Being her first year of life there was no way should could have known a summer storm was comeing. Hunkered down under a tree the litty filly shivvered, watching the waves crash up against the rocky shore as if they were determined to make their way to the land. Her red and white hair fell in stands around a cyan face, odd peppered markings of white and black, topped with scarlet and ebony stripes make her stand out in stark contrast to the brown backdrop of the tree. The rain fell, suddent and abrupt with huge raindrops, the likes of wich she had never seen in her short life. She had seen gentle rains, and warming spring days, but this sudden attack of wind and rain was all new. And she wasnt sure if she liked it.

Chilled form the rain she was vaugly warm that the air around her was actually warm, summer seeping into the days around her and allowing the plants to bloom. Her eyes scanned and with dismay saw the little patch of rock flowers she had been admiring when the storm struck being tossed around in the wind, a petal or two being ripped from their bodies, but otherwise standing strong. She was envious, she had been so startled by the sudden assault that her legs still trembled. She watched them, and a sudden bolt of lightning struck, the thunder booming through the air and lighting the morning sky, causeing much to her dismay for her to squeak.

Flying. Why was it so hard for a son of the most awesome flutter mare and super cool dad to lift into the skies and be free as a bird. Granted the wind wasn't being nice at all as each time he tried lifting upwards he was promptly being tossed back down. Well surely he wouldn't learn to fly this way if he kept kissing the ground more than soar toward the clouds.

There had to be someway to get around this...

So he snorted with all his might with a great leap and finally he was airborne. But one thing the sparking violet hued colt didn't account for was the gust of wind pushing him higher and higher. At first it was victory as the wind tussled his mane and tail, the surreal feeling of his wings taking him higher and higher. But, after a bit when his wings weren't even moving as he moved further away he panicked. Every fiber in his being was screaming that this wasn't right. The more he struggled the further he was pushed along the current. Things passed by so abruptly he squealed with a bit of terrified shiver.

How long it took him to crash into the ground was any body's guess, but he was entirely rain soaked and scared. Shivering he looked around for a place to hide possibly get a little dry. There was no way his wings would even work they were that soaked.

So he stood there like a drowned creature seeking solace not realizing someone else was also stuck out in the grasp of a storm, though she had a better spot then he keeping out of this little nightmare.

Tsunami had curled around herself, her tail flicked over her nose, her little body trembling, then through the rage of the storm she heard a squeal and a crash. She startled to her feet, her eyes a little wide, fearing a tree may have fallen, crimson eyes wide and momentarily panicked. She blinked and realized what she was seeing. A Little flutter foal, standing soaked and shivering in the storm just as she was, but he had the added worry of his wings beeing tugged and pulled by the wind, his hair soaked and whipping around his face.

She blinked for a moment, confused, because he had not been there a moment ago. " ...HEY! " she shouted, gathering her courage and darting into the violent rain, her ears going flat as she became resoaked by the falling water. " d-dont you know y-you shouldent be out h-here!! " she said, trying to sounds reprimanding but through her shivering it just did not work. She wonder what could have possessed him to come here in such weather.

The lightning struck again, makeing the little filly sweak, the bolt of electricit visable somewere off to the east of them. She shook " Y-you should get out of the r-rain... " she said, and when the lightning struck again her courage fled her, sending her back to the relative shelter of the spreading oak tree.

Limdur was soaked to the core, his coat no longer shining as the sparling namesake he was granted from his mother. Proud Shaylee who was fearless and beautiful, he longed to grow into the son she always dreamed of with his other two siblings. He was completely lost and so far from home right now. The pure shock of that incident left him breathless and scared to even budge as the lightning struck high above his head.

Things were so blurry as his little lungs heaved leaving him for a moment to think he heard someone hollering to him through the gusts of wind belting his little shivering form.

But wait... no it was a filly that was calling to him as she approached rather quickly. Was he dreaming still in the safety of the clearing he wondered. No. she was there standing, her own body shivering from the furious mean spirited weather pouring downward.

It took Limdur a bit to awaken from the trance that he was in, usually such a spirited little fellow. Though when the lightning crashed so close his hooves and maw rattled he realized just how bad this really was. About to say something he realized that she was running for a sanctuary out of the rain.

Willing his feet to move he darted after her praying there was room for him too. "Hey waait!...."

Being the smaller of the two he was certain there would be... or at least he hoped.

Tsunami darted under the tree, a little whimper escapeing her, she raounded about to see the little colt following her, and she scooted over so the could both huddle under the tree, between the bushes that blocked the rain. Her once vibrant cyan coat hard darkened to a murky teal, marching the turbulent ocean wich she had a perfect veiw of.

The lightning struck once more, and her legs wobbled and collapsed, leaving her a little shivering heap. She watched him run up, her ears flat back against her head, sopping wet, looking like as if she had just been dunked in the sea several times. Oh how her father would be so disappointed. the daughter of Tempest Gale, the proud leader of a once glorious herd of storm chasing soquili..... afraid of the storm. It made her sad.. her father would have been so disappointed.

" How did you get here? " she asked, as he sought the safety of the tree covering. " I looked up and you were just... there.. " she asked, quiet enough that she could just barely be heard over the rain. Did he just come from the clouds? Or mabey... from the sea?

As the wind pushed him along he skidded under the tree sopping wet, his form shivering so badly he was terrified of everything going on. Once he got settled though as his legs gave way beside this new filly, he was a bit more at ease though the constant rumble made him jump now and then.

He gulped trying to peer around as the limp mass upon his forehead hung so heavily with wetness it was a bit hard to see. Shaking his head he cleared the droplets that merged his locks still being onry as they fell back were they were. Wings still heavy drooped a bit just over her with a faint sparkle to them.

"Well.." he began his teeth chattering, "I was trying to fly back home... and before I knew it I was here." Looking around he frowned, "Thing is... where is here? It smells so different..." Poor Limdur didn't know how to react to this loss, a feeling he was so far from home just because he wanted to stretch his wings and be like his mom.

"Guess I hit the ground pretty hard didn't I?...." the thought was amusing him, " For you to hear something through all that." He was laughing now looking at her finally seeing her icy colored coat and the designs. It was silly for him to regret wanting to learn to fly, because its what he dreamed of.

"I'm Limdur... What's your name?" he asked feeling a bit warmer yet he still chattered now and then.

Tsunami shivered, listening to the little flutters tale, huddling under his wing, gratefull for the extra shelter. Trying to fly? In this weather? SHe smiled, only faintly, to nervouse with the crashing of thunder and the howl of wind to do much more " Yeah, i thought a tree had crashed, im amazed you didnt hurt yourself " She said, looking at him, she had seen no blood, and he had appeared to be walking just fine.

" My name is Tsunami... but you can call me Sue if you want " she said, huddeling down, attempting to curl herself into a ball, her hair plastered to the sides of her face with water. She watched him battle with his hair.... so wary of his entenna she nosed his forelock out of the way so he could see.

" We are all the way at the sea... Did you start off at the coast at all? " She asked, curiouse if he had flown along the shore or of the wind had dragged him from the inland.

Limdur was warming up finally which brought out that unique silliness he was graced with in birth. It was good to be around someone else his age in this howling torrent that growled and hissed outside. Kind of reminded him of a wild creature that he was thankful didn't eat him till he found his way to this place.

"The sea? You're kidding me...," he gasped and hid his face with another abrupt crash of lightning outside, "I'm from the clearing near the mountains...". He looked back up shivering toward her really worried that he was in such a predicament now. Any minute his mother would realize him missing and go into one heck of a panic. That wasn't what Limdur wanted at all. He'd heard his mother speak of regret in losing his missing older siblings. It was something she vowed would never happen again. But, Limdur was halfway across the land near the rocking angry waves and the salty air that billowed as if in a hurricane there.

What was he going to do he wondered. Present time being he wasn't going anywhere and neither was Tsumami, so he decided to make the best of the situation.

"What's it like here? Well I mean when its not like a monster outside. Until I learn to fly... I'm kind of stuck here..." He smiled at her flexing his wings a bit. What he wounldn't of given for the sun to shine brightly like his coat used to.
