DID YOU READ THE "HACKER WATCH" thread ?
I told members about lots of stuff. But one thats
back, is the fake log-in box.
If you already logged in, then later after you open
a forum topic or a private message, or anything else,
and you get a pop up telling you to log in again.
DO NOT DO IT !!!
Its a trick, and your account will be stolen !!!
Heres what the Admins. announced a few minutes ago:
Phony Password Pop-ups: Tricky scammers have been
embedding phony password request pop-ups into images.
If you randomly see a window asking for your Gaia
username and password, don't fall for it. It's a scammer
trying to steal your account. Here's an example of what
these pop-ups look like:
(It was a kinda silverish official looking sign in box)
If you get a pop-up like this in a Private Message or
from a forum post, please remember to report it!
Report it. If anything like that happens here in the
guild, and you don't know how to report it, send
me a private message, telling me exactly which
thread you were opening and what time it happened.
THE BOTTOM LINE, DO NOT EVER LOG-IN AGAIN,
AFTER YOU HAVE ALREADY SUCCESSFULLY
LOGGED IN !!!

DON'T LOG IN AGAIN. THE BOX TELLING YOU TO LOG IN IS FAKE, YOU WILL HAVE YOUR ACCOUNT STOLEN IF YOU LOG IN AGAIN !!!

The only time its ever safe to log in a second time is when you use the gaia toolbar,
but you should still be careful when logging in to it,
to be safest,
close the window and open a new one if it ever says that you're logged out.

Here's something that you might not know,
a while ago there was a way to see how much gold people had using tektek.org,
many hackers used it to find targets.
tektek no longer has it,
but there is now a way to see what items you have.
to avoid being targeted,
1,
if some1 says that the link to ur profile isnt working then don't send them it.
-its because there's a code in your profile url that only the owner of thye profile can see which is needed.
and 2, put stuff that ur not using into your storage locker.

Your tiny font, on top of a light color,
are very hard to see...

The main thing is always pay attention to where your going, when it says "now leaving Gaia", be sure it what you want before you click ahead. And of course, never ever log in again, for any reason...
