Cheetah Knight was out on the loose again! Having smeared a probably gasp-worthy amount of mud to -any- mother all over herself, little Verdy (-LITTLE-, middle child or not, she'd been jipped on genes) was crawling through the grass, giggling as the almight 'Cheetah Knight' went on a hunt to go find the new tyrant that was terrorizing -her- kingdom!

Oooh, they were probably some big ugly HYENA thing that was plotting to kidnap her prince. HER PRINCE. NOBODY WOULD DARE!

Almost as if in reflection to her 'territorial' activities over 'her' imaginary prince, she sat up straight and let out a little chirping growl, flinging mud and grass everywhere, before stomping a paw and suddenly yelling; "YOU EVIL EVIL TYRANT. YOU KEEP YOUR PAWS OFF THE PRINCE!"

Yep. Nice little sane Cheetah girl for you there.

Xinavane, on the other hand, felt a little more like a damsel in distress. Though she would certainly be damned if she would admit it. Her family had driven her up the wall... constantly on the run from their old pride, and now her aunt had babies? Her half-siblings? They were nuts, the whole lot of them.

And so, once again... she went on a very, very, very long walk. She could certainly take care of herself, Xinavane had grown up tough. She certainly wouldn't let anyone else know about her personal distress... really, she had to help others escape from their personal demons to feel good about herself. Even if she had to be mean about it.

As she walked though... she heard something that made her jump. Someone screaming... though it didn't really sound like they were in trouble, rather like they were about to save someone.

And... being as she was, Xinavane ran towards possible danger, instead of away from it.

Once again, her yelling lala land had gone and thrown itself into existance in a serious way. She hadn't realized that she'd yelled so loud, or that she yelling nonsensical thoughts out into the world again, causing her to squeak and suddenly drop back into the grass. Oh how embarassing! She'd just totally let the 'evil tyrant' in on her 'plans' to come and find him and prevent him from kidnapping the 'prince'!

Now her little brown body curled up in the grass, covered in mud and making her look absolutely rediculous. But her camoflodge was perfect! At least... in -her- mind it was. NOBODY would find her! (Yeah right.)

She laid there for a couple of minutes, waiting for the moment to pass. The evil tyrant would -totally- forget about her sooner or later.

Once she finally opened her eyes up again, she found quite the opposite of what she'd been expecting. Her shouting had summoned someone to her.. and they hadn't been thrown off by her disguise!

"NO! MY COVER! IT'S BEEN RUINED!" she yelled dramatically, throwing herself back into the grass.

Xinavane... was not entirely sure whether she should laugh, or just stare. She did the later. The girl... she couldn't be a lion, could she? She didn't look like Xinavane... but she seemed like she was perhaps around the same age... maybe?

...but she was lying in mud and grass, clearly trying to hide... and it did remove the smell a little, but it looked utterly riddiculous. Really. She was, visually anyway... very obvious. Especially becase she was so loud. Xinavane was certainly not about to forget about someoen making such a big fuss over... what appeared to be absolutley nothing. While Xinavane had certainly played before... she had never seen anything quite like this.

"Er..." She said, half-wanting to join in the game, and half-wanting to run as fast as she could in the other direction. The other creature sure did look like she was having... well, like she was having a lot of fun.

Verdandi stayed laying in the grass for some time, waiting to see if she'd be attacked or if the other would just leave. But they did neither. They simply stood there and stared at her like she was some sort of unwanted back hair or a baby left on the doorstep.

Maybe if she stayed -really- still.... a plan that was already going horribly due to the fact that her breathing was very obvious and she kept flumping her tail on the ground, sending little peices of mud on a bit of an 'adventure' to stick to anything it could find to cling to.

A few seconds and she started to hum a sort of 'elevator music' to try and pass the time. It didn't help her cause at all, unfortunately.

Once she determined the other feline was just going to stand there, the little cheetah popped up to it's paws and got up into her face. "Yoooooooouuuu found me!" she beamed, grinning widely, before sinking down to the ground and looking around suspiciously. "You haven't seen an evil kidnapping Tyrant around here, have you?" she asked in a whisper, before peeking her head over the stalks of grass to see again if there was anybody around who was.. 'unwanted'.

Xinavane blinked a few times after she was spoken too, still a little unsure about how she should respond, before she answered, "I can't say that I have actually..." But the idea... that was something just a little more intriguing... searching for an evil kidnapping tyrant? Despite the fact that this creature seemed to be completely insane... it did seem so... very... very fun.

Fun. There was something that she could use a whole lot more of. Some imagination being stuffed into her wouldn't hurt either, really. So... it couldn't possibly hurt now could it?

"But..." She really hoped that she wouldn't regret what she was about to say, "I would love to help you find this evil kidnapping tyrant..." She really, really, really hoped this wasn't a bad idea.

The offer for accompaniment on her journey received a -huge- smile as an answer. Verdandi -loved- company on her little imaginitive escapades. However, the 'regret' part of this idea was... well, it was dependant on how 'clean' the lion wanted to stay, as almost promptly, Verdandi started to smear mud on her coat.

"Then ya gotta put on a disguise!" she said with a HUGE amount of excitement, not even thinking about asking the stranger for either a name or her permission. She was almost turning into Haruhi Suzumiya . Almost.

Once -she- thought that there was a suitable amount of nature-y GUNK on Xina, which was only confirmed with a walk-around glance-over and another one of her huge grins, before she ducked back into the grass.

"Now get down here and hide with me!" she ordered, though not in a 'RAWR' way, but in a giggling whisper, before the cheetah started to crawl through the grass, determined to find the 'evil kidnapping tyrant'. What would end up getting that title was mostly unknown, though.

Xinavane was, to say the least, absolutly baffled. This strange creature had just taken over her entire being with very minimal prompting. It was a very Haruhi Suzumiya moment, which she was not entirely used to. She had never met anyone like this in her entire life... someone so very... very... well, to be honest, someone who was totally free from any care in the world. It was completely mind-boggling. She didn't know what to do... so she simply allowed it to happen.

Her pelt, which she had never taken especially good care of since she wasn't all that vain, was covered in more mud than she had ever thought possible, and without knowing what had happened, she was pulled down into the ditch with the other girl.

"Right... got'cha." Xinavane said, following along behind her. Normally she was the leader... but this other girl was, quite literally, a force of nature. If not fun, Xinavane was certainly intrigued.

A little trail of giggles is the only thing (besides the obvious movement of grass and masses of mud) that would give her away to her 'Evil Kidnapping Tyrant'. "First.." she started whispering she crawled through giggles, "we gotta find him." Verdandi explained. She then poked her head up over the grass as discreetly as possible, which wasn't very much so, before ducking her head back down and cackling a bit. "Second, we can't let them see us."

To her, it was a -BRILLIANT- plan, oh yes it was.

Her little unsuccessful route to 'stalking' was further continued this way as she further crawled through the grass unsuccessfully, pausing only once to look back at her new 'victim' and grin again.

"Name's Verdandi, by the way. Verdandi the Knight!" she announced both overly loud but -very- proudly. Someday her name would be known across all the lands and everybody would know of her plight to keep saving her little kingdom!

"Xinavane... Xinavane the traveler." Xinavane decided, liking the way that sounded. She had never thought of tacking on a title for her name before... but why not? "I'll be sure to whisper... I don't want them to see us." She decided... though she was fairly certain that they were looking for something that didn't exist.

But why not? All in all, this was turning out to be quite an amusing day.

Xinavane was fairly good at stalking... usually it was something she intended to eat, but why not invisible enemies too? She cracked a grin. Why not? Why shouldn't she hunt for invisible enemies too? She could have fun if she wanted too!

"So, who exactly are we looking for?" Xinavane whispered, "I'll help you save him and defeat that evil kidnapping tyrant!"

BEAM. Apparently getting a response that didn't involve her getting looked at as though she were -mad- was a very pleasing thing to the highly imaginitive cheetah, who continued to stalk her way through the grass, giggling and flicking her tail from side to side.

Of course, she'd -never- admit that she was having fun with this. Her 'saving the prince' was srs bzniss. In fact, if it had been mentioned, she probably would have thrown a fit and denied the entire thing, before resuming her epic quest.

Unless the right question she couldn't -quite- answer was asked. Namely the one about who they were exactly looking for. While 'The Prince' was a good answer, she was half-hoping that she wouldn't have to describe the non-existant prince.

"WELLL.. we're looking for the Tyrant first.." she whispered hushedly, slowly upping her sneaking skills. While playing was fun, it was more believable if she were to -actually- sneak through the grass instead of be loud as all everything. "You'll know it's the tyrant when you see him.. he's just so.. TYRANT-y."

While Xinavane had been enthusiastic a moment before, this was just a little bit worrying... were they looking for someone who had been completely made up? It would certainly be a bit tricky to find them if that were the case... but they were faking it right?

She just had to... well she figured she had to make up what the tyrant looked like. So... how had she always pictured the lions who were chasing her family? Big and scarey... and stupid. Stupid had always been importnt.

"Okay... so, let's get him." Xinavane decided. She had to remember, she was going with this... and besides the fact that it was all very strange, it was also... well, she was actually starting to have fun. And use her imagination, which -even for someone as young as she was- was sadly in very ill-repair from poor use.

In her mind, this 'made up tyrant' was oh so very real. At least he would be for the time being. Then later she'd grow bored of him, attack the 'imaginary fiend' (often in the shape of an insect of some sort) before resuming some NEW quest to take something of some semblance of a trophy of her victory back to the prince.

Most likely it would be a stick.

However, none of this was shared with her companion as Verdandi continued to crawl through the grass with a happy purr, only pausing once to actually respond to the given 'Let's go get him' that, while it didn't sound very enthusiastic, Verdandi didn't mind bending that little bit of reality for her happiness.

"We'll show him what happens when you kidnap the Prince, won't we Xina~?" she piped happily, dubbing her co-knight with a nickname.

Xinavane was actually starting to have quite a good time... realizing that they were never actually going to find said tyrant. In fact, she was looking forward to finding their... 'stick' enemy. This imagination thing was really starting to grow on her. She would have to teach her siblings about it at some point or other...

She crawled along the ground beside her new friend. She had even started to purr... she didn't purr. She never purred. That was odd. This 'reality bending' stuff was quite exciting. She really wanted to try some more of it... though she didn't dare suggest that none of this was real. Somehow she doubted that Verdandi would appreciate it. Why cause a fuss if... well, okay, Xinavane had been known to cause a fuss or two, but never when she was having fun.

"Yeah... we'll show him exactly what happens when they cross strong knights like us." Xinavane liked the way that sounded. Knights. She had never thought of being one... but that would be fun right?

It was a mini orchestra of purring. Not a very melodic orchestra, but an orchestra none the less! They'd have to get a bird or something to help them out with making the orchestra sound pretty. Birds sounded pretty..... right? Verdandi was formulating this thought in her head, proof of her lack of.. diligence as being a knight

Nobody would ever know that, though. She'd keep that all in her mind.

Verdandi poked her head up over the grass again, even as the lion spoke, a grin forming on her face, before she ducked her head back below the grass. "Yes. We'll show him!" she whispered excitedly, then coughed once and attempted to make the best 'serious' face she could, not being very successful at it, before she dropped her voice to an even lower whisper.

"Okay, Xina... there's a tree up there.. let's split up and meet up over there so we can come up with our plan, alright?" she asked/'ordered', as she was the 'senior' knight and got to do that, before she suddenly crawled off into the grass ahead of herself silently, not even waiting to see if that plan was 'Okay'.
