Do you think he could break the touchdown title he just set this year?

23 last year

Why are you always so negative?

I think it can be done. Anything could happen, Moss could catch 24 touchdowns, or no touchdowns. Do I think he will though, no.

There is No Try...

I think he'll come close, but not break.

I don't think that Randy Moss will surpass his season TD record, that he set last year, for various reasons.

1. The Patriots will loose Donte Stallworth, so that leaves Moss vulnerable to double-coverage.

2. The Patriots will try to use Welker more in the offense, after his late-season success.

3. The Patriots will establish the run more, with wasn't such a strong point last season.

4. Teams will start following the defensive blueprint of the Giants and Chargers, to get at Brady with a pass rush, and erase time for bombs down the field.

5. 23 is a lot of frickin' touchdowns. He just won't do it.

Randy Moss and Tom Brady are one of the best combos in NFL history, but I see them connecting a bit over 15 TDs this upcoming season season.

No. It's very difficult to repeat success in consecutive seasons.

Some examples.

Peyton Manning throws for 49 TDs. Next season, he throws 29.
Jerry Rice gets over 1800 receiving yards in 1995. The next season, he gets a little over 1200.
Barry Sanders rushes for 2000 yards. Next season, he gets 1500.
LaDainian Tomlinson rushes for 28 TDs. Then he goes for 15.
Shaun Alexander gets 27 TDs. Then he gets injured and only gets 7.
Michael Strahan gets 22.5 sacks. Next season, 11.

Yup. Very difficult to repeat what you did last year, especially when it's such a huge spike and out of the norm. You see it everywhere in all sports.

I guess its pretty hard to match a perfect regular season. I doubt he will break it but if you look at the games sometimes he wouldn't even throw to moss for long stretches of time. A receiver removed with welker there s**t I mean HE IS RANDY MOSS

I guarantee that Maroney will get more carries this upcoming season for the Patriots.

They won't break the record this year, and not because they won't be as good as a tandem as they were last year. It's because teams will be very very aware of their capabilities, and play them both a lot better.

I figure the Patriots will also create a lot more outlets to go to as well, cutting down Moss's opportunities signficantly. I'm thinking a better running game, and maybe more screens and Welker passes.

haha getting older, and buying perscription pain killers off the street XP

Moss an Brady are great, they will make many hilights this year but nothing like last year, last year was special and will most likely never be repeated.

I'm hopeing tht Jeff Garcia and Joey Galloway connect 24 times for TD's lol, maybee Garcia can throw 51 Td's I mean he is looking for a new contract lol (i'm just messing around her a bit dont start to flame me)

lol. I won't start to flame you, but I think that Galloway needs more prescription painkillers than the Patriots OL. He's just about over the hill sweatdrop xD
