In the place of old earth, to the north, is a continent that rests in the middle of a vast, dark ocean. On this continent of Ageon there are five kingdoms. One of the kingdoms is called Erion with rulers that became more and more vicious as generations ticked past. The history of Erion is marked with greed, betrayal and bloody war. Now, as time has carved its way through Ageon, the marks of pain from Erion have been left upon the kingdoms and very people themselves….

Even today Erion’s rulers are known to be ambitious and cruel. That is, up until one fateful night when the word that war was riding up upon their door step. The Ovet royal family of Erion has ruled for almost as long as the history of Erion has begun. The queen and king had ruled with an iron fist but, as it has just been learned, they were nothing more than cowards. When word of war reached their ears, the king and his queen took half of the troops of Erion and disappeared into the night. Their run did not last long. The king and queen were caught, but not their enemies. It was by the hand of their own soldiers. They revolted against their rulers and, in an act that perhaps many had been waiting for, killed them. Many of the soldiers defected to Erion’s own enemies, leaving the king and queen’s bodies to rot in the sun.

Now, it has always been that the kingdom of Erion was unjust. Perhaps, at the very beginnings of their history, the rulers had been kind people who sought for justice. Whatever has happened to make people so twisted, though, may never be known. For now, the new generation of Erion stands, alone in leadership. All that is left of the royal family is their princess.

And so the question is this: what will become of Erion? Will it fall or shall this new generation be the greatest contradiction that has ever been recorded in the history of all of the kingdom’s combined? This new future rests solely on their shoulders- or maybe old soldiers wish to change the ways of their troops before they die. It is a new day, albeit a dark one with the promise of war and their army weaker than it has ever been before. Maybe Erion can still be saved and changed for the better. But they will have to work hard for it, for Erion has no friends and no one is willing to lend their trust.

Kingdoms of Ageon:

Erion: Erion has had a long history of being violent, cruel, and backstabbing. Legend says that the royal family once possessed great powers over the darkness. However, during the rule of Alphonse the Great a war was lost and this power was sealed away by the mages of Mei’q Valuk. Now, it is merely considered to be myth. With the queen and king killed and the other members of the royal family executed by order of the king after rumors of treason, the last members of the Ovet royal family is the princess and a sick infant prince. Erion is on the east part of the Ageon continent and rests on tall cliffs, giving is a large advantage in defense.

Mei’q Valuk: Quite often, this kingdom has served as Erion’s main enemies. Many wars have been fought between the two. Mei’q Valuk is a kingdom in the west far from Erion, but this has not stopped them from often striking war with them. Mei’q Valuk is renowned for their powerful navy and for finding the most salt water pearls.

Rivvil: Rivvil sits besides Erion on a geological map to the north- or at least used to. The kingdom of Rivvil was once proud and tall, up until a war between it, Mei’q Valuk and Erion several hundreds of years ago. Mei’q Valuk and Erion survived, but Rivvil did not. The land of Rivvil is now underneath the domain of Erion but tends not to be used, mainly due to rumors and superstitions that it’s haunted. Those who are impure in heart are said to disappear or die if they pass through.

Verin: Verin is in the south-east, more so to the south. Verin has normally stayed out of conflict with the other kingdoms. It’s always been the smallest in size but has an army to boost. Usually, Verin has been known for its silk and various other materials. Verin, compared to the rest, is the merchant kingdom. Verin has managed to stay out of conflict at most times due to the fact that the other kingdoms rely on Verin for trading.

Corabis: Corabis is wedged between Mei’q Valuk and Verin. Corabis is mostly about fishing and filled primarily with wet-footed elves. It’s made mostly of marshes, swamps and rivers. Its army is one to boast, but Corabis is mostly left alone since its land is mostly undesirable to the other kingdoms. Corabis does, however, produce the most fresh water pearls. It’s a secret known only amongst Corabis natives. They can also find salt water pearls, and while they can’t find as many as Mei’q Valuk can theirs is always of the top quality.

Rules:

Generally... well, we're all role players here. Certainly I don't have to spell it out? Follow along the typical rules of a role play and the guild rules.

And if you couldn't tell already, this is a medieval-ee role play.

PM me your profiles or just post them up in this thread.

I'm the freaking goddess in this role play. If I say something doesn't work, you obey me and sacrifice your first born child as well. I'm not a tyrant (unless I want to eat your children~) but if I say something, it's this entire universe's law. If I say the people and rivers turn to marshmallows and jello, it happens. (:

Profiles!

Gaian Username: MythicalYoko.

Character Name: Lilith Ishtar Daciana Valdis Gwenevere Ovet.

Race: Typically, she looks human. However, rumors have said that the Ovet royal family is a little more than that.

Age: Eighteen.

Weapon(s): None, really.

Magic/Abilities: Not figured out quite yet. Sorreh. D,:

Appearance: Lilith stands at just around five feet and seven inches or so. Her skin is on the fair side and freckle-less with a mole on her cheek, below her right eye, and on a corner of her lips. Her crimson hair is long and, if she doesn’t take special care of it in the morning, is a tumble of curls that reaches down to the bottom of her hips. Otherwise, it’ll behave. Hopefully. Her eyes are varying shades of brown. The outer rim is a dark oak brown with pools of honey-brown flowing in the middle rim. The innermost rim, right around the pupil, has a hint of light blue.

History: Lilith was born into the royal family after several attempts at her mother and father trying to have children. Her mother continued to try and have children in the hopes of bearing a son, but any child that was born was either dead or came out crippled and died several days after being born. Lilith herself was paid little to no attention to by her parents, as she was a girl and not a son. She was raised on the lap of luxury, even without the notice of her parents, and was selfish and spoiled just as her previous ancestors had been. She paid no heed for others and merely focused on herself. As time passed she remained the same and only deepened in her own narcissism and vanity. And then… something happened. Make no mistake, Lilith is still royalty and acts like it, but for some reason she actually has a heart... however black it may be. She can be stubborn, bratty, and rude. But Lilith is still capable of good deeds, even if she sometimes doesn’t seem like a nice person. Currently, she’s balancing above a pit of fire to try and keep her kingdom out from the clutches of others and prevent Erion from falling. Being a princess isn't always easy.

Other: Lilith has a habit of wandering off and disappearing. How? Well, it’s quite easy. She knows the secret passageways and rooms of the castle like the back of her hand. If she wants to get somewhere there’s a damn good bet that she can get there before anyone else can. Lilith is an expert on old stories and, even though she is a daughter and not a son, has been well educated.

Gaian Username: lord-earthcraft

Character Name: Heather Ambersong

Race: Human

Sex: Female

Age: 25

Weapon(s): Two punching daggers

Magic/Abilities: Nothing out of the ordinary. Just talent and skill.

Appearance: Heather stands at 5'7" and has a lithe and nimble (also, somewhat busty) build. She has chestnut brown hair that extends a bit past her shoulders and deep green eyes set against her lightly tanned skin. She tends to wear patchwork leather shirts and pants, but can also be seen in more normal (and revealing) clothing, and is rarely ever seen in any sort of dress.

History: Heather was born the daughter of a very wealthy Erionese merchant family. She was quite spoiled as a child, having been given everything she had ever wanted, however, she was also quite sheltered. She was rarely allowed to leave the family estate and never without being accompanied by a guardian. When she was 16, she grew tired of all of the restrictions and ran out on her family, heading toward the inner kingdom in search of excitement. She soon found that living on the streets in Erion was a very difficult thing to do. It wasn't long until she adapted and became one of the local cutpurses. Over the years, through trial and error, she became quite good at her newfound profession and it was exhilarating! At first, the idea of becoming a thief was frightening and appalling. After settling into it, she couldn't imagine doing anything else. Life on the streets had also taught her some hard lessons, giving her a more realistic image of the way the world is and the ability to fight when cornered.

Other: Heather is still used to getting her way. She becomes quite upset when she doesn't, so she has a bit of a temper. She also unashamedly flaunts her womanhood if it suits her purpose (she's nicked many a valuable this way).

Gaian Username: Lucard

Character Name: Cedric Alirishyo Van Lionai VII

Race: Human

Age: 22
Weapon(s):A Two-Handed Longsword that he uses in combat, but very rarely.

Magic/Abilities: He seems to have no true magic aptitude, but he has been studying mediocre spells for quite some time. He has very basic abilities to cause damage, heal others, aid others in combat and the like, but to do much else it'll require much more practice.

His mind works faster than most others and he is renowned for his position as one of the youngest strategists in history. He can think easily on his feet and his plans are ever changing, normally leading to victory.

Appearance: Cedric stands at a little under six feet tall. He normally wears a basic robe of the Erion army. His hair is a silvery snow-white and his eyes are a deep, dark green. He's a fairly handsome man, but there are definitely better looking guys out there.

History: Cedric has found himself to be more and more of a brother figure to Princess Gwenevere. Before he had met her she had been a spoiled little child wrapped up in all of her own jewels and riches, and it took months of bonding and teaching about how life was really like simply to open her up to the world she lives in now, a world of clarity. Still he teaches her how to behave in public and has started to act a bit less like a brother to her, and more like a close friend, if not an overprotective friend.

Other: (Odd habits, extra information, ect.)

Gaian Username: KidMental

Character Name: Nicholas "Falconer" Inukage the 2nd.

Race: Human

Age: 32

Weapon(s): A steel longsword strapped to his belt, full plate armor and a shield with the symbol of 2 swords crossing each other (HAH!)

Magic/Abilities: ...cough. (As in, when I think of them, I'll get back to you.)

Appearance: Short, messy brown, stuck up hair that no comb in the country can flatten, a small stubble and miserable brown plain eyes, along with a tall build. Nicholas here doesn't really stand out, being rather boring and plain looking. Nicholas is usually seen in either his full armour (combat ready), chain-mail (not so combat ready) or simple dark clothing (Working farm clothes).

History: At 32 years of age, Nicholas is by no means a young man. His childhood was one shared by many others in the Kingdom, a simple low-classed boy who worked on his father's farm, whose destiny was probably to inherit the farm and everything on it, marry some other low-classed lady and produce low-classed babies. And then the cycle starts again.

Sadly, such a bland and mediocre destiny could not be allowed, the low-class male being conscripted into army when the generals realised how badly they needed troops for their army. So, miserable and alone in the hostile environment of the army, taken away from his lovely old farm he had just inherited and taken away from his nice low-classed wife, he now sets out to defend what's left of his kingdom.

Other: Nicholas has Parkinson's disease in its early stages, meaning at times his hands may tremor or his bones may feel extremely rigid.

Gaian Username:Zulma san

Character Name:Serenice

Race:vampire

Age: 30

Weapon(s):a katana which she carries on her back; her hands which can 'change form'; however as a bodyguard she is able to use almost any kind of weapons decently

Magic/Abilities: Serenice has the speed and the strength of the vampires. Her hands can extend to her wishes and take different shapes like deadly sharp tentacles. She also has the ability to 'disappear in the darker corners'.

Appearance: Senerice is a tall woman (5'11). She had long black hair and light amber eyes. She is well muscled due to her training and job. She always wears dark clothings. She tried to hide her femininity and is often confused for a man.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. for her eyes color User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. for her overall appearance, except that she has more of female shape

History: Serenice comes from the destroyed kingdom of Rivvil. Her parents moved from Rivvil to Erion when the war ended. Senerice was but an infant. The toll to enter the Kingdom of Erion was to give away the child as the Erion soldiers did not want a new generation of Rivvil children to grow. Senerice was sold to the castle as a slave, her fierce temper got her beaten many times. The head of the guard decided to train her when he discovered her strength and speed. When Senerice was only 12, the King saw her fighting with such skill that he took her with him and showing the just born Princess told her "From now on, you will leave only to protect the Princess and do all her wishes." Till then Senerice grew for the sake of the Princess. The two never had any friendship however Senerice understands the Princess's desires and obeys her body and soul. She is very quiet and her face expressionless.

Other: Despite the lack of friendship between the Princess and Senerice, Senerice is somehow jealous of the growing relationship between Cedric and the Princess.
Senerice has an inkling that she is from Rivvil as the armory of the destroyed kingdom is on a medallion which has always had and which is the only personal thing which she cherishes and hides. But she is not sure and has never tried to learn more about what happened.
She hates having to suck blood to survive.

Gaian Username: pyschopyroking

Character Name: Midalthorn Valcovin Setwin

Weapon(s): light crossbow, sword breaker and a chisakatana

Magic/Abilities: transmutation spells, Flight
Profession: mercenary

Appearance: He stands about 5' 2" tall with a set of wings stretching(when spread) 13 feet. His piercing blue eyes stare out from under the bangs of shock white hair. Each step causes the waist length braid to sway like a living snake. His clothes are of a light beige with a sheen of chainmail underneath. His pale, fragile looking skin glows a slight blue under direct sunlight, but ripples with muscle at the slightest movement. the chisakatana hangs in a sheath over his left shoulder balanced by the sword breaker on the right hip and the cross bow on the left hip. A small stack of metal flanges, held together with a pin, are on a clip on his belt. A small roll is wrapped around the sheath and represents most of his worldly possessions.

History: His clan was once part of Rivvil until the war cleaved their country from the map. Since that time they have been hiding in the ruins of their country, surviving off whatever they can. Among his generation resentment towards the way things are has began to bloom. As one of the more rebellious of his clan, he trained hard in the martial and magical arts. By the time he left his homeland none who crossed his path survived. Traveling into Erion and heard of the cowardly actions of the rulers' and subsequent deaths and saw an opportunity to make a name for himself. As he began to hire himself out as a mercenary who'd do anything except attack the truly helpless he saw ways his clans' survival depended on abandoning the ruins of Rivvil and joining with Erion.

Other: (Odd habits, extra information, ect.) His enjoys the occasional prank and often it involves his braid and a little transmutation. Gaian Username:Zulma san

Character Name: Pomme d'Api

History: Pomme was sold as a slave to the castle with Serenice. She does not remember anything about her parents, family, past but she does not care...or does she? When they were bullied and beaten, Serenice was making a point at being the one blamed for and Pomme will never forget that. Even if Serenice has always been cold with Pomme, Pomme considered the Queen's bodyguard as her best friend. She is still working in the castle. But noone knows to do what. But everyone knows and likes her.

Other: She wishes she were taller. She is very very very talkative.

Gaian Username: Mairin Rainilt

Character Name: Dyeshka Aryn

Race: Changeling

Age: 17

Weapon(s): Halberd (staff ax)

Magic/Abilities: Can tell when someone is lying. Has great hearing.

Appearance: A few inches over 5 feet tall. She has pointed ears and the catlike eyes of a changeling. Her eyes are normally yellow, but change colors when she feels strong emotions. Her hair is black with the tips orange. She wears it short so she can wear her tattered hat to cover the black and only allow the orange to show. Generally wears a vest that has an elongated bottom to almost be a dress, but stops just short to draw that attention. Along with her pants, she styles earth tone colors to not catch attention in a crowd or the woods. She also wears knee-high boots. She has scars on her back from her “father” when her “mother” wasn’t looking.

History: Was exchanged with a young Rivvil human couple’s baby. She doesn’t remember all of her previous life, but she knows that the change was because she had done something wrong and was being punished. Distraught by the change, the wife quickly took to caring for Dyeshka because of the loss of her child. The husband didn’t want to even look at the girl. After 7 years, the wife had another child. Taking advantage of this, the husband got rid of the changeling girl because now his wife could spoil their real child instead of Dyeshka. He didn’t know that you were supposed to take care of the changeling or you’d never getting your human child back.

As a changeling, Dyeshka was intelligent beyond her human looking years. At the age of 7, she was able to fend for herself quite well. Thieving was an occupation, but she also worked as a kitchen girl (she couldn’t be a servant because her looks may drive off customers). Recently she came across a decent amount of money and hasn’t been working.

Other: Likes to just stop and listen to the world around her. When she was working, the only fault to here work ethic was when she would just vanish for a while. During that time she would climb up a tree and listen to the birds. She has a habit of knocking on trees, in a subconscious call out to the fairies that had placed her in the human realm.

'Oooh, I am in such a mess.'

Lilith, Gwen to only one- dear god she hated that name- walked crisply down the hall, brown-blue eyes intently set in front of her. She was sending a thousand curses at her incompetents parents while her mind raced to fix the problem that she was in. Oh, she was going to be killed. There was hardly a shred of doubt in her mind. She wasn't exactly known for being nice and since she was the last person in the way for a different family taking over the throne, who wouldn't try to kill her? Even her personal guards were looking at her funny. Either that or she was being paranoid- possibly a mixture of all of that. There was her little brother, but he wasn't even a year old yet, was he? Not only that but he was as sick as a pathetic mule, he was bound to die. If he didn't give up his ghost soon he would "mysteriously" die in the nursery. Oh, she was going to die!

Lilith walked through the large golden doors that had been pushed open for her. She strode in and stopped to look around, waiting for the people who were screaming at each other to take note that she was there. When they didn't she let out an irritated sigh and resisted the reflex to roll her eyes before walking over to the spot that her father usually took. Despite this bold action everyone in the room were arguing too loudly and feverishly to even take note that she was still well in existence and breathing right over them.

"Excuse me." Lilith called out, setting her hands down on the cold marble rail in front of her. No response. She tapped a nail before shaking her head. "Hello? Are you all- oh, for heaven's-" her shoulder dropped and she glared at the people still arguing like a pack of wolves. "WOULD THE LOT OF YOU STOP!"

Despite having such a thin figure, Lilith had a surprisingly loud voice. Her words pierced strait through the chaos and immediately everyone's heads snapped up to look at her. "Well, look at that! If it isn't Princess Lilith."

"Life seems to be treating you well, Sir Brennan."

"What in the blazes are you doing in here?" Another man spat out, rising from his seat and pointing his fat sausage of a finger at her. "You! You and your entire family is blatantly evil and cursed!"

"And you, what exactly are you doing?" Lilith looked strait at him, her icy demeanor caving down on him like a halberd. After glaring him down she looked out at everyone else, silent for just a moment before speaking again. "What are the rest of you doing?"

"Planning our surrender, of cou-"

"We are NOT going to surre-"

"Kill th-"

"QUIET!" Lilith yelled out again, just enough to catch their attention but not to the point where she was screaming like a baby. "We will not surrender and no one in this room or kingdom is going to be pointing their blade at me!"

"Give us a good reason as to why we should allow you to live."

"Because I am your damned princess, that is why." She retorted sharply, drawing a hand away from the marble it was resting on. "The Ovet family may not have the best record, nor does the kingdom of Erion. But this kingdom has been standing for ages and this royal blood before you has always been the one leading it! Who are you to contradict tradition? Why should we bow down before Mei'q Valuk merely because their army is coming towards us? In history we have fought against them many times and we shall do so again. What do you think they are going to do if we surrender? Come in through our gates and give us daisies? They are going to kill us! They will not just kill me, but they shall kill all of you for being apart of this court and all of your families just for good measure. I understand that our army is weak-"

"Might I remind you, Princess, that it was your parents who took nearly half of our soldiers and left us all to die and squabble amongst ourselves."

"I do believe that we are all aware of the betrayal, Sir Holden. Make no mistake- merely because I am their daughter does not mean that I also share their ideals. Our past king and queen's actions are absolutely shameful and quiet possibly the lowest blow that has ever been done by my ancestors. I know and am willing to accept that my parents are traitors and thieves. And, if I am not the one to assume the throne, who else shall lead you?"

"You're a bloody girl!"

"So you would prefer to set a crown atop the head of a sickly infant who cannot walk?" Lilith lifted an eyebrow and blinked idly at the previous speaker before looking back out at the rest of them. "Listen to me! We are all apart of Erion, tied down by its history and the fact that most, if not all of us, were born here. It is the land of our fathers. Albeit we have not had a very well-made streak, but I am most certainly not going to let Mei'q Valuk or any of the other kingdoms come in and trample all over us. If you value your own lives and those of your families, the idea of surrender should not even as much cross your mind unless it is absolutely certain that we are all bound to die. If we surrender, it shall be for our people's sake, not so that we can quiver cowardly behind these castle walls and pray for a painless death. Doing so now would be running away, just as much parents did, and would be extremely shameful. There is no one else who should lead you now save for me! I am the rightful heir to Erion's throne, female or not, until my younger brother becomes old enough and if he does not die before that time comes. I may not be the person you want to be representing and leading you, but the Ovet family has always led Erion. I am willing to stand and fight for Erion and will do so as long the rest of you are willing to follow alongside with me! I realize that I will have to be at the head of all of this, but there is no way that I could possibly do it without support. I will be the head but you and the rest of our kingdom must be my body- if we work together then the possibility of victory will be brighter then than it is now in this black pit we've been thrown into."

Silence washed over the room and Lilith was left to stand, her heart pounding, with the eyes of everyone upon her. She wasn't sure what else she could possibly say to convince them- everything that she had just said had been fired out half-assed and her mind was coming up dry for anything else to say. She was terrified, even if she wouldn't admit it, and neither would she let it show. If she was to be their leader then she would have to be strong and show no fear. If she did, she was afraid that they themselves may kill her.

"She is..." she was left to hang on the man's words, watching as he looked around at the rest of the room as if to wait and see if anyone would complete the sentence he'd had the audacity to start.

"There was Queen Monat," a woman added slowly, making a small gesture with her hand towards Lilith before continuing. "Queen Monat may not have been our greatest ruler, but she still had a few successes in her run."

"True," someone else nodded and rubbed the small bridge between their eyes. "Princess Lilith is, quite frankly, the most reasonable candidate for the throne. Even if only temporarily... unless we surrender, we don't have much of an option."

"Then it is decided." Lilith discretely sucked in air into her lungs before daring to speak again. "I will be your ruler. Sir Sinclair, you are one of our generals, correct? I need you to gather what it is left of our army. The rest of you return to your respective posts. We must try and unite ourselves and prepare for the oncoming battle. The Mei'q Valuk army is coming, but they are on the opposite side of this continent. We have time and must use it wisely. Now go!" With that out Lilith stepped down, walking strait out of the room while her heart continued to pound loudly in her head. She went back into her room and shut the door, waving her guards away. With the door locked she walked over to her bed, then to her vanity, and then over to the window. "Oh... gods I did it! I can't believe that I just did that!" She wasn't dead. She wasn't dead. Lilith pressed a very cold hand to her forehead and sat down on the edge of her bed, greedily sucking in air to support the heart that was pounding as quickly as a frightened rabbit's.

{{That was looong.... xD;;}}

Cedric Alirishyo Van Lionai VII. Normally, he was known as Ser Alirishyo, or Ser Lionai, but to very good friends, namely, Lilith and perhaps one or two of the knights, he was known as Cedric. Most of the kingdom also knew him as 'The Seventh Strategist', named for the numeric in his name, and from the fact that, out of a long line of historically reknowned strategists, he was perhaps a prodigy in the kingdom's eyes. He wore a basic overthrown robe, noting Erion's colors, as well as a necklace chain made of white gold. This particular necklace holds great value to him, but only perhaps Lilith and a few of the higher-ranked knights knew about that. His snow white hair hung limply over his dark green eyes, swaying side to side as he walked the halls after slinking out of the back of the 'meeting', if you could call it that. He slowly walked the halls of the castle, his robe dragging alone behind him, barely scraping the floor.

On his hip rested the hilt to his longsword, and finely crafted sword for a fine man and strategist. He glanced left and right, and nodded once to Sir Alusi, who currently had a very...strange look on his face. He shrugged it away and continued on his walk towards young Lilith's room. He bowed once to one of the guards who was standing near the door, supposedly guarding it, although he knew the guard could care less, he only bowed out of politeness and respect. "...Is it acceptable if I was to speak with Princess Lilith?" He spoke using her more liked name, although he preferred to call her Gwen. The man responded in a fairly careless attitude and a half-hearted tone.

"...I suppose you can, not like she'll let you in, you know how the Princess is..." Cedric shook his head and sighed, stepping towards the door. "...Which is why I'm going to see her." A light rap-rap-rap could be heard from the opposite side of the door, and then Cedric's soft voice seeping through the door. "...Princess Lilith? Mind if I come in?" He lowered his arm to his side and watched the door for a little bit, waiting for her to answer, and, if he was correct in his assumptions, open the door to allow him inside.

Lilith was now pacing near her window, tugging on her velvet glove and every so often taking a peek out of the window. It was unbelievable- she had actually convinced them to let her be their ruler. It was, quite frankly... well... unbelievable! She tapped a heel on the floor and then finally strode over to the window, pulling open one of the windows and leaning out of the sill. The city before her stretched out, its tall guarding walls standing protectively at its border. Beyond it was mostly green and few splashes of blue, all of according to where the rivers decided to place themselves. She sucked it in for a second before stepping back, shutting the window and then walking to one of the farther corners of her bedroom. Then, a sound. Frowning, the princess stood up and walked over to where she could hear it. The soft sounds of chattering, and then....

"What in the blazes are you doing in my room?" Daciana demanded, grabbing the corners of her dress and walking quickly over to where some of the maids were.

"Princess!" The two woman gasped in unison and quickly bowed, glanced at each other, and then looked over at what they were holding. "We- s-someone told us that you were going to be removed an-and to take-"

"Well I am most certainly not leaving!" She retorted, glaring at their necks in irritation before stepping to the side. "Hurry! Get out!" At their obvious hesitation Lilith clicked her heels loudly on the floor. "Get out! This is my room and most certainly not yours." With that said that darted past her and she followed them, just to be sure that they didn't try to deviate somewhere else aside from the door. "Out with you! I do not want you back in here without my permission or order, do you understand? Do not need little snippets...." Then, as the door opened, she caught sight of a familiar face right outside of her door. She blinked at it before stepping into the door way and grabbed Cedric's arm to pull him inside. "Come in!" Once he was in she shut the door and then stared at it as if resisting the temptation to kick it. Then she looked over at Cedric, who just looked like his normal self.

"Cedric, did you hear?" She was suddenly excited and the reason for it... well, she really wasn't quite sure. She walked past him, turned around, and then shook her head. "For heaven's sake you look like- do you always have to wear that exact same robe every blasted day?" It looked the same, unless he had multiple ones. Honestly, didn't he have anything else to wear? "Oh, never mind." She was silent, for once in her lifetime, staring at the floor with an odd look in her eyes. Her eyes were burning and for some awful reason she felt like crying. She whirled around, refusing to let anyone see her do something as stupid as crying. But she needed to tell him- of all people, he had to know. "Cedric," she stated softly, reaching up and pulling at a curl that was floating beside her face. "I'm going to be queen." Once the burning sensation in her eyes was gone she moved to face him. "And I am not just saying that. I was just in the room with the high counsel and I- I'm going to be queen. Queen Lilith. Oh, that sounds awful- how does Queen Daciana or Valdis sound to you?" She sucked in air strait through her teeth and dropped to her knees, a strange pressure building up in her skull. She bowed her head and covered her face with her hands, shoulders shivering. "Gods, I think I'm going to be ill."

Serenice was standing in a corner, one hand on the handle of her katana. As Lilith started talking, the bodyguard was looking around catching every single move from the assembly. She had been at the side of the Princess since her birth and today the Princess needed her more than ever.

Serenice did not really listen to her speech, she was concentrated on the movements of the others. She did not really care about what the Princess said, what mattered was that no one attempted to kill her. Anyone trying such a foolish thing would have tasted her blade and she might have tasted their blood. When the Princess walked back to her room, Serenice followed as a silent shadow.

She let the Princess deal with the women in her room and just stood quietly in a dark corner. When Cedric came to the door, Serenice stood more rigid than ever. She hated how the Princess was acting around him. What she was not admitting was that she was truly jealous of their relationship. Since always she had been at the side of the Princess, but that was her duty and she could not say that the Princess and herself were 'friends'.

When the Princess put her hands on her face, apparently on the edge of vomiting, Serenice hesitated between throwing a towel to her face or letting Cedric deal with the situation. She chose the first option and walked to the vanity where towels were pilled. She took the upper one and handed it to the Princess with a sharp movement "Here." she said.

Lilith had almost jumped out of her skin when she'd heard movement behind her- footsteps that were too light to be Cedric's. By now one would expect that she would be used to the presence of her ghostly guard, but she wasn't exactly in a relaxed state at the moment. She whirled around, the curls hanging from her bun bouncing, eyes wide and icy electricity snarling through her veins and over her skin with her hands clutching her chest.

'Serenice...' her mind hissed as her rigid shoulders and pounding heart slowly began to lower. Her lips tightened into a thin line and her skull roared against the other presence in the room to leave or to simply vanish from the very existence of this room. Fade into the shadows like the vampire always did. Serenice had always been there, always; ever since Lilith could first remember. Looming over her and staring, always in the background. Always there. She hardly said or did anything except for follow her and obey Lilith's commands- she was like a plastic doll. Doing whatever it was that she wanted. She was fake, just another accessory or a pretty puppet to be stuck up on a shelf for everyone to see. She was always there, sucking away like the leech she was. Lilith had never loved her, nor did she now- the shadow that had merely served to stand behind her as a child was something that Lilith now felt was binding. She hated Serenice and there was very little that would be able to change her mind about it. If the leech had noticed that the princess didn't seem to like her very much, she seemed to be ignoring it. That's how her father's brain washed marionettes were, of course; so why should it come as much of a surprise?

"Here."

Lilith looked to the towel to her supposed guardian, eyes lowering and fingers tightening on her dress. Not only did Lilith hate her, but she was also scared- not that she would ever be willing to admit something as pathetic as that.

"What's wrong with you?" She suddenly demanded, a hand slipping down to the floor while the top of her body pulled back. "Why do you always have to be behind me like that? If an arrow does not manage to kill me you will by giving me a godforsaken heart attack! You little l-"

'Be nice.'

A voice wormed it's way into her skull and Cedric's repeated lessons of how to be kind were kicked in as well. She bit down on her tongue before the word "leech" managed to slip out. "Oh, fine- give me that." Lilith reached up and took the towel, hand and arm prickling at coming within such close proximity of someone that terrified her. She snagged the towel and pressed it against her torso, feeling the warmth that the sun had filtered into it slip through the fabric of her dress. "Just... go, go get yourself something to eat." Lilith pointed over to where a small cabinet where some food was kept.

Serenice looked at the Princess peacefully. After so many years spent following the Princess, the vampire had gotten somehow used to her remarks. She knew how much Lilith hated having someone following her around. The Princess was almost an adult and she was striving for independence. Especially after the betrayal and death of her parents, Lilith had to impose herself as a full human being, not as the daughter of...

The vampire remembered the youth of the Princess, for a while she had hoped that they could become closer, almost friends. When she was a young adolescent herself, the Princess was but a child. They were playing hide and seek in the garden, although Serenice never really lost track of the Princess during their game or else she knew the punishment which the King himself would have given her. The behavior of the Princess's relatives towards Serenice, their arrogance, and the unconscious pride of the Princess to be accepted by the others had prevented any friendship from blossoming. Simultaneously, the punishment which Serenice got the only time she lost the Princess, made her refuse any further opportunity to become closer to the Princess. She hated the King for what he did that time. She hated the Princess for what happened that time.

She listened without blinking, her amber eyes gazing at the Princess. She nodded at the Princess's suggestion, she was quite hungry. With a last look at the Princess and no word, she turned to the cabinet and opened the door. Turning her back to the room, she allowed herself to smile for a second. Here she was, once again, pretending like this food would quench her hunger and thirst. She was seen as a monster by the court because of the way her hands could deform themselves. However no one had seen her when pushed by blood thirst, her canines were becoming as long and sharp as razors and her eyes had nothing human in them anymore. In those moments, the nickname of 'leech' which the Princess affectioned so much was taking another signification for Serenice.

The vampire looked around the cabinet and decided herself for some red grapes. She closed the door and turned back to watch the room, slowly moving towards a dark corner. She hated light. She swallowed the grapes one by one, taking her time as she stared at Lilith and Cedric.

A light laughter escaped young Cedric's lips as he looked down to the Princess... No, the new queen. A few thoughts ran through his head, much that went to the idea of Gwen actually making a decent queen. Perhaps if she continued to give good will to his lessons, then she would make a great ruler for her citizens to look up to and pledge their eternal loyalty. But of course, that would have been the work of fairy tales if it was to work perfectly and rapidly. He sat down on the edge of her bed and sighed contently, looking to Lilith. "...At least you've remembered my lessons. And as for a name... Well... How about Queen Gwenevere?" He enjoyed calling her by the name Gwen, or Gwenevere, and even if she, herself, hated the name, he would continue to call her that until the ends of time.

"Come...Sit, there's a lot you need to go over if you're going to be Queen, Gwen. ...You'll need to deal with the problems of the peasants... You'll need to show the knights that you're fit to make decisions both on and, preferably, off the battlefield, as well as you'll need to choose an advisor to speak with on occasion about problems, preferably more than one actually." His eyes drifted away from Gwen for a moment, and over to Serenice. Despite the knowledge that she was a vampire, and the slight stop of the heart that he always seemed to contract whenever she appeared, he did enjoy that Gwen always had someone looking over her. He nodded once to Serenice and threw her a light, soft smile, before turning back to Gwen and awaiting her response.
