So, today was the start of my zone's festival. (Zone 10)
It's hosted at my school, and runs until tomorrow.
My group was the first up on the list. It's the first time as an ensemble that we were actually being graded. Last year, they didn't want to be scored.
So we're waiting in our band room, when lo and behold....
We get a gold award.
So, discuss:
- Past memories of NYSSMA solos/festivals
- If you are in Zone 10, how did your ensemble do?
- Any other exciting moments during Majors.

ha ha. I have no idea what zone i'm in. 8 maybe?
whenever i have done nyssma we've always gotten a gold. when i was in elementary school, our mid. school band got a gold with distinction. (spelled right??) yayyy! yeah, we're special.
sigh.... two years ago, the guy was announcing our group and pronounced the name if our school wrong. .....which was kinda funny because we were hosting it that year....
you know what i just realized? NYSSMA is just for new-yorkers. 'cause it stands for New York State..........other junk i cant remember.
