-- AIM Rp between Jasisi and Ushaufu ((Kisoni & DFA))
"DAADDYYYYYYYYYY" Jasisi's voice echoed through the pridal caves. As usual, the pride was scattered meagerly around the area, and the dead-looking girl only got the faintest of cross looks as she ran through the network of cliff-caves in search of her elusive father. It may have been urgent.. but it may of not. By this time, most had realized that Jasi's version of "urgent" was a highly fluctuating, somewhat challenged thing. She could have spotted a rather remarkable cloud, for all most knew or would be concerned.
Oh god, not again.
When it wasn't Jasisi screaming for him, it was another of her siblings. And when it wasn't one of the cubs, there was some dumb form of drama amongst the adults that he was forced to listen to, and at times, actualy comment and be rational about (since when had he been reduced to being the RATIONAL one anyhow? When had this happened? When had it started?). A groan was released from the large, green male as he flopped one of his paws over his face, almost as if an attempt to hide away, "I'm here, Jasisi, second cave to the bloody right," he didn't have to yell; the network of caves carried his voice rather well. He wasn't going into what said network of caves ALSO carried .... rather well.
"DADDY!" The girl turned as directed and pounced upon the large, green bolder of a father she called hers. She was large for a mistie, already, but her father was gigantic by comparison to anyone else in the pride. That never seemed to bother her--nor did the troll-esque teeth peeking over his upper jaw, or the fact that he was missing half of his mane. If asked, Jasisi would have claimed her father as the most handsome lion in the world.
The girl pressed her side against his and settled down against her father, turning her head to rest her chin upon his shoulder. And in a second it seemed as if she had forgotten her message, for the girl merely smiled at him and closed her eyes.
Despite the fact he'd seemed rather unhappy about interrupting his nap only moments earlier, the large male shifted as soon as his growing daughter pounced on him. Her frame was already showing signs she'd grow past mistweaver size... but that was to be expected, "What, exactly, were you looking for me for?" the world were drawled out as if he were bored, even though his actions betrayed them; he reached out and took a n** at the girl's ears, "Focuss, girl, focuss. You're so scatter brained. One would think you were born with wings and rather than a lion you were a bird."
Jasisi giggled, "Uncle varg would be happy. He could teach me to fly!" She lifted a paw to bat at her father's muzzle. "What... OH OH!" Her eyes twinkled and she grinned at him, "I saw a fish in the river!"
A snort from the large male, "Varg would be happy regardless," it was true. The avian was rather pleased with life, even if Deception knew the old fool wanted a mate; he was hoping that with the rains and coming green... more birds would flock over the territory. Another snort followed, "A fish, huh," he arched a brow as he reached to groom the pelt of her neck, "What'd you do WITH it, then? ... if anything."
"With it?" She blinked, "it was under the water, daddy."
"You didn't catch it?" a brow arched again, "I thought that... Maji-dude had taught the others to fish. Or what not." Ushaufu, personaly, had always rathered prey beast. Fish were just not... filling enough
"It was deeeep down." She nodded, "And daddy... i'd have to get in the water." The girl whispered these last words with a certain amount of horror that was likely to make any adult laugh. Unfortunately she was serious. Had she been born any sooner and that vehmenent feeling might have been reversed, but as it was, Jasisi--as most of her siblings--had a tendency to take the water for granted.
A pause followed the girl's words, and then the god's brows knitted together, "Jasisi, honey, love... baby," another pause, "Are you afraid of the water?" the word was stressed out, as if he couldn't quite believe it. As if the fact a mistweaver (or half of one), afraid of water, were a hilarious notion, all in all.
Then, he sat up, allowing the girl to slide off of him, "Do you know how to swim?"
Jasisi's ears flattened down. "Water is icky!!" She made a disgusted face and slid onto the floor, turning it up upon him. "Why would i wanna swim? I can just.. stay out of the water."
Laughter rang through the caves, "Icky, you say?" it was amusing, for some reason beyond him. In fact, as it was, the god had half a notion to reach down for the girl, grab her from the scruff of her neck, carry her to a pool and drop her in. Of course, then again, not only would this have been MEAN but it'd have been imposible at this point. The cubs... were no longer cubs, but rather, practicaly teens at that point, "Well there are times we have to LEARN to do things we don't WANT to. What would happen if you fell into deep water? Would you be able to swim out? hmmmm?" of course, the words had a double meaning, even if they were not meant that way.
Jasisi began to answer, then stopped and considered it with a perplexed look. Perplexion turned to frustration and a very distinct pout. "I don't wanna," She grumbled. Yet it could be noted that she'd gotten to her feet anway, and though her paws dragged, she would follow him. Teenager was definitely the right age for this set. "But its.. there are.. FISH in there!"
"You did not answer my question though; would you be able to get out of the deep ater?" a distinct smile was curling upon his maw, even if it was the ghost of one. It was amusing to think that he'd never really smiled like this before Kizuka... he'd never cared to smile in a way that didn't show him being a distinct a*****e to someone else.
It'd become routine by then though. Slowly, he lifted himself to his feet too and nudged the girl with his maw, guiding her outside, "Right, there's fish there. Fish that can NOT eat you. What, do you expect the fish to .... tickle you to death or something, love?"
"They're slimy." She protested with a grumpy noise even as she followed him obediently. His children might not have been very rebellious, but they certainly did have their bratty moments. "Slimy and weird lookin'."
The girl frowned, looking away from him as she finally answered begrudgingly, "Noicudn't."
Amusingly enough, he didn't begrudge the 'cubs' in the least, for their attitude; after all, they were indeed a chip off the old block, as far as he was concerned, "S'what I though, eh," he told her as he guided her to the nearest pool of water. Judging it from the shore, he could tell it was just deep enough that she'd have to swim, and shallow enough that he'd have been able to stand inside the water, "Fish are tasty for a snack, yah know, girl," and then he motioned towards the water, "After you."
When they got down to the water's edge, Jasisi balked. Her ears flew back flat to her scalp and tail tucked between her hind legs as she looked in disgust at the liquid. Funny how she'd been the first to suggest mud sports when they were younger. "But.. daaaaadddd."
"But Jasiiiiiiiisi," it was clear she was his father's daughter, if anything, "Jump in, girl. Or I'm shoving you in," and he meant it. That much was obvious from the almost mischivieous arch of his brows and the way his red eyes gleamed under the shade of the trees, "Go on now, I'm sure you'll LIKE it when you get inside," well, he wasn't sure about THAT, but it was worth a try, at least.
That was when she turned a rebellious look towards him. After a minute of glaring, though, she seemed to realize that he was serious. Cub-like aspects gone now, the teen trasfered her hate filled looks upon the pool of water instead. Grumbling things under her breath, she marched her way rigid into the cold clear pool. Damn the water, damn the fish, and damn daddy!!
"its wet."
He stared right back at her for that full minute, his own eyes just as stubburn in their resolve. Of course, this was a battle he was bound to win though, and he seemed to know it, "All the way in, Jasisi, all the way," and this said, he raised himself off the ground to follow her inside, his paws sinking into the liquid, and this his frame, "That's the point love; it'd be rather odd if water weren't wet, don't you think?"
"Not if it were made that way." She responded in a sing-song manner. Somehow she managed to still sound pissed despite the song-like quality, and finally made her way in so far that she was standing tip-paw to keep her head up. Thus far she had't freaked, at least, but she did eye one of the fish very warily. "I should find the god that made water."
