This Inn boasts really good service so long as those taking refuge there are able to pay them in full. The price is fairly reasonable as they see it, seeing as they have meals delivered up to rooms and provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. They're connected with the pub next door that's known as the Briar Bramble Pup.

They have an upstairs, which is where some of the beds are, though they also have ground level floors as well and a stable if you're needing to keep anything in it. The Inn Keeper hates animals in the Inn so if he catches anyone with them in his establishment he is swift to kick them out and keep their money.

Enjoy your stay.

Lucian walks into the small Pub connected to the Inn, his metal hands behind his back and a jolly smile painted onto his face. He was here to grab a couple of Soldiers by the ears and haul them back to Training, but there was no harm in a quick beverage before those unpleasantries. He gently sits down on one of the bar stools, expecting to catch a venirial disease just by making contact with the cushion. "Drinks all round!" He shouted to a large cheer from the patrons, he hadn't bothered to count them before. "Well, Drinks all around this general area!" He shouted again, this time to an accompany of grunts and in one instance a bottle being thrown at his head, he turns back and says "I'll have Absinthe" He said simply, he always liked Absinthe, it was very flammable. He gave him a small shot glass which Lucian politely pushed back, "Try again son" He said happily, the Bartender handed him the bottle and he nodded. "You do have to pay you know" The Bartender said reproachfully, reaching for the bat below the bar. Lucian grinned and said, "I'm General 'Inferno' Lucian, don't think about it" The Bartender slowly put his hands on the bar meekly.

Beside the pub inside the Inn, there lay the other general, completely hung over from last nights little 'party'. And for a 'party', she means chugging down at least four bottles of rum before passing out on the bar counter. Her men were unlucky enough to have to carry their commanding officer to the Inn to recover. Amnity sat up from the bed and gripped her head, cursing as shots of pain surged through her system. It seemed to be a routine now a days, getting a hang over and sleeping it off, she had gotten used to it. She got off the bed and trudged to the bathroom across the hall, taking a quick bath the wash the smell of alcohol from her hair.

It's too early in the morning to drink. She thought as she walked by the pub. Inside, she could see that her men, along with another set of unknown soldiers, were having drinks all around. Part of her mind told her to just go in and join the fun, but the other half reminded her of her head splitting hangover. Amnity pouted, taking the responsible road and waiting for her soldiers to come out of the pub before they could continue their patrol again. Damn gits...

"General!" One of her men called when he turned and saw her through the window. He waved to her, motioning his commander to come in and have a drink. What he didn't realize was that there were two generals in the area.

Raven was on another one of her early rounds, checking that the guardsmen where up to code and keeping the city safe. As an advisor, she hated doing this job, she was small compared to even the most lightweight guard and often felt pressured into giving good reports... Despite the fact that she rarely lied in them.

But today she had gotten sidetracked in market common, picking up a few herbs for a spell she had been working on for ages. And continuing with the day off theme she had wondered into the pub, a place she almost never went to considering that she was a lightweight in any competition, especially drinking. But why not? She might even find the generals here, both of whom where MIA today... Never mind.

Raven caught sight of Amnity, drunk off her a** as usual. Raven wanted to say something about it, but her shyness held her back and she walked up behind the general, who was so much taller than Raven that the little girl felt drowned out by Amnity's shadow alone. The little Arch-mage huddled close to her staff and mumbled.

"Amnity.... It's inspection day today... you really shouldn't be getting drunk again"

She said, barely audible as she clutched her staff, adding a mousy look to her as she was nearly drowned out by her cloak.

Amnity turned around, recognizing the shy, quiet voice right away. But when she looked, she couldn't see her. "Raven?...Where are- oh." She then looked down and noticed her, a smile played across her lips. The general reached over and ruffled the girl's hair. "Ah, there you are. Damnit Raven, it's like you're getting shorter every day. I don't give a crap about the inspection really....But anyway, how have you Ray? How has life been?" She wanted to start a conversation, the friendly smile not disappearing from her face.

Raven gave a huff, her best imitation of actual assertiveness she could ever give. She hated being treated like a kid, just because she was small didn't mean she was young! for gods sake she was old enough to drink! All the same she held onto her staff, looking off balance and small as always. She didn't comment on the getting shorter part, the general wasn't wearing her arumor so she probably stood up taller making the little raven look even littler.

"Um... I was looking for you and your troops... I didn't see all of them on their rounds..."

She said, lieing as best she could so she didn't get in trouble for buying herbs and other goods for the summoning spell she had been preparing when she should have been checking the rounds. A ruffle could be heard from under her cloak where she shifted her bag of purchases to an even less noticeable place. Raven did her best to sound like a good little advisor who wanted to do her job, but naturally her lieing was less than the best... As always.

Amnity tilted her head and let out a light chuckle when her friend let out a light huff. "I see that I'm not the only one having a rough morning. Lets not think about the rounds right now, I asked how your personal life is. We could talk about the inspection later." She wanted Raven to break out of her shy little shell. She knew that she was a beautiful young woman, but she didn't know why she doesn't show it more often.

Her keen eyes caught sight of her pushing her purchase of herbs aside, as if she didn't already see it before she confronted her. "Some of my soldiers are inside the the pub, if you want, I can call them out to finish their rounds." Amnity looked into the pub and caught one of her men's eyes. She glared dangerously at him, the kind of glare that sent shivers down even the strongest man's spine. He quickly finished his shot of rum and shuffled to the door, collecting his sword, motioning his fellow soldiers to follow before they all get punished. Amnity turned back to Raven, the gentle smile back on her face. "My question stands...How are you Raven? And no lying this time."

Raven wasn't too interested in going into the pub now that she knew all the heavyweight drinkers where already inside raring to go. Naturally she chose to stay where she was, and shifted her stance and her staff so she looked only slightly less shy, and just a bit more stubbornly closed off. She hated lying, so she was really bad at it but the general was more stubborn that she was so why not get it over with.

"I'm fine... I got sidetracked by some good herbs... I hope to finish my summoning by tonight."

She said, smiling a bit as she stared at the ground. Raven really did hope that she finished the summons soon, she felt so bad having to always barrow palace horses and the Nightmare she was hoping to get out of the summons would provide great protection as well as faster transit than any pure-bread of this plane.

(( Nightmare is a big winged horse. Kinda looks like the Threshals described in Harry potter, only everyone can see them. They usualy aren't associated with positive things.))

Amnity saw the smile on Raven's face, and naturally she had to smile back. She had cracked a bit of a hole in her friend's protected little shell, if only she could get her to be more open. "I'm glad to hear it. I see that your mood has brightened up significantly, that's wonderful." She slowly reached forward and placed a gently hand on her head, trying not to startle her with sudden movements. Amnity grinned, leaning forward a bit so she could see Raven's face. "You really should try to smile more Ray....You look really pretty when you do."

"Sir." The soldiers stood at attention behind her, each of them with their swords by their sides. They stood in a straight line, looking straight ahead of them like they were trained to.

The general straightened up, her expression suddenly hardening as she looked at them. "At ease soldiers..." She didn't see them easing up though, they shouldn't, the tone of her voice just sent them in fear. Amnity put her hands behind her back and walked back and forth through the line of soldiers, glaring at them intensely. "Can any of you explain how you ended up in a pub....When you should be making your rounds through the city?" Her voice was strong and piercing, not even close to the kind, gently tone that she used with Raven. "I have the right mind to sent you all to the gallows! Giving Raven here more work then you should." She looked over at Raven and winked, the grin reappearing on her face.

Lucian listened to these proceedings with glee, he knew that they knew he was there, but he just liked watching things rather than getting involved, he stood up eventually and said "Wonderful to see you two again" He said jovially, his eyes closed and his mouth plastered into a warm smile. He was holding the bottle behind his back; he didn't need high command knowing he was near highly flammable liquids, it would be that damn Training session all over again. He grinned as he watched Amnity grilling the Soldiers, it was a classic routine among officers and he admitted to doing it occasionally. He decided to dial up the Crazy Alchemist image he had carefully manufactured, insane and violent got you more respect than friendly and forthwright. "If you wouldn't mind Amnity spare them the Gallows, I haven't made something go boom in hours." He had a small twinkle in his eye that was only noticeable to someone looking for it. "This fine body of...respectable young Gents would make fantastic colours" He said absent-mindedly, turning back to the bar. It was one of his old routines, the conspirational comment to himself.

Amnity raised an eyebrow and looked over at Lucian, barely catching the bottle of alcohol behind his back and the small flash of excitement in his eyes. She kept her composure cold and distant, though her eyes were warm yet stubborn. "Ah, General Lucian...Or should I say, 'Inferno'." When she mentioned his nickname she raised both of her hands and made quotation marks with her fingers, mostly just to mock the pen name he had probably given himself. "I don't think my soldiers are...Strong enough to face the unusual punishments you have for them." Amnity turned back to face her men, her crimson red eyes boring into their mind as the fear was now noticeable in their faces. "....No thank you Lucian, they have enough torture having me as their commander..." She then glanced back at his soldiers, who were now singing irish drinking songs and swaying back and forth from the uncontrolled alcohol content. "You should be more concerned about your soldiers...Seeing as half of them are all jogged up."

Raven chewed on her lip a little as Amnity chewed out her soldiers. They really where quite good at their jobs when they all weren't raging drunk... Maby they should pay them in rum rather than silver and they might get better work ethic out of the lot. When Amnity winked at her, Raven did her best to look the dutiful Advisor and pulled out a bit of parchment and a bit of chalk. Pens where too hard to find, and chalk was good for more than just writing so she used that to scribble down some notes. One of the first being " check wages, Pay in rum might support work ethic". She added that one with a smirk as she took note of the other general being nearby.

"Lucian"

She mumbled under her breath, as she started writing down names of all the guards she recognized in the pub who she could practically smell where raging drunk already. She made some positive note about Amnity and Lucian, and their... 'negative reinforcement of poor behaviour'.

"You shouldn't be here either..."

She said with a sigh, finally thinking that a bar had too many flammable liquids for him to be here for just the drinks. She lowered her head when an idea came to mind. Raven would probably kick herself for it later, but it was something she would have to live with. Somehow she managed to look like wall paper as she walked over to Lucian's side.

"I might not report your 'relapse' if I am occupied by a summoning tonight... it might slip my mind"

She said, trying to sound sly. But somehow the way little Raven looked up at the general with a glint of childish begging suggested something more of a kid asking for candy money rather than an Advisor suggesting a bribe.

((Call him Nightshade))

Lassan appeared from behind Raven, his eyes glinting from underneath his hood.

"Raven." He whispered to her, teeth glinting in the torchlight of the inn. "You are needed by the portal. Some... Instability has occured with it, and it needs to be fixed. As well, the generals are to be ordered to gather their men shortly. We will be heading out to Ter'Lenlar. So says His Imperial Highness."

The advisor was swathed in a dark green cloak, so dark it seemed black. He did not have any visible weapons, but the slight clinking of bottles could be heard as he walked, bottles containing poisons and other such objects, including explosives and various acids.

Lassan was an alchemist, hired into a secretive cloak and dagger society simply named "Death". No subtlety in the name, just Death. He rose through the ranks to attract the attention of the emperor himself, and was tasked to be his bodyguard. The emperor, then 10 years of age, was pleased by his new guard, and never left his company. Lassan was himself quite happy with his new position, and often thinks of the emperor as a little brother, and the emperor considers Lassan to be his older brother.

Lassan is considered as the Heir to the throne, since unless the emperor marries and has a family, he will have no living relatives. However, he has quite fervent opponents among the lords, and even among the council of nobles.

He is feared by all for his secrecy, and often hated, most often hated, by those even of the same rank as him, for his closeness to the emperor.

(( Call who Nightshade?... You? ))

Raven was cut short in her doings, probably bad karma for all she knew. She let out a little meep appropriate for her mousy stature as Lassan suddenly appeared behind her with orders. Her breathing dubbled in pace as she took the new information in. When it finally registered she sighed, it was probably some stupid noble kids throwing stones or something at the portal again.

She couldn't remember how many times she told people not to cross the portal without shutting the door to close the energies in first! If you didn't shut in the energies too much power went into the portal and it became unstable. It was just a door! Jeze, how much more idiot proof could she have made it?! She shook her head and looked up at Lassan, deer in a headlights all over.

"A-a-are you t-taking my r-rounds then?... Un-t-till I can f-f-fix the portal t-t-that is."

She stuttered, Lassan always scared her. Nothing against alchemists, but Lassan's history, at least what was known of it, wasn't exactly squeaky clean. The fact that she had to work with him scared the holy jezuz out of her. Usually Raven went out of her way to avoid him.

Amnity felt the sudden presence behind Raven, and automatically her short sword as unsheathed and by her side. When she heard a familiar voice whispering to Raven though, she sighed and put her dagger like weapon away. "Nightshade..." She mumbled, a bit of disdain in her voice as though he were the deadly plant he was named after. The general turned around and sighed again, disappointed that her hunch was correct. "Good morning to you too Nightshade, I hope you're having a pleasant morning?" Her voice was a bit sarcastic, then again, she was talking to Lassan. It wasn't that she had anything against the alchemist, it's just that all of his morals are basically everything she stands against. He barely talks, and when he does he talks in riddles. He doesn't seem like a guy that enjoys life, nor a man that likes a bottle of rum now and then. Despite all of this, she admires him immensely, he has many virtues and he is very honorable. She frowned though when she saw Raven scared again. Damnit, I finally just got her to smile too....Thanks a lot Nightshade...
