 Kunye was feeling a little... tense.
Yes, tense was a good word for it. Both her ears, and her tail were perked high in alertness, listening for anything that would try to come to close to her.
It had not been long since her brother left to find them food, but she already eagerly awaited his return. She felt too awkward alone in such a foreign land.
She wasn't afraid really. She doubted her brother would have gone too far. If she called out, he would likely hear her and come running back. Yes. Probably.
Her tail dropped a bit so that it could lash about, back and forth behind her. He would be back soon.

He often wandered off, it wasn't like anyone acctually noticed if he was missing or not. His coat didn't make him stand out enough for him to be a missing link in the pride. Too dull to even be looked at really.
So he padded along quietly, his head held quite low. he wondered if he vanished if anyone would ever notice he was missing? he doubted it.
He hardly noticed that someone was on his little touring route, intil he was nearly on top of her. What ws it? he'd never seen a cheetah before, maybe it was some sort of very skinny lion.
"Uhm hello?" He muttered his ears lifting forwards. "I'm sorry I hope I'm not interrupting, I didn't realise anyone was staying here." He muters, his paws fidgeting int he undergrowth.

Kunye nearly squealed at being caught so off guard, swinging around quickly to face the once speaking to her. Though, actually, she was a bit off. Rather obvious for him, but she was pretty sure she got the right direction!
" Wh- who are you? No, wait, what are you? " She asked quickly, and in an unsure tone, her unseeing eyes wide with worry. He ears flattened back slowly and she couldn't help but press back against the tree behind her lightly.
How could she have been so careless to lose herself in thought like that..?

Guppi's ears flickered. "hey calm down, i won't hurt you." he grimaced his soft, lilac eyes looking at the odd female. She sort of looked like a very slim lion. Maybe she was a lion?
"Uhm, My names Guppi and I'm a lion, can't you tell?" he was rather oblivious to the fact that she wasnt looking straight at him, but that was another thing he had never seen.
Blindness was something he had never heard of. "and what are you? you kind alook like a very skinny lioness." He chuckled.

She did relax a little at his tone, frowning slowly. He didn't seem to want to hurt her.. But one could never be too careful.
" I'm not a lion... " She said slowly after a moment, sliding to sit down. " I'm a Cheetah. "
" And no.. I can not tell. I can not see. " She said, perking her ears up high to listen to any movements the male made. She glanced down a moment, a bit unsure of proceeding but... She sensed no danger... " I am called Kunye. "

"Ohh.." Guppi trailes off slightly, he'd never seen a cheetah before, here in the jungle, all he really ever saw was lions and leopards on occassion. "uhm.." He didn't know what else to say to the female, she couldn't see, why not?
"Why can't yo see? Your eyes are open arn't they." He tilted his head curiously, this was the strangest thing he'd ever encountered, perhaps that made him sheltered, but he'd never seen a blind creature before, let alone a blind cheetah. A whole new species had just opened up to him.
"So uh, are all cheetahs like you? Skinny and can't see with their eyes open?" He raised a curious brow, he didn't mean to be brash, but he was feeling rather baffled by this meeting.

She tilted her head slowly at his words, a frown coming to her lips. What odd things to say, and to ask...
" I guess other cheetah look somewhat like me.. I wouldn't really know. "
She let her eyes shut, before tilting her head down a bit. " And no. I'm sure there are some who can not see, but most cheetah are perfectly able to see. When I was born.. Something was.. wrong with me. I have eyes, like you, or anyone else. But they just don't work... "
She re-opened her eyes, slowly tilting her head up to him again.

Guppi shuffled his paws on the ground looking overly sheepish. "Oh..uhm..look I'm sorry I didn't mean to be insensitive, it's just, I'v never seen a cheetah before and my mother has never told me about them..I shouldn't have assumed" He lowers his own head looking down at the ground. he felt very foolish asking all of these questions now and in such a blahzey manner.
"I didn't mean to upset you, I'm sorry you can't see..its uh..maybe I should go." He mumbles keeping his gaze onhis paws. he'd made a right pigs ear of this conversation now hadn't he.

" W- wait! " She said quickly, standing up. " It's... It's okay, I'm not upset... " He didn't really seem scary, and she was just as curious about him.
" Maybe you could make it up to me...? " She asked hesitantly. " I've never met a lion before... I want to know what you look like.. " She murmured out, quickly ducking her head, and shifting her front paws nervously.

"Uhm" Guppi looked heavily baffled now. How was she going to tell what he looked like. "Well..I'd love to help but unless you can borrow my eyes how are you gunna do that?" he questioned his soft lilac eyes resting on the slender female.
She was pretty, he had to admit and even though he didn't know what a cheetah was, if this was what a cheetah was he would definately like to see more of them. She looked so elegant in his eyes, even more so than his own mother whom he felt was very regal.

She gave him one of her sweet smiles, moving forward to him carfully, her muzzle brushing his as she started to move past him, curiously nudging her nose along his body to not only feel out his shape, but to take in his scent as well.
They were not so different, were they..? Mouth... Mane.. Shoulders.. Back. He was easily larger, and bulkier than herself. Thicker legs, more muscle. While a Cheetah would have the speed, if caught by these lions it would be a bad bight. There was alot of power in these creatures...
Though, he brother was wrong about the scent... This one didn't just smell life fur. He smelt rather nice, much like the gungle around them.

Guppi tenced slightly when she started to nose about his body. Was this how she saw him? It must have been, she went over his whole chunky frame with her nose. "hey I'm ticklish there" He chuckled as she nosed at his stomach his belly tencing away without very much provocation.
"I'v never seen a cheetah here before, what uhm, brings you here?" he asks while she's making her way around his body his pale lilac eyes resting on Kyune for as long as he could until she moved around to the otehr side of his body and tere fore had to turn his head round.

She continued along her exploration as she replies, tail lashing out behind her in excitement at finally knowing the shape of a lion.
" My brother. He brought me here with him. He's always traveling and exploring new places. And.. Well, when he said he was going to the jungle.. I really wanted to come, and see what it was like. "
She finally came back around to his face, exploring it more thoroughly. No. They really weren't that different. They were both feline creatures built for different roles. " .. And you..? Do you live here? "

Guppi sighed, lowering his head slightly so she could get a better feel of his furry tuft that would one day be his mane.
"yeah i live here unfortunately. I live in a pride run by females." He sighs softly. "I'm a little unpopular there, my coat you see is very bland and well my pride likes bright colours so i'm at thebottom of the pikin's list."
he cleared his throat. "Your brother huh? Where do you usually live then? You don't look like you were built to live in the jungle."

She let out a light, almost mewling sound, smiling as she nuzzled the soft, puffy fur. She'd never felt anything quite like that before, and she rather liked it.
" Mmm. But you're very kind... " She frowned, resting her head against that growing mane. " To put so much importance into looks.. I'll never understand people like that I suppose."
A soft huff escaped her as her blue eyes slide shut. He was soft, and warm, She was quite happy to stay right where she was a while.
" We live a ways away from here, in the Savannah. Flat lands, that are much better for running. Even I can run there, since there isn't much to trip over. I live near to my parents, and a few other family members. And Afiya returns there often enough. "
