Leini missed her family dearly. She looked up to the cloudy sky. Would it rain soon? She shook her head and wandered out of the high grass were Inyoni was watching her son chase after a butterfly. She smiled fondly as she saw her son's blue paw reach out of the grass. She needed to travel though. She wasn't born to stay in one play. It was in her blood like it was with all her sibling and her parents. She couldn't be tied to an area. The female wild dog shook her head and trotted out of the grass where her small family 'lived'. She'd return later.

Phife:
Whilst Slavic, the water buck, was asleep, his Master left to roam a bit. Perhaps to cause the poor thing to worry about where his master has gone. Machu, however, was curious if the creature would still follow him and come looking for him. Either way, he could care less, he was more interested on finding a target to woo and keep his. Hunting and Mating was his only tasks, everything else was for Slavic's duties. On could say he is lazy, in fact, he quite is. His movements were sluggish unless he had a reason. And to him, 'roaming' wasn't a reason to walk dignifly or not being lazy. This was what Machu was.
The large, orange canine passed a few good looking burrows, but he did not want a burrow. He wanted a place where he can keep his mate a secret from everyone and love her for all she was worth for eternity. If pups came about, they came about. He just wanted a mate most of all. If pups did happen, he will have Slavic take care of them. Too much stuff to do if he was going to be lazy.
With the sun raised so high, it was likely the water buck was awake and panicking about his master... best get further away. Can't quite charm a female if there is a water buck around, right?

Leini stopped and sat up on her rump, almost as a meerkat would. She peered around for any danger. When alone, one must be cautious. She had a son to look after now. She shook her head slightly again and fell back to all four paws. Would she take her son and leave Inyoni? He wasn't really... there anymore? She couldn't explain it. She shook the thoughts from her head and continued on with a light trot. She didn't really know where she was going, but she knew she could find her way back... Unless it decided to rain. Her ears flicked and she looked back, studying the area she was in. Once satisfied, she trotted on.

Machu's golden eyes loomed around the corner of a decent looking den. It was a bit far up upon a rock face and there was a large tree nearby for shade and the water hole... well, one must work for water one would guess. It was a decent, but not secret enough for him and his future mate. He wanted it to be a place where they can hide and love one another and not be disturbed. Other than Slavic, he could be a sentry or something. Not that it'll stop a predator from eating the poor thing, but oh well.
Entering, he found it relatively small but the ground was soft. It seems just the entrace was rocky. The inside must be more dirt from the hill or something. That was good, so he could get the water buck to dig it out with his antlers. Why would he have to risk his life in case of a cave in? Machu smirked and headed back out. That was one task down, many more to go.
As he was heading down the rocky hill side, he padded toward the tree. It was time to stake out this territory as his own.

The polytoned female stopped and looked around again, setting herself on her hind legs. Red eyes searched and her ears listened. Suddenlty, her eyes caught something. Another wild dog? In any case, the orange body was not too far off. Did she really want to meet this dog though? She sat back down and watched the orange male from where she was. She didn't want to intrude to the males area. What if he had a pregnant mate? He could get dangerous.

Machu layed down beside the tree and looked back at his den. Good, he could still see partially into it, so far, the blind spot was between the tree and the hill side if he were inside the den and what more, it might block the view of the den if someone was too far off. The male rose to his feet and shook out his fur. About time to go hunting or find Slavic. Best save the poor thing before he comes graveling for losing his master or something. The prey should lighten up a little.
As the dog was getting out from under the tree, his eyes caught something in teh corner of his eye. It was another wild dog. Or perhaps it was a hyena. Not interested with having contest for this den, best scare this one off. If this was its den, well, he snoozed he lost.
Machu dashed toward it in a full sprint.

Leini backed away a little. If she knew today was going to be a bad day, she wouldn't have gotten up this morning. She rose to her feet, not taking her eyes off the dog that was rushing towards her. Maybe he'd stop... She seriously doubted that at the point he was at. If he got to close, she was prepared to dash.
Leini's muscles were tense, frozen...

Machu growled raised higher and higher, his lips pulled back to show his fangs, his power, his serious intent. His hackles raised and his ears perked. It wasn't until he got close enough to catch her scent did his pace slow down incrediably to a near halt. It was a female! He still growled as he moved closer because she might be here to take the den... the only way she was going to get it is if she became his mate. "What are you doing here, female? This is my territory now...."
He warned as he padded closer to her.

"Um... I apologize... I didn't know. I was just taking a new route around today..." She said truthfully. She'd never gone this direction when traveling away from her small family. She usually traveled towards where her parents den was located, but never reached it, and today she decided she ould follow this wind like her father would.
Leini's ears were flat on her head as she took another step back warily. "I apologize for intruding..."

Machu scoffed and looked at her again. She looked good, nice body, dazzling eyes, young but an adult. It deserved a quick c**k of the brow. She might be a target for him, but it will have to wait until after this day...
"At least you know now, don't you. This is my territory now," he replied. If she was easily scared, she was a good female to possibly dominate... but that is to be seen as of now. He looked at her with a bit of curiosity. She apologized again... she must be one of those good girls. "So where were you going in all this rush?" he questioned.
Slowly ideas formed in his head on what to do...

Leini shook her head lightly, ears still pressed to her head. "Just wandering. I-I..." She didn't complete after I. She took another step backwards, keeping her red eyes on the brightly colored male. She could feel her heart thumping in her chest. She wasn't brave. She just wasn't...

Machu sighed and turned his head away. She was quite the timid and submissive girl. As much as he liked those sort, he felt rather bad frightening this one. He looked back at her and scoffed.
"I get it, you are sorry, stop apologizing. And I know you are wandering, you've said that too," the male looked at the den and then the female. Taking a wiff of the air, he smirked.
"Come on, follow me, if you are just gonna wander, why not come and spend a little time at my den? You got nowhere else to go, right? You're already in my territory."

Machu led her up the rocky path, making sure he stopped from time to time to make sure she was doing alright. The last thing he needed was a wounded female moaning and groaning about aches and pains. Perhaps, if he played his cards right, he might just get lucky with this one and worry naught about those stupid consequences. She wasn't in heat from what he had noticed.
"Take it easy. There is no rush." even his movements were slow.

Leini gave a small smile, following the brightly colored male at a leisure pace. No need to rush, right? She could take this slow, though the male's words were lost on her, as were is intentions. Completlety oblivious. "I'll be fine," She gave a small nod.
