Story: Takes place in Ancient china where the Han are broken up into three kingdoms known as Shu, Wei, and Wu. Each one diffrent they fight for China and to rule all. Lei Bei, leader of Shu that wishes to recreate the Han trys his best to restore the fallen Han dynasty. He's reknowned as the good team. Cao Cao, leader of Wei are reknowned to be more ruthless kind of kingdom. Yet powerful and very deadly as well. They strive to rule mainly for power. Wu, led by Sun Jian and his children strive to rule all of china and care and protect family. They're the more neutral and balanced kingdom of the other two.

Gameplay: Wonderful really. It never changed much and its still the same as DW 4. Five was more of an improvement on graphics than gameplay to be honest. It's a hack slash kind of game. There are many beautiful characters to choose from with a set of costumes and unique weapon style. Play a general and fight to help the side your on towards victory. Story Mode is where you choose a character and play they're own detailed story through the era based on them. Theres also Co-Op and Versus mode. Also challange modes for player entertainment.

Graphics: Very good for the x-box. It was an improvement from DW 4 in gamegraphic and character designs mainly. Da Qiao for example looks much better and her style and look matches her personality far better than the last.

Voices: Not bad. You get to choose between two languages. English and Japanese. Some actors/actresses are better than others of course but it was a fine selection. Charcters like Zhang He and *maybe* (can't remember) Gan Ning have slight changes. Some characters have been changed but I don't recall who.

Music: Same theme music that never changes but is remixed and changed to a more rockish kind of tune. The music in this game is rather nice and matches each part. I like the slow and tranquil tradtional chinese tune in the "Encylapedia" mode. It makes browsing there better. ^_^
On the other hand, just like the other games you can unlock the music in gameplay mode to check it out in-game.

Characters: Character models have changed for some! But you still have two of the older costumes if you play a character out and unlock extra costumes. Most characters look wonderful actually like Zhen Ji and Da Qiao. SunShangXiang looks good wiht a slighly longer puffy short hair cut then a trimed boy cut. Charaters like Zhang He and Ma Chao looked nice as well.
While others were a diappointment. For example: Gan Ning looked terrible with white/blonde WHITE and brown tip hair. It was a terrible choice.
There were new characters like Cao Pi (yay), Zai Cai, Xing Cai (ew), Guan Ping, and....the guy with the numchucks that hate Gan Ning whoes name I can't recall.

Rate: 10/10
Theres not much. I don't like some characters like Xing Cai but those I dont' have to play so that doesn't matter. Otherwise, the game was fun and the graphics were great. CG was funny on some scenes and it was wonderful graphics!!
However, there were some things that I rather missed liek the general vs. general battle that was taken out in this one. This game also doesn't have the 'general' bodyguard. Instead you get one special person that joins you and have speical abilities as they lvl up and fight with you. They change as more and more people request to join you 'kingdom'.
I still love the gameplay which thankfully wasn't much diffrnent just better and the characters were still attractive and stunningly fun to be.

Extra Fact: Over in japan around this time. Koei released DW trading cards!! There are starter sets of Wei, Shu, and Wu. And more unique cards as you collect. heart
