Oki, im sure alot of you have heard of this
you get ship wrecked on a desert island, on the island you have 7 palm trees all with coconuts, the remains of a rowing boat(unfit for the water), a skeleton , a locked chest which is very heavy and a pile of about 5 rocks.
On inspecting the island you find the key to the chest but what is inside it?
Pick the 3 items you'd most like to find in the chest and explain why
Rules: Nothing bigger than the chest(about meter long, half meter wide and high and infinitely deep)
No futuristic weapons, or dispensers, or teleports, or anything
(more to add after your insanity's)
My choice of items(example)
Id have a hammock(to sleep and get a sun tan on)
A fishing net(to catch fish with)
And a ladder(to get coconuts, to fish with, to build hammock with, replacement spine in case i lose mine, can be used as fire wood, to build a bridge to land, to surf , to board enemy vessels with, cook things on, do some diving off)
Choice 2(stupid insane one so i can get at least 1 good response out of you peeps
Soler powered generator so i can get electricity
Pc with built in wireless with an infinite range
A bottle of coke to drink while i flame peoples threads.

3 Important things:
LOTS of wood
Hammer
Nails
why I picked all three: build myself a huge boat and I'm outta here! xd
as for the food, I'll just try to climb the tree and get the coconuts
Choice 2:
solar powered radio, so i know whats going on
one of those things where you shoot off a fire-like signal thing (i forget what its called; in case of an emergency)
solar powered TV (hey, I need entertainment while I build my boat)

lol, yeah sparkler wouldn't really do it. But it would look lots prettier. You did throw me though I sat there for a few seconds thinking "I know the answer to this", but it just wouldn't appear

*laughs* now you know how i felt right? i was sitting there for the longest time trying to figure it out but i just couldn't. you don't know such a relief it was when you mentioned flares. now it won't bug me. i looked sparklers up on google, hoping it was the right thing,but turns out i was totally wrong. xd
hey, on a second thought, maybe i should bring a sparkler too, just for the prettiness of it lol

I'm sure you'd get rescued soooo much quicker. I personally have never used a flare (never been in trouble water wise), but I have seen other people use them, and they are tres dull. I for one would feel far more inspired to hurry towards the pretty colors

pretty and sparkly colors too. flares are just one flash, and then they are gone. so boring
i've never used a flare either. but i've seen them on tv
PS: I now have a funny mental image of someone randomly flying their helicopter near the island and then is suddenly drawn to the sparkler while thinking, "oooo... pretty colors..." haha hardly sounds serious xd (also sounds like me; i tend to get easily distracted when it comes to pretty colors and especially anything sparkly and shiny; lol )

Oh my god so scared right now. There is more than one sparkler flake in the world. Although to be fair, I hadn't heard the sparkler argument before, just the "flares should be, like, really loud, bright fireworks instead"
I would want to have the following
1) A collapsible dinghy/boat
2) GPS
3) a really powerful engine (yet compact enough to fit into the chest)

Well at least I'm a rule breaker rebel, instead of an airy fairy flake. I'd want those three things so I could get the hell out of their. But if escape was not an option then I'd have to have
1) all my clothes (the chest is infinite deep I think I remember reading)
2) a phone would be great, but this is an island so maybe I'd be pushing my luck; a portably DVDplayer. But a lap top would be better. And obviously a battery that doesn't run out
3) well that's embarrassing, but it comes with me
