I've been doing my daily roaming around the AMC, and it seems that a lot of people are saying that this is the end for SasuSaku.
I'm not too worried as of yet. Sasuke wants to destroy the village, and no doubt, Sakura won't be too pleased about that.
But I hardly imagine Sakura to end up saying "The person I was so devoted to wants to crush my village so I'm going to go to the next best guy", do you?
If anything, I think this will make her even more determined to kick some sense in to him and bring him home.
I think out of anything, Sasuke is angry. The last 8 years of his life has been a lie and the answer has been around him the whole time, it's just that no one has told him. I'd be ticked off it that was me.
I don't think he wants to crush the village as much as the ANBU for making his brother do such a thing in the first place. But, of course, it the ANBU crumbles, the village is soon to follow.
That's what I think, so far. I'll probably have more ideas about the outcome of it all after Kishimoto goes in to more detail about why Sasuke wants to destroy the village.
So. Any more ideas? Do you think SasuSaku is done for?

I don't want to think that... but it seems so hard lately not to think of that....
But, the reason I'm keeping my hope is because of the latest Kishimoto interview.
He said Naruto's taking the back seat and Sakura and Kakashi (and Sasuke, but we know that's already happening) are going to get some spotlight.
He said Sakura for a reason. So, I'm going to wait patiently to see what spotlight she's going to get heart
...
And this is a little off topic... but I think Kakashi's going to die :[

He said Naruto's taking the back seat and Sakura and Kakashi (and Sasuke, but we know that's already happening) are going to get some spotlight.

First off, I almost cried when I saw Sasuke crying. D:
And I agree with what you've said. Sasuke's confused and angry, and being the type of person he is, he tries to solve his problems with revenge. It's like his way of coping.
Would Sakura be upset about this? Hell yeah! But just because she's upset doesn't mean she'd abandon him and give up on her feelings. She would probably try talking him out of it - that's one fo her greatest strengths, in my opinion. Being able to talk out problems and solve things on an emotional basis, rather than jumping to conclusions and into a fight.

So... yea. But it's only a hunch.
Also, to be a little more on topic, I agree with you guys who said Sakura would try to convince him out of the situation more than abandon him.

x) I will stick by SasuSaku 'til the end...Whatever end that is. But I'll keep hoping!
The thing is, since Naruto will be taking the back seat, he probably won't be in sight for a while, so we will have Sakura, Kakashi, and Sasuke to focus on. For Kakashi, I'm not sure, but I hope he will not die in this Konoha attack because if he does who will forgive Sasuke...Will he be redeemable? In my eyes, Sasuke can't be the final villain, so unless he will be redeemed at the end or he will die. The latter part seems unlikely, or at least not until the end...But I don't think Kishi will kill Sasuke off, the last sole survivor of the Uchiha clan (not really county Madara...D=)
Anyhow, I'm very eager already to see how Kishi will deliver Sakura's development. And I think the big part of it will involve Sasuke because of how he is/was the main reason Sakura is Sakura today. She will play an important role (hopefully Kishi!) when her time comes =3
Kishi made Karin who's head over heels over Sasuke, I like to think that as a reason. Her feelings and Sakura's feelings towards Sasuke are different, and I'd like to see how it will unravel ... Oooh, this will be good.
Sasuke, just remain being a good boy, okay!

ah welll still a fan. I mean I'm also a Yamato/Mimi (digimon)
fan even if Yamato got married with Sora.
....yep. I find them cute still so no way am i giving up on that.
