He made no effort to hide his where abouts, why should he? he was strength. His thick set shoulders hulked before him, his long slender legs thicker than an average cheetahs by far, his golden eyes shommered like small suns in his cockily set head, his ears forwards, his tail low, the tip twitching spasmodically, as all cheetahs did.
Of course, he could smell the lions border, he knew exactly where it was, but he didn't fear lions. He had grown up on fairy tails, empowering cheetahs, he had grown up on the prophecy of the three brothers and even faintly beleived he was one of these aincient heros reincarnated.
he was invincable.
Afiya licked his lips as he crossed the border without a second thought, he was out on an adventure and nothing was going to stop him, why would anyone try any way? He was clearly strong, stronger than any meek lion any way. He smiled, a roguish grin forming on his maw.

Alcippe had quickly found as she aged that the pridelands were insufferably boring. Most of its occupants were so sweet and dull she could feel her teeth rotting. So the young lioness was always sniffing out new ways to cause a bit of obvious trouble. It was strangely a lot of work to be "bad" here, but she prefered it to the alternative.
She loped along near the borders, keeping her blue eyes sharp. She secretly hoped to see a hyena or some such thing, so she could get in a ltitle scuffle. But there was nothing of the sort around. How disappointing. Seeing a russet bolder she jumped over and lept to stand along it's surface, peering out across the swaying grasses. Mmm, it was nice to feel tall. Not that anyone would ever actually grow to this height. The thought made her laugh aloud.

The big male strode along quite proudly, his slender head far above his shoulders. He raised a brow as he saw a small furry dot pop up from behind a boulder. Afiya had heard the story of the cat whom god trapped because of it's curiosity. he never heeded this story, he rpefarred to jump in proverbial guns blazing and go from there. So without furtehr ado, he headed straight for the young lioness marching squarely towards her without a care in the world.
"Hey there kitty, out for a stroll?" he chuckled keeping his eyes on the young female, she was awfully close to the borders. he thought the pridelanders all lived near the center and she didn't look like any border patroller he'd ever seen. "You know it's dangerous marching along the borders? You might get eaten by a hyena." he smirked, he was feeling extra full of himself today and standing up to a young lion and bragging was making his ego soar.

Alci was able to catch sight of him only just before he came within speaking range. He was, after all, the perfect color to blend in well to the gold grasses. When she did see him she raised two dark eyebrows, curiosity reflected openly in her expression. A cheetah, hmm? And odd looking one at that. Wasn't he a little big? Well, he was no hyena, but he'd have to do for some entertainment.
"I was actually hoping to eat myself a hyena instead," she jested, though by her rough tone and her grin it was almost eeriely too serious. "Besides," she scratched two claws along the bolders surface absently, "Danger's what's fun, after all.

He rolled his thick set shoulders. A feisty one? He smirked his bright yellow eyes looking up to her, he took a step back, not for fear, but to better size her up. He was no little scardey cheetah, he'd grown up big and strong, just like the prophecys cheetah, he was huge for a cheetah, nearer the size of an adult lion really only more slender and longer in the leg.
"Eat a hyena? now why would you do that hmm? they taste like old bones and mould." he beamed his tail lashing from side to side in a long sweep. "Cheetah aint ont he menu either kitty so don't even think it." he chuckled, and waited, he expected ehr to pounce and he was rady for her. Well heer was that adventure he was afeter only, well she was kinda little to be fighting with. He would have to go easy onher. What a drag.

"Just to say I have," she replied with a smile, "Everyone here finds them very scary, silly as that is. Imagine if I told some of the little ones I had eaten one!" She laughed at the idea, her white teeth showing openly. She wasn't serious about eating one, of course. They smelled nasty, so she knew better than to think they tasted any different.
"Ahh, now now, saying that just makes it boring to fight with you," She told him with a roll of her eyes. Someone asking for a fight was no fun at all. She liked taking them by surprise...or at least catching them unwilling.

Afiya chuckled brightly. "yes I suppose that would be something fun to brag about. Pff, though hyenas arn't scary, they make stupid noises and run around like clowns." He yawned casually, though one eye remained fixed on the young female.
He raised a brow at her simple idea of no attack when challanged."I always forget lions don't really like to do anything do they?" he chuckled "not like cheetahs we run like the wind and fight like demons, lions just sleep all day." He let a puurr roll over his lips, it was a beautiful sound, something only cheetahs could really do. "The names Afiya, kitten, thought I should introduce myself, after all thats what a gentleman does even when he meets a lioness."

"Hyena's make better stories than anything," She agreed with a shrug. They were simply tales meant to frighten cubs to staying where they belonged. Not like that ever worked with her.
"You call that being a gentleman?" Alci scoffed, almost laughing, "I don't think being rude is one of a gentleman's qualifications. But that's alright. Gentlemen are boring. So boring." She didn't care what he said about lions. He was just a overgrown cheetah, it wasn't like he knew anything. Besides, the pridelands did give that sort of bad reputation. But he had never met her family. No, they were far from the type to stay about sleeping.

Afiya laughed a single barking 'HA' at her words, he was starting to like this girl. "Well clowns shouldn't be made in to tyrants, they just don't suit the part" he scoffed flickering his long tail.
"Not gentlemanly enough? Well, it's not like I have tried." He raised a brow, keeping his head raised high, he rolled his shoulders, those thick mucles tencing as he stood there and watched her. "So do you have a name miss kitty? Or are you to simply be a rare enigma for the rest of forever hmm?"

"And would you suit the part better?" She asked with a smile. She didn't believe he did. But then, she had been raised to fear no one. She feared boredom more than any living being, anyway.
"Miss. How disgusting. Mmm, but if you really want to know," She rolled her eyes briefly, looking to the sky as she slid her paw along the scratch marks she had made earlier. She looked back at him then with glinting eyes and a crocked smile, "My name is Alcippe. Though Alci suits me just fine."

Shaking his thick set skull, the sandy, golden male smiled breifly lowering his eyes. "Alci hmm? well Alci, yes I do suit it but you're clearly not the kind of girl that wants to be romanced and adored. You want a fight and an adventure." He paused for a moment and licked his lips.
"So leave your borders and travel with me for a day and a night and we'll see how brave you are after it hmm?" It was a strange offer perhaps, but Afiya had always been one of these spur of the moment types. When an idea hit him and it sounded like fun he was quite willing to break the proverbial mold and travel with someone he didn't even know. in to dangers, fun or what ever else the world flashed up on his travels.

She laughed, "Tyrants romance and adore? That's something I haven't heard before." She shook her head. What little sense this cheetah made. But, at least he was amusing. Far more amusing than those within her pride's borders.
She grinned suddenly showing white fangs. She wasn't supposed to leave. She had also been taught that women were superior to men...following along with one was simply not allowed. Fabulous! She loved breaking rules.
"Deal, though if you were looking for someone to play a damsal in distress, you might need to look a little further," she said, jumping down lightly from her perch to join him in the grass.

He let one of those single, loud laughs roll off his lips once again, "Last thing I need is a damsel in distress, someone to adventure with, well now thats far more interesting in the scheme of things."
He stretched out his claws and lifted his tail back in to it's cocky, walking angle. "You comin'? Hope you can keep up stumpy." he chidded strotting off at an easy wolfs lope his long legs making him look like he glided through the golden fronds.
He glanced back, his bright, honey golden eyes glistening in the sunlight. It would be nice to have a partner in crime, he missed his brothers, but they were busy and he had to find others to have fun with. This fiesty little lass was certainly going to be at least fun for a little while. She seemed to be up for anything.

Alci loped quickly after him. It wasn't as hard to keep up as it might have been for someone else her age. Her mother and father, strong hunters and warriors both, had kept her and her sisters strong since they were born. She knew how to keep pace and she knew how to be quick. She didn't worry, anyway, of him out-running her. It didn't matter how much stronger he was compared to the rest of his kind. If he went at a crazy speed, he'd run out of gas eventually. And if they were supposed to be off "adventuring" that simply wouldn't do.
She came along just beside him, her tail swishing idly behind her as she went, "Good. I can do intersting. As long as you don't mind it being a little...unconventional." She grinned. As if she cared if he minded.

He clicked his tongue then looking down at the young femme. he was no fool, he could keep up his wolfs lope all day, but to speed up and run at that maniac speed was just suicide and would put an end to his adventuring for the day.
"Unconventional eh? Well that sounds like fun, pick a direction unconventional one. I have no idea how far we can get in a day and a night but as the lady of the party, perhaps you should pick the way we wish to rome on this endeavour?"
