Good News: I got an e-mail to go to the 22nd annual International Society of Poets Convention and Symposium. It honors poetic accomplishments. And you can big prizes! It's during July 24-27, 2008. It sounds great! xd
Bad News: It's in Las Vegas! But just to get in it costs $595.00 for full convention registration for poets and $375.00 full convention registration for each guest. And that doesn't include food, hotel, gas, and whatever else. crying

I don't know that sounds a little fishy to me. No convention I've ever gone to has asked for more than $150 to get in, and that's a FOUR day event, which was the Star Wars Celebration III, which was really well known. Does the e-mail have have a website you can visit? Check things out? If not, I don't think it's very valid and even if they have a website I think it would be good to see if you can find more information on it through other means, like Google or Wikipedia, or Newspapers. From the look of things it sounds like they're just after your money. I know that sounds pessimistic, but come on, over half a thousand dollars just to get IN? That doesn't sound right at all. Plus, guest registration? I've never heard of any convention that would have a lower amount just to bring a "friend" in. I'd really research it a bit more throughly. 3nodding

Well I asked your opinion when I changed my name. So clearly your opinion is highly respected here.

It's always a such sad event when a loved one dies. sad It hurts a lot especially when they die so young. Might I ask how this kittened passed on?
You now have one more guardian angel watching out for you. For the kitten knew you loved her so much, and with her passing on into the next realm, she will help to protect you and guide you, though you might not know it. heart

Earlier on in the week, somehow her back legs got paralyzed. So she had a hard time getting around. Our cats are outside cats. And it got cold last night. She couldn't get to a warm place and we didn't know. She died this morning. Probably from hypothermia that is my guess anyway. crying
