal people, but in his world different was better and beauty was seen through his eyes not everyone else's words. "I just see things a lot clearer than everyone else th-" He started cut short as she went on about answering another question. 'touchy topic..?' thoughts kept trailing but slowly he adjusted to each topic.

"Practicing on your own helps alot means you can adapt your own style of skating, using your own moves and figuring out different stances on your own. I'm sure no one would have thought you as in the way if you'd of asked for help or something though buut I agree with you." He chuckled watching her jump down off the lamp post; shifting his weight, he also grinded down the pole, skipping off the railing and gliding down the ramp in ease, slowing as he neared Amaya, lightly again patting on her shoulder. "Well can't be that bad, guess we'll just be the weirdo's together I mean I'm basically cousin it, its lucky if anyone ever see's my eyes at all and to me, your not as strange as everyone says. Look your really nice as what I know of so far and that shouldn't affect how you look. Personally i would love to take a nice, pretty girl like you out to dinner" he shrugged. "But thats your call" Under his bangs his gaze stared down softly, casual as always he continued and left her to ponder, hands in pockets, a small smirk curled upon lips, slipping smoothly over the concrete towards the parks entrance.

Watching as he grinded down the pole and met her once more on the ramp, she couldn't help but smile a little, pointed fangs peeking out from under her lip. He had to be the nicest person she had run into, quite literally, in a long time. Definitely the first she had stayed with to speak to. It had taken until now to register what he had said before, he knew what her name meant, now that was definitely a change. Listening as he spoke, she noted responses in her mind for when he finished and gave her a chance to answer him. The last sentence he spoke however threw her off completely causing her ears to twitch and her tail to cease swishing back and forth momentarily. She almost lost her balance, the ground suddenly seeming to drop and return under her feet as he left her to think. Half of her was screaming at her to say no, that this was wrong and it would be terrible to get someone as nice as him involved in her chaotic life. The other half however was telling her she needed it, someone to speak with other than her brother, a friend, something else she would lose what little control she had left.

She sighed, slipping pale fingers through her white bangs and kicked off skating at her usual pace to catch up to him and spinning around so she was going backward as she did so.
"I'd personally enjoy being taken out by someone other than my brother for once. It's a plus that this someone seems sweet and even witht he missing eyes, is rather cute as well. Guess we'll be weird together then?" she asked, smiling, her amber eyes lighting slightly with the expression. The feeling from earlier in the day settled over her more firmly, the feeling of something akin to hope. Her smile broadened as she spun once more so she was skating beside him.

Yoshima's eyes scanned eloquently over her fine-framed features, the sway of gentle winds as she glided backwards on the light skates lifted the delicate strands of her hair making the quiet boy realize what was happening; Knots latched in his chest so tight he could hardly breath? That to some would be called uncomfortable, but not to Yo, it was a great sign, a sign of comfort something he had grown extremely quickly around this sweet girl. Never before could he talk to someone as freely as this unless it was one of the exceptional few he let get close, but even then... Never 'this' close.
With the expression, it wasn't love either, not quite just yet even if he was rather familiar. It was Shadow. The fact he was thriving to come out over his happiness, was a sign he could beat an inner demon, there was a way and now it was only just starting to unravel the key.

"Your skating is so graceful, elegant. Its a change to see around here" he chuckled, quickly skipping back to answer what she had said. " Aww thats sweet, you must have a really nice brother if he takes you out, geez he puts me to shame." he laughed lightly at the almost true statement, fact was he was always mean to Neon. The word 'sweet' and 'cute' in the same sentence made him halt in his tracks and stare, hesitant to continue for a few breathless moments. No way. He was actually being complimented like a human being, it was such a great feeling to be treated so freely. "Y-yeaa, we can, nothing wrong with us wierdo's at all... For weirdo's we seem to meet the nicest of people and the most beautiful" He simply stated, a sweet , meaningful smile painted from cheek to cheek; lifting his arm slightly he offered her his arm like a gentleman his stare softened as they fell back over her.

What was this... Feeling?
PostPosted: Thu Jul 10, 2008 8:50 pm

The silence that fell upon him after she joined him should have made her un-comfortable, should have made her feel as though he had changed his mind. No such feelings boiled to the surface, she was calm both internally and externally, something that didn't happen often. She smiled to herself, though she knew it was dangerous to get close to someone, to go out somewhere with someone, to do anything with someone, she couldn't force herself to feel alarmed. Something was keeping her floating in the feeling that she had awoken this morning with, the feeling that had expanded ten-fold upon meeting this boy. She glanced toward him, taking in his features once more, just to make sure that she wasn't imagining things. His voice snapped her from her thoughts before she could delve too deeply into them once more, the thought that had been about to reveal itself, lost again in a mass of her inner turmoil.

Listening to each and every word, she found herself nearly stumbling at the last part of his final sentence... Had he? No... Giving a gentle laugh she caught up to him and took his arm gently,
"Choppy skating results in un-necessary movements that increase your chance of falling, or wear you out easier. At least that's my philosophy. Thank you though, I'm glad it can be called graceful even after today's accident." He was so sweet, did she deserve to speak to someone like this after all she had done? "We're pretty close because we had to take care of each other growing up, I don't think we'd be as close as we are if that hadn't been the case. Twins or not, we're on far too different of a wave length if that little piece of situation was missing to get along," she responded, "And how does he put you to shame? You're offering to take the girl who ran into you to dinner... I haven't ever seen him offer to do that before." She glanced up at him before moving on to the next statement, the one that had made her stop. "Nothing wrong at all. What are you talking about when you say the nicest of people and the most beautiful...? Did you meet someone else while I wasn't paying attention?" she asked, giving yet another gentle laugh. "If you're talking about yourself though, I guess I can agree. My weirdo self has really met quite an amazing person it seems."

Why was she telling him things about her past? Normally she was so protective of it... Ashamed of what she had done and of the parents that the two of them had had... What was it about him that got her to talk so easily? What was happening to all those inhibitions she had been barred by her entire life?

Today, what was so different about.. Today? His eyes snapped towards her as her gaze made him smile every time, true he had offered to take her out but what reason did he have not to? She was beautiful, different.. Thats what he loved to see in people. The potential to make a difference. The way she spoke was like she was resembling a wilted iris, not a rose a rose was too abused by its beauty and only spoken in riches, an iris had a poisonous perception to beauty both the bringing of life and the dawn of a new tomorrow whilst the end of a day only to bring a new one in its wait. her voice rang through his ears so freely, he'd never let anyone in like that, before he would shun the words and only nod in reply hiding behind his bangs away from a cruel world, but today. Why this day? It had felt as if the world had lost its shadow of hell and been eaten by the morning sun, a new flower blooming in greeting. Was she this flower? Was all this a good thing or was it to be hammered down and torn away from him like his life before. He shook his head to create a seam from reality to drowning in aimless thoughts. Snapping his attention he smiled brightly and gently blew his black bangs to the side of his face.

"Thats so true, guess with skating you have to have style in their too, you dont look half as good if your sloppy with it" He chuckled knowing others who made that appearance all too well when they skated. "Besides it wasn't that bad, just a few scrapes here and there but no biggie right?" He beamed more brightly looking down into the young adults eyes happily. The talk of her sibling made him wonder a bit about the way their own family worked but a small sigh collapsed the thoughts and left them to die down. Here it wasn't worth pondering on, he had Amaya to talk to and it felt as if all the troubles were just slowly fading away. " Yeah a beautiful girl, and when i say beauty it means difference. those who are seen differently are those who make a greater deal than those who are accepted by the world more easily. We fight for our existence, those who dont have to try, don't know whats outside the box. something called appreciation." His gaze softened over her as he felt her touch around his arm, a feeling inside sprung quite deep like a lightening bolt but regaining his mind frame back to the moment he kept it dormant.

As they walked down the street his eyes searched around the buildings, he had a vague idea where he wanted to take her but he wasn't quite sure on what she liked so to make sure he pulled her close to his side, not making it too obvious but it made him chuckle. "Sooo... What sort of food do you like?" he winked, his bangs still aside of his eye for the time being he knew all too well they'd fall back in front of them in no time though, they always did.
