Our mansion is bigger than the National Museam of Art History in Japan. By 10,000 square feet. It's seated on ten large acres, two for the gardens and back yard, one for the front yard; one and a half acres for the house itself; and two for the pool, the pool house, and the separated guest rooms.
The house itself has a total of thriteen bedrooms, ten upstairs and three going down the hall of the east wing.. Not all used for bedrooms - several of the upstairs rooms are used as storage rooms for our mom's latest clothing ideas. There are three studys, seven full baths, six half baths, and two formal living rooms. We have two entertainment rooms, one on each floor. Of course, a kitchen downstairs, and less formal one upstairs. There is also an indoor pool toward the back of the house. --Copied from an old Twins house and slightly revised. -H- --

Outani took a deep breath and knocked. She held a couple of boxes wrapped in orange wrapping and topped with big brown bows. It was the first day of Fall and she wanted to kick it off by giving gifts to everyone, hopefully making friends. She never really made friends in the few monthes of the beginning of school due to her usual shyness to new people but she was ready to change that.
She lifted her hand and knocked again, her courage slowly slipping as every second stayed unaswered. She looked to the ground and sighed, "This was a stupid idea."

"Hai, hai," Kaoru called, opening the door. "The fabric is supposed to be brought to the..." he trailed off as his amber gaze realized it wasn't the order his mother was waiting on and instead, one of the girls from school. "Ah... sorry about that. I thought you were someone else. Is there something I can help you with?" Kaoru asked, dressed in a pair of burnished dark red slacks, white t-shirt with over black vest, and a pair of pricey looking tennis shoes. While it looked plain, it was evident that all of it was name brand and none of it was cheap.

Outani looked up at Kaoru and blushed. She saw all the expensive stuff he was wearing and quickly worried her gifts would be too petty. "Um I'm sure you don't remember me from class but my name is Outani," she handed him the two orange and brown wrapped boxes, "I wanted to give you and Hikaru gifts for the begining of fall." She looked to the ground, afraid of his answer.

Kaoru paused, looking down at the gifts and smiled softly. He'd listened to her words. Had she really been able to tell which twin he was? Sure, there were times when it was obvious, but as far as he knew, only Haruhi had ever been so sure about which one was which.
"Well, thank you very much, Outani-san. It was very nice of you to do such a thing. We'll have to come up with something to return the favor. Of course, my brother isn't here currently. He's with our mother, helping her with a fashion show." Kaoru thought for a moment before stepping back from the door. "Would you like to come in for a bit? Perhaps have some tea?"

She blushed and smiled a softly, "I-I'd very much like that." She felt happiness glow in her heart. He seemed like he acctually liked getting the gifts and was even offering to let her in. Maybe she could make friends this year after all.

Kaoru smiled and bowed, motioning for her to complete the invitation and move inside. "Good. I take it you're new around here. Did you move into the home down the street?" he asked, his amber gaze slightly curious as he spoke.

Outani bowed back and shook her head, "No I moved here from Osaku." Osaku was the poor small town out in the country of Japan. Even now she lived in a one room apartment with her grandmother. Outani guessed she had to be on eof the poorest girls at their school, she could barely affrord the uniform and had to give up a month's salary to buy it. "But it's very nice here. I'm glad I moved," Outani smiled as she walked inside.

Kaoru blinked, his amber gaze seemingly thoughtful. "Is that so? Well, how'd you get into Ouran then, if you don't mind me asking. I mean, it isn't the cheapest school around."

Outani blushed and laughed embarassed, "I got in on an Art scholarship."

Kaoru laughed, leading the way around the place, giving her a brief tour of the downstairs. "Wow, that must mean that you're really good at what you do. That's amazing."

With the crunching of gravel, the taxi drove slowly up the Hitachiin estate drive. Of the two people in the car, one wore an expression of awe and worry that he might be trespassing while the second; a young woman with long black hair and almost teal colored eyes; was all smiles. Looking back the cabby shot his rider a glance then turned forward. "You... really live here?" He asked tentatively, not wanting to insult her if he'd be getting a good tip out of it.
Sora sighed quietly but didn't loose her smile and her eyes stayed excitedly fixed on the bright gleaming marble of the Mansion's face. "Yes, with my cousins and their two sons." Her answer was simple and to the point. Thankfully, her short answer seemed to have blocked any other questions the driver might have and they pulled up to the steps a few moments later. With her hands shaking slightly, Sora pulled the handle of the door and pushed it open. Then, slowly, she pulled out a set of crutches and set them on the ground before she gingerly pulled herself up.
It had been several months since the girl had been here last, but this time she was able to walk - more or less - on the grounds which for her was a first.

Kaoru heard the cab and ran outside before he could say anything. Hikaru was due back today and it was possible that this was him. Yet when he noticed the vehicle was a taxi and not a limo, his bright expression fell slightly. Yet when he saw who got out of the cab, and without her wheelchair, his eyes once more brightened somewhat. "Sora! You're walking!" He called out, surprise in his voice, but it sounded happy.
"I didn't know you were coming today. Why didn't you call?! I could have had a car sent for you!" he said as he moved to carefully give her a hug.

Sora giggled quietly at his reaction before she walked slowly toward him. After a long hug, the girl pulled back and shook her head. "A cab was fine. You know how stubborn I can be... anyway, how are things here? Where's Hikaru?" The twins were rarely out of sight of each other, so to see the youngest by himself was strange.

"It's nice to have you home sir. Will your mom be following soon?" The limo driver glanced in the rear-view mirror at a rather sullen looking teen. Hikaru turned his head slightly toward the front, his eyes hidden behind dark glasses before he looked back out the window. "I don't know. You know mom..." He shrugged. Hikaru hadn't really wanted to go in the first place so much had been happening with the club and in his personal life but his mom had a... demanding air. It had only been a couple weeks but he missed his brother and friends - one friend in particular.
Even as he thought of her, Hikaru pulled his phone out and quickly dialed a number. He swallowed hard before pushing the send button and lifting the earpiece to his ear. Hopefully she would answer. Hopefully she wouldn't be mad. Hopefully...

Kaoru's smile fell at his brother's name. "Oh, well, he went with mom this time around. So he's been away for a while. But, you're back, so that makes things better."
