Knock knock knock knock
Sesshomaru's foot rapped against the front door to the Aishino household as his hand rested on his hip. Why was he at the household rather than being at the center as he usually did? Because he had resolved that now that his young prodigy had reached toddler hood, it was time to put her up against the first obstacle in her life.
And that was surviving in the good ol outdoors. He wasn't about to let her get spoiled on the convinces of human life style. Oh no he was not. He stood there waiting impatiently for someone to come answer and hand over the young pink haired child. As if every second she was allowed to stay in that house was a second that could bring Lucy onto a life long addiction to playstation and fruit roll ups. Urgh. He hated fruit roll ups.

Rein felt agitated when she heard a door knock. Here she was comfortable with a bag of potatoes chips in one arm and a soda in the other, while Lucy sat quietly next to her, watching television. She didn't want to move from her position since she was really comfortable and she certainly didn't want to ask Lucy to answer the door. Especially not after the last time when the toddler attacked the mailman for "getting too close".
"Angel! Can you get the door?" Rein called out into the kitchen. There was a slight pause until finally, the house keeper answered back. "Sorry! I can't leave the stove!"
With a groan, Rein picked herself off the sofa while placing the chips and soda onto the coffee table. "Stay here, Lucy!" Rein instructed as she link the salty left overs off of her fingers and then wiped it off with a crumpled napkin. With a sigh, Rein quickly rushed over towards the door and opened it, hoping whoever was outside wasn't too impatient with her opening the door.
"H-hello?"

Sesshomaru stood there looking down at the woman as she answered the door. If he where more sarcastic or friendly of a person he would of smiled, but instead he just kept that same chizzeled marble expression of 'who knows if I feel anything.'
"I'm here for Lucy. I am taking her camping." He said so matter of factly. No question in the matter on if the girls mother was okay with this. No, just a fact. He was there. Lucy was in there. And he was taking her out of there. "We will be gone roughly seven days and I will bring her back in one piece." he said, deciding it would be best to take the 'hopefully' he was originally planning on using off the end of the sentence. And it was there, that Sesshomaru continued to stare, his gold eyes idly darting into the house to see if he spotted the pink haired girl.

For a long while, Rein just stood by the door, gaping at the man that stood before her. What the hell...? "H-hey..wait a minute!" The woman was about to protest until she heard an excited squeal coming from the living room. She inwardly sighed knowing that Lucy had spotted Sesshomaru.
"Great...."
"Master Sesshomaru! Master Sesshomaru!" Lucy called out and then ran over towards the doorway. "HELLO! HELLO!" The toddler happily greeted. Her guardian quickly moved out of the way so the child could run up and hug him.
Rein sighed and shook her head a little knowing that she possibly couldn't convince Lucy to stay home. "Should I pack her stuff...?"

Sesshomaru shook his head as he picked up the toddler with his arm and held her against his chest. "We're going camping, Lucy. I need you to put on clothes that will last you for seven days, and a deers stomach to keep water in." He said, before he set her down and gently pattered her back. "You go fetch those things, and I will be here waiting for you." he said, before he stood up straight again and looked at Rein.
"I assume you keep a tanned deers stomach for these instances, correct? Or will she be needing me to provide her with one?" deep down the high and mighty pompus b*****d that Sesshomaru was, was really quite the minimalist.

With a nod, Lucy quickly rushed up the stairs to change her clothing leaving Rein alone with Sesshomaru, much to the woman's despair. "E-er well..." Rein began when the questions were aimed at her. Her eyes darted away to a different direction. "N-no. You'll have to provide one for her..." Deer stomach? Are they still living in the present time or has time been traveling backwards without Rein realizing?
Rein breathed a sigh of relief when Lucy came downstairs wearing a pair of comfortable pants, a light-colored t-shirt, and a white wool cap to cover her horns. The woman watched in amusement as the toddler continued to rush to get ready that Lucy had put her shoes on the wrong foot. With a sigh, Rein rushed over to help fix the little mistake and then urged the child over towards the teen waiting by the door.
The woman frowned as she watched Lucy happily cling onto Sesshomaru. "I guess you'll be leaving now...?" She folded her arms across her chest. "Please being her back safely..."

Sesshomaru reached down and set his hand on the toddler's head as she clung to his leg. "You do not have to fear for her. Anything that crosses her path shall be met with a swift and painful death. By the hands of me or otherwise." Sesshomaru 'comforted' to the older woman. He then turned around and began to walk down the path to the sidewalk, looking behind him. "Come Lucy." He called out. Tenshi was waiting for them a block down in her station wagon. She would drive them to where they would be camping, so Sesshomaru wouldn't have to pollute his lungs with that city air any longer than necessary.

Rein nodded slightly and then smiled at Lucy. "Take care..." She mutters and waved a little. The thought of death and killing had made the woman slightly uneasy. But since she was the one who first put her trust into Sesshomaru, perhaps it was really her fault? Whatever the case was this wasn't the first time Rein "allowed" Sesshomaru to take Lucy on an outing and he would always bring her back safe. This possibly couldn't be any different...right?
The toddler smiled back at her guardian. "Bye bye Rein!" Lucy says and then quickly follows after Sesshomaru, not wanting to hold him up anymore.
It was until until the two had completely disappeared from her vision that Rein finally sighed and closed the door. It hadn't even been five minutes already and Rein was starting to have horrible images of Lucy getting lost somewhere in the woods...or even worse.
When will those 7 unforgiving days end?!

It took roughly 45 minutes for the group to get back to the Kuronaho estate in the long gas-ifficent car. The entire trip not one word was uttered by Tenshi, but Sesshomaru talked to Lucy from time to time. Mostly explaining to her that he would be teaching her how to survive on her own out in the woods without the aid of man's comfort.
Once Tenshi pulled up the long gravel drive way to the Kuronaho household, she clicked off the ignition and went back into the house, again without a word. She had other things she had to do than wish her now well capable 'son' a fond farewell. After all, it was now the norm for him to disapear for weeks on end without warning. And the same could be said about her as well!
Sesshomaru helped the toddler out of the car and thought for a few moments. Well, he supposed he could teach her how to tan her own water container while they where out, but it would be best to get a spare to start her off with. "Come Lucy, we shall go inside to get a few things before we head out." He said, he imagined this would be Lucy's first time in the house he had been calling home for his entire exsistance on Gaia. "Please ignore any idiots who try to speak to you while we are in there." he said, reffering to everyone in the house that wasn't Tenshi.

Lucy nodded her head slightly as she kept close to him. She felt rather uneasy at the moment, but not because she was far away from home. The toddler felt nervous being in another person's house. Her eyes darted around the area, on the look out for any "idiots" that Sesshomaru had spoken of while at the same time, the toddler was thinking over the explanation.
Surviving on her own? Could Lucy really be capable of doing that especially since she was living a life where everything was always handed over to her when she wanted it?
While musing over these things, the toddler realized that she had slowed down and was beginning to lag behind. "Eep!" Lucy squeaked and quickly chased after Sesshomaru, not wanting to get lost in an unfamiliar place where there are people roaming around that her master had deemed not important enough to talk to. Not that she would anyway; Lucy didn't like communicating with people that do not interest her.

Thankfully over the years the Kuronaho household was growing more and more empty. Rooms where left unused as more children grew up and went on their own way. Ancelin's room? Empty. Onii's room? Now only Arukoru's. Gabriel's room? Now a forbidden room to anyone in the household. The nursery? Being converted into Damien and Dominic's hell room.
Sesshomaru lead the toddler threw a spacy living room that had a worn down couch and some old cheap saw dust furnature. There was a large dome TV set in a wooden entertainment center, with some toys scattered here and there on the navy blue floor. In the right corner of the room a doorway leading to a dining room and kitchen could be seen, and then a walk way that cut off leading to a bathroom and three bedrooms. Sesshomaru's room was up stairs.
The older man lead her up the spiral case and then down what seemed to be a small maze. Right off the stares where three bedroom doors. Around that corner was a large room, Tenshi's, and then around another corner where three more doors. Sesshomaru went to the one most tucked away and opened the door, before he flicked on the light for young Lucy to enter.
His bedroom didn't have much. In the back center was a large canopy style bed with red velvet and silk sheets. A couple tables with only a lamp or two set upon them, here and there a skull or a random bone from animals, demons, and humans he had killed. A chair here, a bean bag there. But for the most part the room was barren aside for that large elaborate bed.
Sesshomaru left the small girl to look around while he walked over to a very large red-oak wardrobe that took up nearly an entire wall. He pulled one of the doors open to reveal folded over and pressed yukata's and kimonos. He dug around idly, as if he was trying to find something. "Where did I put it.." he muttered, searching.

Lucy shyly entered his room and began to examine her surroundings. She didn't expect Sesshomaru to keep many things in her room and the fact that his room was very tidy and neat (compared to Rein's which looked like a tornado had hit despite the extensive amounts of cleaning).
But what really seemed to caught her eye were the bones on the table. Lucy wasn't sure why they attracted her in the first place. They definitely weren't the most prettiest things she had ever seen; especially the skulls of the demons. The toddler shuddered a little and decided to stop her examination to see if Sesshomaru had found whatever he was searching for.
"Master...?"

Sesshomaru dug around, grunting with frustration as he went threw each folded shirt and pant. This was so much easier when he still had two arms. Still, he eventually found what he was after. He suddenly flung a leather sack Lucy's way, expecting her to catch it, before he closed the door and turned to face her. "That is what you will be keeping your water in for the entirety of our trip. You must learn to carry very little that will hold you down. Just what you need to survive." He said, before he walked to the other side of his room where there was a writing desk. He opened a drawer and shuffled around various items. Small ribs, charms, even a small scalp. Finally when he found what he wanted, he pulled out a small knife and held it out to the girl. "Here Lucy, this is for you." He said as he held it handle out. "You'll need this to prepare your meals and make shelter. Take good care of it, for it's going to be a very important tool for your survival."

Though her arms weren't quick enough, luckily, her vectors managed to catch the sack before it ended up hitting the girl in the face. The container was then gently placed in Lucy's waiting hands and she curiously inspected it, never having seen such a thing before. Upon hearing Sesshomaru calling out to her, Lucy looked up from the sack and then walked over towards the teen only to be handed with a new, and yet familiar, weapon. It wasn't that she didn't appreciate the gifts, it was quite the opposite. The toddler just seemed to be more interested, as well as favor, the weapon more.
"T-thank you, Master Sesshomaru!" Lucy says and smiles after she was done examining them. Obviously, the toddler didn't really know what was in store for her.

Sesshomaru let out a pleased smirk to the girls reaction, before he thought over if there where anything they where missing.. He was dressed, as was she. Both had containers for water. Both had weapons. Somewhere on Sesshomaru's person he kept a flint. Nope. He had all they needed for the seven days they would spend 'surviving'.
"Very well, we are ready to set out, Lucy. Tell me, have you ever gone camping before?" he asked as he lead the child out of the room, and eventually out of the household. Without waiting, Sesshomaru started down a path he had already made over his years of living by these woods, his hand idly swaying against his side.
